Thanks, Ms Nyberg. I just picked up a Fluke and have to crawl through the rotted wiring harness of my 1990 Volvo 740. I learned what I needed to know, and I will subscribe and watch your other videos.
Appreciate Video! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Franaar Shining Shape Formula (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good one off guide for revealing the secret to repair your electronic devices without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my old buddy Taylor finally got excellent success with it.

excuse me, try to use analog multimeter and checked LED ranging from X1 - X10 with correct polarity, the LED will lit and the resistance is in between 30 - 40 ohms . When I used a 3 volt battery with the same connection, why the LED did not function.
how is it possible that two spots on a circuit board where the screws go show continuity between one another? the holes for the screws have a piece of metal around them and I accidentally touched them and the multimeter beeps and shows 000.5 .. is that ok? I even get connectivity when I touch one of the sholes and a leg of one diode on the other side of the board. and another thing. when I try and recheck one diode, sometimes it beeps and sometimes it does not. I am so confused...

I have a three pole light switch connection between two double gang light switches, one in my bedroom and the other in my hallway. This is in a 1977 vintage apartment building in the US. NEC code now calls for use of a 14-3 cable for three-pole light switch connections (ability to turn on the same light from two different switches). But apparently back in 1977, this was not the case. The only cables available to me are 14-2's. And I don't want to pay to have a 14-3 wire in. I believe neutral wires were used as at least one traveler wire back then. I also understand that all traveler wires must be the EXACT SAME WIRE that DIRECTLY travels between the traveler terminals of the two switches. TRANSLATION: you cannot splice a neutral traveler spur connected at one end from the switch with the other end of the spur wire connected together with the four neutrals that come out of the double gang switch box. So my real question is this: how do I do a continuity test with a long wire connected between two double gang switches, to determine if it's the same wire or not?
To check continuity, try this simple method. Disconnect all wires at both switches, then twist any 2 together and check for continuity at the other switch, verify other wire by untwisting first 2 and twist together with the 3rd wire and check at other switch. Good luck

So maybe a techie person can help me here I have and after market light for my car. 1)One wire runs from the light to a switch 2) another wire with a 15 amp inline safety runs to the switch also. This wire runs directly to the positive battery terminal 3) my issue is I can't get the lights turned on. Anyone know or have a suggestion as to where something could be wrong? I've followed the steps by step instructions. Any suggestions would be great

Thank you for getting right to the point. I don’t need to hear 5 minutes of banter to know if multimeters are the right tool to check wire continuity
This is definitely one of the most helpful multimeter videos I’ve found. Thanks!

Thank you very ....but I ask when I test something like diode and I found reading on multimeter on continuity position what this reading for?
it must be the resistance.
Very Helpful! Thanks so much😊
Thanks for video keep going 🤠 greeting from Morocco
Great piece, thanks!

What does it mean when it beeps interuptly.?

How do we measure traces on a membrane?
How many ohm's precisely for the beep to sound? Less than 200?
I believe it typically beeps if the resistance is less than 50 ohms.
Just looked at my manual. Amprobe uses 10 ohms or less for the audible beep.
I'm getting a bit of a Moira Brown vibe from Fallout 3 :D

well explained 👏
I have a board and it seems to have continuity everywhere
There is continuity all over a board, that’s how electricity flows through the system so it operates 😂😂
Good ad for that multi but not very helpful when using a standard multimeter. The continuity test did nothing for me using that circuit board.
