Fish to AVOID for a 20 Gallon Aquarium

Sadly I often see the wrong choices being made when beginners are picking fish for their 20 gallon tanks. a 3 foot / 60cm tank provides ample options and is one of my preferred tanks to use, however it does have its limits.

As someone with mollies, that like mollies, i'd avoid the "horny teenager" fish.

For colour cichlids, you can't go past South American cichlids like Apistos for their colours. They would be ideal for a 2-foot aquarium.

Definitely agree with this list! 👍 (not enough people are aware about mollies and swordtails in particular, and glad you mentioned barbs and especially axolotls as well)
Also I just love how your fish all just swarm to the glass when they see you, it’s so cute ❤
