Scott's mum is the biggest problem. He is a child and she is failing him. Mum seems to not want to let him grow up. I think alot of the problems is these kids come from households where other members are all obese, and most of the families don't want to change their habits to support their child/family member.

Personally. I feel like when they come home from camp they needs to be more help/support to make sure there doing all the right stuff and that is parents to they need to help to if the parents needs to lose weight and won’t that will affect on the kid. Emily might of lost a bit of weight who knows.

Tanisha looks so much better, it’s unfortunate she doesn’t get support from her family. Emily looks great too. Scott is a pain in the arse and carry’s on like a baby, his mother makes things a lot worse. He needs to grow up, take responsibility for his weight instead of blaming it on the scales, the way he acted while exercising must have been very embarrassing for his family, they all need a good wake up call.

He's a child though. He shouldn't have to really worry about gaining or losing weight until he's out on his own. The food given to him by his parents should be healthy and balanced otherwise it's abuse. If he's going and buying junk with pocket money or something then yes scold him but his parents have clearly shaped him into being lazy and gluttonous.

Tanisha Update: based on her family's social media pages, by 2013 she had unfortunately gained A LOT of weight back and that trajectory seems to have continued. In the most recent photos (2021) she looks to be back in the 500s, 400s at best.

My teen child turned himself from a plump boy into a gorgeous slim young man by throwing away chips, fizzy drinks and sweets, started jogging and working out. From 13 to 14 he changed himself dramatically. My youngest buys junk food when I don’t see, she’s 11 and massively into sports so it’s not so harmful but I feel like we’re on the edge. Now at 40 I’m reconsidering what I eat and what I serve to others. My other kid is allergic so it’s an issue when it comes to veggies and fruits but we’re coping. The biggest problem so far is my husband who is not willing to change. I’m going to explain the risks for children.

Just want to let everyone know, since the Breaking code silence movement has gained traction, Aspen Education Group (the group that Wellspring academy was a part of) has been exposed as being EXTREMELY abusive to teenagers. Even though wellspring academies are now closed, Aspen Education Group still has schools up and running that engage in extremely questionable therapy practices, and do things like restrain the kids, put them in isolation for MONTHS at a time and do random strip and cavity searches. They dehumanize and break these kids down until they blindly follow the rules and become and she'll of who they once where. It's awful.
