    Hey Reza. Long time UAE resident here (over 30 years) and just came across this vid and your channel. Nice short vids, great and informative narration. I will definitely subscribe after this comment. I just bought the 2024M3LR and the only one round trip I made from Khalkidiya Area Abu Dhabi to The Palm Jumairah and back home again I was really impressed with the range. If my memory serves me correctly I started off at 100% and came back home at 40% with no charging whatsoever. I will do a similar experiment like yours to get more accurate results on my next trip.

      Hey Essa, glad you liked the videos and thanks for subscribing.
      That's a really good range you got with your 2024 M3LR and could you share on what was your average causing speed on the highway between AD and Dubai? Also which rim size do you have?

      @@iamrezmo I usually average 130 km/hr and have the 19 inch Nova wheels. I figure that I'd get better range if I had the 18 inch Photon wheels. Any ways, I have a day trip this Saturday from Khalidiya Abu Dhabi to Deira City Center and then Dubai City Walk and then back home to Khaldiya. I'll start at 100% charged and then see what I have left when I finish. I'm curious to see the results, especially in this heat. Will report back Saturday evening or Sunday. Stay tuned for the "scientific results", lol.

      @@iamrezmo Alright. Just got back to home to Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi after a roundtrip to Mirdif, Dubai. Left 10am and returned 5pm. 19 inch Tires @ 43psi, outside temp 40 degrees, inside temp 21 degrees and cruising at 120km/hr average. Started @100% charge and finished @30% charge. Total distance traveled 335kms (52kWh Total Energy & 155Wh/km Avg. Energy). So some quick math I figure if had I consumed all of the 100% charge, the car's real range would be 480kms. Not bad at all, no range anxiety and very happy. Yeah, I think I'll stick to my current LR instead of upgrading to the performance; I prefer the extra range, and the power my LR has is more than sufficient for me.

      @@McEssen Honestly that's amazing! didn't expect it to retain 30% at the end of your journey and I agree keep the LR as it has more than enough power for daily commute and more range for long trips.
      I'll do a new video on summer roundtrip test between Dubai and Abu Dhabi with the S Plaid and see how much battery it would consume.

    Going 140 will drain the battery significantly faster than going 120. Its also better to charge to 80% as it charges a lot slower on the last 10%.

    • @iamrezmo
      @iamrezmo  Рік тому +3

      Higher speed surely drains faster but majority will be driving at higher speed between cities so it’s good for them to be informed how much battery consumption it takes.
      Charging to 80% is good for within the city or even 90%. I would prefer charging to 100% at home before I start the journey. You also have to understand that using the Tesla supercharger network are currently free in the UAE and you don’t get fined for keeping you car plugged in after your car is done charging.
      Therefore, this will create longer queue times at the SC and I would rather try to skip and save my time.

    Thanks for the review. I live in Bangkok, Thailand. It’s hot here too. Most of review I read conducted in cold weather countries and do not apply in hot countries at all.
    Thank you!!!!!!!

    Thanks - loved your video! One of the best review videos I have ever seen.
    I have some questions and will be great if u can answer. FYI - i'm planning to buy the 2024 long range model 3 photon wheels car & i have to travel to dubai x Abu dhabi everyday (5 days ina week - roughly 320 KMS)
    Questions:
    1. It is not recommended by tesla to charge the car 100% everyday right? So on a daily level - we have to stop at 80-85% correct?
    2. In case of 80% battery, the travel with high speed (130-140KM) + AC + music system constant: will probably end up very close to the range of 320 KMS.. technically can be risky and would require me to recharge on the way back?
    CorrecT?

    • @iamrezmo
      @iamrezmo  28 днів тому

      Hey, thank you for watching and glad you liked it! During the summer, I would recommend charging higher than usual, as the hot weather can drain more battery.
      1. Tesla recommends charging to 80% for daily use, but they don’t advise against charging to 100% if needed. I've charged to 100% many times for long journeys to avoid needing to stop at crowded Superchargers, saving time by not waiting in queues.
      2. Predicting consumption can be tricky since various factors come into play. It’s a good idea to charge to 100% a few times and monitor how much you consume on your trips. Based on those results, you can set your charge limit accordingly.

    I own the Ultra Red 2023 X. I'm amazed how fast it charges at 250 kilowatts. Here in the states if there is empty charging stall it is recommended to leave an empty stall between you and the next charging stall. By doing this it keeps the kilowatts more consistent. Of course this not always possible. Has the heat affected the overall range of your Tesla?

    • @iamrezmo
      @iamrezmo  Рік тому

      Definitely 250 kw charging speed is great but like you said it’s not always the case when all super chargers are being used at the same time. The same rule should apply here with leaving an empty stall between you and the next charging.
      Not sure if heat has affected the battery range the same way cold weather does but battery consumption goes higher due to using the AC much more at lowest cooling temp. It reached 50C/122F in august so you can imagine how hot cars can get.
      Next time I visit the service center I’ll ask them for my battery health and if heat has had a negative effect on it.

    Hi,
    1 doubt.
    Can’t we use CCS type to charge a tesla, if we have that adapter?

    • @iamrezmo
      @iamrezmo  11 місяців тому +1

      Hi I personally haven’t tried it but have seen other non CCS port Teslas use adaptors they bought from Tesla to charge at Teslas supercharger network.
      Keep in mind that if you are planning to import from outside the UAE better to check with Tesla if the Supercharge network will be accessible. As some features are geographically locked etc
