Tesla Supercharging Is No Longer Free in UAE – What It Costs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
As of November 2024, Tesla Superchargers in the UAE are no longer free.
Charging now costs AED 1.26 per kWh, with idle fees of AED 4 per minute if your Tesla remains plugged in after charging is complete at a busy station. These charges currently only apply to Supercharger stations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
This update marks a significant change for Tesla owners in UAE.

Nice video. Did you register your car on the Adnoc Dist app or do you just use the one time charging scanning? I tried to register my car but it shows that my numberplate isn’t registered to me in the emirate.
@@fpyssel Thanks for watching the video and glad you liked it. I registered my car in the App and didn’t face any issue with registering the details of the vehicle. Maybe try contacting ADNOC support team to sort it out.
Nice finally a simple fair comparison. Is it fast enough for me to trade in my 2023 ? No but the new seats and rear screen for my son is sticking in my head. So 2023 162mph 0-60 3.1 2024 163mph 0-60 2.9 It’s the tires that limit the speed for safety. A model 3 could hit the 180mph range but tires is the issue. 200? No the rpm on the motor would burn out Still 162 is fast enough And 2.9 and 3.1 and 3.0 are all in the same. Quick. People say teslas are quick but not fast. Meaning from around town driving red light to red light. Telsa wins. On the 1/4 mile Tesla on an equal vehicle Tesla wins. On the 1/2 mile the super cars win Carwow a tesla plaid track pack unlocked the 200mph vs a Bugatti Chiron track pack 300mph they tied at the 1/4 mile 9.6sec Plaid $100,000 Bugatti $4,100,000 I’d be embarrassed to spend that much on a tie. Also 1/8 or red light to red light plaid smoked Bugatti BUT on 1/2 and 1 mile Tesla was in the rear view
why dont you just install another charger or two?
One charger is enough since we’re rarely all home at the same time, and once one car is done charging, we just plug in the next.
Can’t lie. This video is the reason I just took delivery. Thank you
Glad to hear that and congrats on your new car! What color did you get?
Taking delivery tomorrow… can’t wait

It should be half the price at least for the charging rate in the UAE. As maximum rate in UAE is 0.33 aed /kwh. Better go with petrol then. Not much of a difference with a hybrid and no waiting time to fuel up.
@@TheM1o2h3d4 I agree and most people would likely rethink to buy EV here.

Thanks for sharing estimated charging costs. What do you think of the prices?
@@iamrezmo I think it’s important to recognize the positive steps Tesla and the UAE government have taken over the years. For a long time, Supercharging has been free, which is commendable, and now that a unified price is being introduced, it's a logical step toward sustainability and fair pricing . As we know, EVs are still largely in the niche market(mostly on expensive side), and owners of Teslas or other EVs are generally well-informed about their vehicles’ charging needs. Those who truly understand the technology-such as battery chemistry (nickel cobalt, Lithium)and charging dynamics-will not be overly concerned with the pricing, especially since many public destination chargers remain free. In addition to push the EVS in the market car brands already started giving offers such as 1 year free supercharging etc. That said, the introduction of a pricing model is a good move, and there’s room to make it even more customer-friendly. For example, implementing dynamic pricing based on charging speed could be a great idea. Offering options where users can choose between a faster or slower charge, with corresponding pricing (e.g., a lower price for slower speeds and a higher price for faster charging), could add flexibility. This way, users can decide whether they need a quick top-up or a slower, more economical charge. Overall, it’s a positive step forward for the EV ecosystem, and I think it will be well-received as long as there’s continued focus on flexibility and user choice.
Interesting, never knew SC was free in Dubai. Do you have free slow charging available?
Yeah and in the past there was free public parking for Tesla and no need to pay for SALIK. Today I used the normal home chargers in Dubai hills mall and it’s still free but if it’s DEWA or other public chargers then it’s not for free.
@@iamrezmo Interesting! I live near Amazon offices in the USA, I usually charge there its pretty slow 8kwh but its free cant complain 🤷♀
@lai7h haha can’t complain with having a convenient free charging 😄
Do you get latest fsd version in uae or is there any restrictions
FSD is still not available in the UAE
Well that’s a coincidence, I sold my Model Y Performance just one day before the announcement. It was a pleasant and fun experience owning an EV but unfortunately it wasn’t practical due to my daily commutes. In my opinion monetizing the super chargers is an indicator that Tesla is planning to expand its superchargers network in the UAE!
That’s a very good timing you sold and yes EV is surly not the best if it doesn’t fit your commute. Yes I’ve been told there is good plans in place for the supercharger expansion for long journey trips across the emirates and between GCC countries.
Are EVs easy to drive in UAE? Enough chargers?
@@AgilHuseynov EVs are easy to drive in UAE but not sure about non Tesla EVs. Public chargers in my opinion aren’t enough as more EVs are coming in the market but even if there is it’s a must to have a home charger so you don’t depend on public chargers.
What about the limousine Tesla car bro

