  • A very important episode where I talk about what I call - 4 PILLARS of Capoeira movement:
    - Handstand - capoeira Bananeira
    - Headstand - Parada de Cabeça
    - Queda De Rins
    - Bridge - Capoeira Ponte / Volta de Lado
In my opinion those are 4 crucial capoeira techniques that every Capoeirista should not only know but MASTER! From my own experience those 4 techniques are CRUCIAL for any kind of capoeira movements, capoeira acrobatics and capoeira flow.
I believe that mastering those 4 techniques WILL GUARANTEE an insane amount of body control, body balance and strength.
    KEEP TRAINING!

Wow, I have the sae thoughts about capoeira floreio, I was always obsessed to combine 4 of them together in every combination possible. Actually I think their is one more important modern floreio basic. The one that we use for volta por cima, when you are staying on your shoulders/neck, but the content is really great! Enjoying watching you every time mate!

First of all, thanks for this comment bro! Really appreciate you took time to write it! Secondly I am super happy you enjoy my content :)
Thirdly - I know! I think a lot about Capoeira movement and try to find some kind of structure in the real of the movement. I found that most of the moves I know are based on those 4 moves. You say the 5th one could be for volta por cima... - the one you go directly through you shoulder, then neck? To be honest this is the only move I think I know that uses this position. Are there any other moves on your mind that use this position? Interesting!

      @@byMinho it's a pleasure for me Minho!
So... I actually can't name that moves, I don't remember all of the names in portugues, but I'll try to explain. So the one from handstand (or you can start from macaco) to this position and than you can go to your foot (like Jackie Chan). Also a lot of this position Contra-Mestre Italo does, when you go from queda de rins to this position and than again to queda de rins. Can't remember anything from headstand to this position, but I named already 3 diffrent transition, so you can play with them already ;)

@@user-zf6wx5rc2r Ahh those, yes. The one that Lee used to do in Tekken 3 - It's like a spring jumping backwards onto your hands and then back up. And yes, also the one from QDR. Yes, forgot about those!

Really enjoyed this one... These are all movements I struggle with, but have believed if I could make them, then I could train anything! So interesting hearing/seeing perspective of these movements as pillars of capoeira

Hi, glad you found it and hope you like it :D I train 4-5 times a week and since I came up with the concept (which was during the pandemic time) there is no training I wouldn't train at least one of those. So the answer is ... 4-5 times a week :)
