Repair on a Makita-em2600 petrol strimmer

- Lightweight and ergonomically designed petrol line trimmer from Makita is ideal for the domestic household requiring a quality line trimmer to keep on top of the lawn. Powered by a 25.7cc 2-stroke multi position engine which can be used at any angle without fuel starvation. The large 0.6 litre fuel tank means you can keep trimming for longer whilst the catalytic exhaust means for a cleaner working environment.
Designed with a spring assisted recoil making pulling over the engine much less work and an electronic ignition for reliable starting of this line trimmer upon every use. Featuring a soft grip loop handle which offers fantastic grip and comfort to the user whilst in control of this strimmer. Weighing in at only 4.8kg this lightweight machine is not only easy to use but very comfortable too.

Hi either the hight or low screw needs adjustment check the Carb make sure its clean

Hi Rob, my ER2600L starts ok but after a while when I squeeze the throttle trigger it stalls or nearly stalls . Is this a fuel issue or perhaps the carb? Grateful if you could offer advice - cheers
I have the same problem.Every season need change carb.Realy stupid model from makita with 25.7ccm engine.

Universal ones mate buy them off ebay but if they are in good condition just wash them

@@Robsenginerepairs I was in my shed today, tidying up a wee bit. Found a 13mm socket that doesn’t belong to an6 of my sets. Possibly my sons. Proceeded to put in a box of odd sockets. Had a look through to see what was all in the box, two 10mm sockets. Neither of them from any socket set we have or have had. Odd 😁😁

Gday Rob. I have an EM4350RH which seems to be stuck in gear. On start, the head is always immediately engaged and in cutting mode. I cannot disengage to find neutral. The hand controls are not in the engaged positions. Anything obvious stand out to you ?
Hello bud it sounds to me like your clutch is stuck or worn try putting some wd40 at the bottom of the shaft closest to the engine as your clutch sits behind the shaft under the front plastic housing
