I am making an executive decision. After being encouraged by a friend and trying my hand at being myself on social media, as overwhelming as that was….
Despite the story I tell myself that I have nothing to say, I will be sharing moments and creating things that I enjoy. My friend has encouraged me to be myself and not super concerned with saying things in a fancy way or with perfectionism, I hope that they can be encouraged as well to release their work.
Skillshare is amazing, the downside also was for me there is pressure to learn a lot so you can make the month worth the price. Like paying for 1 class and it takes a month would be ok, but the classes don’t need a whole month; so you can try to pace it like college and take different ones every week or something to make it worth it but then you’re speed running skills and how is that effective? I was faced with information overload. Like a kid in a candy store, I loved everything but didn’t have time for everything. There are other sites like Cousera, Domestika, Udemy where you can purchase courses - participate with students, interact with the lecturer, and there’s a path to take. You get to keep access to the course after you purchase it (at least Domestika allows that) but buying courses is also another catch-22, you’d have a digital library - it’s up to you to use the skills you learn. Learning is fun though!
My point though, I will not make more Skillshare content unless/until I join Skillshare again. I hope to somewhat be like my friend, carefree yet intentional, and have fun. My friend does have a lot to share and we await the next adventure 👀 I would like to make a commitment and ask for accountability - regardless of my schedule. I would like to have 100 videos uploaded to this channel by May 16, 2026 and this would not count any trailer/teaser videos.