I drive around 200kms per day. Really want to get a Model 3 P but I drive fast, since its my daily route and I know where the radars are. I cant make my mind if I should go for model 3 LR or P. pls suggest.
@@dubai_Guy If you’re driving 200km a day, LR gives you better range and still has plenty of power for fast driving and quick acceleration. Try taking the LR for a test drive and feel the acceleration if you haven’t. Just keep in mind that driving long distances at higher speeds will drain more battery so having that extra range for longer journeys between cities will surely be beneficial. Also, if you’re planning to get the new M3P, the seats will not be as comfortable for long journeys compared to the Long Range. In the end, it’s all about whether you value range or acceleration more.
@@iamrezmo thank you for the detailed reply. i have never driven tesla before but had a ride in M3P and was surprised by its speed. will test drive a LR soon.
teslas best car!
I can’t maintain to keep clean for white interior. I try to get either stealth grey or white exterior but I don’t like how Tesla charging so much for choosing colors.
Some colors have many more steps. ALSO Tesla constantly tries to save costs in manufacturing, which is passed down to the customer. If for example "Mercedes" finds a cheaper way to do something... they ain't gonna lower the price... Tesla though... they will pass the savings on.
Dude nice car 😂❤❤❤❤
Been watching a few of your videos and trying so so hard to take you seriously 😅. I stopped watching at 50 seconds. First shot, check out my house, check it out, oh please ignore these two in the garage, I’m flexing here as we do this in Dubai. Later on we will look at the subject at hand. People in the Gulf states crack me up (I was born in Abu Dhabi)..but Dubai is another level. The people are lovely and very welcoming, but you can lose your self awareness. Bro, stick to being authentic, not fake and materialistic.

we need a range test on this one with the car fully charged to 100% and a speed of 140kmh
@@humaidrb I don’t have the car with me as it was given to me by Tesla for couple of days to review and give feedback but when I drove from Abu Dhabi to Dubai it was more or less the same as the previous M3P I had. It consumed about 25% - 30% single trip from Abu Dhabi to Dubai in the evening driving 140kmh. Although, consummation can be increased during peak summer periods in the UAE.
Dear Reza what do you do for work?
I'm a real estate agent here in Dubai
Thanks - loved your video! One of the best review videos I have ever seen. I have some questions and will be great if u can answer. FYI - i'm planning to buy the 2024 long range model 3 photon wheels car & i have to travel to dubai x Abu dhabi everyday (5 days ina week - roughly 320 KMS) Questions: 1. It is not recommended by tesla to charge the car 100% everyday right? So on a daily level - we have to stop at 80-85% correct? 2. In case of 80% battery, the travel with high speed (130-140KM) + AC + music system constant: will probably end up very close to the range of 320 KMS.. technically can be risky and would require me to recharge on the way back? CorrecT?
Hey, thank you for watching and glad you liked it! During the summer, I would recommend charging higher than usual, as the hot weather can drain more battery. 1. Tesla recommends charging to 80% for daily use, but they don’t advise against charging to 100% if needed. I've charged to 100% many times for long journeys to avoid needing to stop at crowded Superchargers, saving time by not waiting in queues. 2. Predicting consumption can be tricky since various factors come into play. It’s a good idea to charge to 100% a few times and monitor how much you consume on your trips. Based on those results, you can set your charge limit accordingly.
hi, just wanted to check if you bought tesla?
ADNOC seem expensive (especially if you use free Tesla superchargers - or have home charger)
I agree but if the Tesla superchargers are busy and you are in a hurry this can be an option. Plus non Tesla EV do not have a choice other than ADNOC or DEWA.

