    In the northeast: we always travel with a leaf blower: much easier to clear your slides and roof of leaves or debris. Also ; in the northeast we use generators: we hardly ever have hookups and do just fine

      Lol we actually have a leaf blower, but it’s in an inconvenient spot, we’ve got to reorganize and get rid of some stuff when we get back to our storage unit in Florida 😆 and it definitely seems like we might be getting the generator out over here in this area of the country!

    I appreciate your camping / travel videos. For a big reason that you include the good and bad, including the maintenance that you’ve done on both your truck and trailer. It gives people an idea about things you could encounter along the way! Nice job for including that content! And the last thing I noticed is how you both have a positive attitude regardless the situation 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    As others have suggested, get a battery operated leaf blower for the roof. Makes easy work of that task. We have one brand of battery tools for the camper so that we only have to take one or two batteries.

    • @wildrvlife
      @wildrvlife  Рік тому

      Yes! We have a Milwaukee one that used the same batttery as our drills and pump, etc. it makes it convenient when everything is one brand like that

    We dry camp as much as we can. Most MA state parks are dry camping. In fact we are going dry camping in Sandwich MA this week. Love camping under the trees in the summer, it's a lot cooler. We have portable solar panels that we put in the sun while keeping cooler in the shade.

    First time viewer. We are fulltime retirees who lived our lives in CT. Visit our kids & grandkids every summer but no places to boondock. State parks and we know them well cannot accommodate big rigs at all. Unless you want to spend a night in a mall parking lot (and probably get kicked out), that's about it. Campgrounds are very expensive.

    One more thing I forgot to mention. Most of the backroads and many city roads were once horse routes in the 18th and 19th century. Backroads also are windy because they went around property lines of farmers. Later on they paved those horse and buggy routes.

    fyi, a lot of those "lists" that state that some place is voted best place to live, or the best beach, or the best night life arent actually a vote. The city/tourism council just pay a publication XX amount of dollars to be on the list, the ones paying the most get the top spot. They do it as a means to bring in more tourism and therefore more money to the town so its essentially just advertising

    Oh my goodness guys, when I saw that bridge I remembered a situation I was in a few years ago! I was driving a semi with a gross weight of 78,000 pounds plus. I had to take a detour and ended up on a 2,000 ft long bridge with a weight limit on it. I was WELL over! Im a Christian, but my ass was sucking up seat and my heart was in my throat and my mouth was speaking to the Lord. This was also a one and a half lane bridge..... Obviously by the grace of God I m hear typing today🤯!

      Oh my goodness!! 😳 that sounds TOO nerve wracking! We’ve seen some of those one and a half lane bridges and they always seem sooo sketchy! I would have been talking to the Lord too! 🤣

We put our huge “big tools” storage tote that used to be on a rack of our old rig into the new one’s storage bay, and we’ve been waiting to get back to Florida to our storage unit to off load some stuff and reorganize 😆 that’s one thing we definitely need to get back to a more accessible spot