@@sara.cbc92 which part in the video exactly?
Hey Reza. New subscriber here from Abu Dhabi. I was annoyed by the lack of signal indicator and gear stalks as well. The crappy steering wheel haptic buttons are terrible and especially when trying to signal in roundabouts. Also the lack of a dash board instrument cluster display frustrated me because I had to constantly glance over at the main screen for vital info. These are glaring safety lapses by Tesla. Any ways, this is how I solved the problem and now the car is perfect: ua-cam.com/video/HARig3EJiR0/v-deo.html I used S3XY buttons from EnhanceAuto and posted the above video meant for my cousin so pls ignore the silliness in the video. Its an easy 10 min install and I even installed it in my cousin's Model S Plaid (easier than my M3). Let me know if you need any further info on this.
Hey Essa, I agree the lack of stalks is a problem for many and inconvenient in roundabouts. I've seen videos on the S3XY buttons and maybe I'll install it in the future. Does it void any warranty?
@@iamrezmo No. It does not void warranty. Even the EnhanceAuto website says so and many posts from other buttons users confirms this. However, if you are paranoid and want to be extra careful (like me) you can quickly and easily remove the commander and buttons, take it to service (which u know is not very often with Teslas) and then reinstall. It's honestly made driving so much more enjoyable and I now genuinely prefer driving with button stalks and button gear shifter than with driving even normal combustion engine cars. It's a game changer for me .
Hey Reza. Long time UAE resident here (over 30 years) and just came across this vid and your channel. Nice short vids, great and informative narration. I will definitely subscribe after this comment. I just bought the 2024M3LR and the only one round trip I made from Khalkidiya Area Abu Dhabi to The Palm Jumairah and back home again I was really impressed with the range. If my memory serves me correctly I started off at 100% and came back home at 40% with no charging whatsoever. I will do a similar experiment like yours to get more accurate results on my next trip.
Hey Essa, glad you liked the videos and thanks for subscribing. That's a really good range you got with your 2024 M3LR and could you share on what was your average causing speed on the highway between AD and Dubai? Also which rim size do you have?
@@iamrezmo I usually average 130 km/hr and have the 19 inch Nova wheels. I figure that I'd get better range if I had the 18 inch Photon wheels. Any ways, I have a day trip this Saturday from Khalidiya Abu Dhabi to Deira City Center and then Dubai City Walk and then back home to Khaldiya. I'll start at 100% charged and then see what I have left when I finish. I'm curious to see the results, especially in this heat. Will report back Saturday evening or Sunday. Stay tuned for the "scientific results", lol.
@@McEssen haha looking forward to it! 😄
@@iamrezmo Alright. Just got back to home to Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi after a roundtrip to Mirdif, Dubai. Left 10am and returned 5pm. 19 inch Tires @ 43psi, outside temp 40 degrees, inside temp 21 degrees and cruising at 120km/hr average. Started @100% charge and finished @30% charge. Total distance traveled 335kms (52kWh Total Energy & 155Wh/km Avg. Energy). So some quick math I figure if had I consumed all of the 100% charge, the car's real range would be 480kms. Not bad at all, no range anxiety and very happy. Yeah, I think I'll stick to my current LR instead of upgrading to the performance; I prefer the extra range, and the power my LR has is more than sufficient for me.
@@McEssen Honestly that's amazing! didn't expect it to retain 30% at the end of your journey and I agree keep the LR as it has more than enough power for daily commute and more range for long trips. I'll do a new video on summer roundtrip test between Dubai and Abu Dhabi with the S Plaid and see how much battery it would consume.
0:53 thats not for cooling tires, its a air screen that covers the wheels, there is no tire cooling, they already receive direct air from under the body, and even all cars have tabs to cover them as much as possible. and rear diffuser is for downforce.
