I'm going to be neutral here. First of all, this should never happen at someone's wedding at all. If something needs to be discussed, then do it privately. However will not clarify his allegations. Many scholars ignore these lies and slanderous comments. Over time Allah guides the people and the goal is Islam- Quran and sunnah. I was confronted by Asrar Sahib during a wedding and he asked me for a debate to which I agreed. He told me to mention all the points on why I believe he is wrong.
I told him that I have already done that publicly in videos and also written it out so he must write a response. He told me that my questions are not even worth answering. So I told him if they aren't even worth it then why are you even stopping me now wanting to debate? It doesn't make sense.
In any case the objections upon him have been made public and are written as well. He has plenty of time to answer everything and clear misconceptions. I have given him plenty of time but he is not answering anything and not even retracting open errors. The ball is in his court.
The whole incident was being recorded and I didn't have anyone with me as Mufti Sahib and others had left. Nevertheless I sat with him to talk but gave him 2 straight answers basically:
I have already refuted you publicly in videos (meaning: so no need to repeat here)
Secondly I have also written questions out so please respond to everything in writing.
The issues against him have been publicly presented already. If he cannot answer anything then obviously we know why. He is in the wrong and doesn't have any answers.
Jumping on a person at someone else's wedding and asking for a "debate" isn't the manner befitting an "alim". It is time Shaykh Asrar Rashid sahib stops playing games and starts answering everything put to him.
So still no proof.
Asrar said he hasn't seen the videos or the allegations.
I'm my opinion the venue may have been the incorrect setting.

One rule for him and another rule for someone else? I’m a neutral and I’m not saying who is right overall till Sheikh Asrar agrees to a debate but it’s clear there is double standards. And why are his students so mannerless? You can’t call a scholar that’s greater than you in knowledge a LIAR. Abdullah Ibn Masud said “I learnt manners before I learnt the deen”. These people have not benefited from the deen they are taught they barely have any manners! Why is it ok for him to address a salafi as Ustadh and tackle the issue scholarly but not within the scholars of ahlus sunnah I find this very weird!
Apart from that I am interested in seeing a debate and whoever is on the truth will prevail inshallah

From the video I see that someone made slanderous /backbiting comments about another Muslim.
Asrar confronted the person.
The problem we have here is slander/backbiting is a big sin. It would appear the person was slanderous or backbiting as he has his allegations written somewhere. However will not clarify his allegations.
Many scholars ignore these lies and slanderous comments. Over time Allah guides the people and the goal is Islam- Quran and sunnah.
Asrar retaliated showing the slanderer/ backbiter, I do not fault him for doing that, it is his right to clear his name
@@gamzmasta1 munazra rashidiyya before an alim debates another alim you have to respectfully pay out conditions and everything for it with one another you can’t just jump into a debate like that akhi. You can’t look at this one sided I’m sure comments were given back and forth from both sides brother. But the problem I have is that there’s a time and place for everything a wedding of a syed is a happy occasion, you don’t gang up your students around a person hoping for a munazra that’s not how it works. They could’ve just said to one another that lets set a place and time to sort this out. end of story

Shaykh Asrar is a human, and the other learned counterpart which is Shahid made some outrageous remarks about Shaykh Asrar. So having being slandered he acted to confront him because he would’ve not gotten another chance

@@sheedo1999 I think you heard his lectures but didn’t listen to understand his points. He opposes sectarianism. He condemns other sects for doing mindless takfir on people. He opposes derogatory remarks of followers of Salafi and Deoband ulama for their extreme views and misinformation regarding certain Muslims, like making terms such as Barelvi, kaburi, etc, generalizing any to all specific misguidances to the general Sufi communities. He debates scholars because the scholars that’s what scholars are for, presenting and defending the views of deen. Sheikh Asrar also opposes traces the tracks of sectarianism within the Sunni (canonical) Islam to teachings and misinterpretations of certain scholars like Abdul Wahab etc, and is against their creed which promotes intolerance and greater division through sectarianism. I hope you pay attention to the context of his debate as a whole.

Its okay but also strange how everyone is defending the brother who got confronted and using the word ambush against the other brother, yet fail to condemn him for publicly speaking fallacy against his brother, then when confronted does not remember the questions, if he was telling the truth the brother would not necessarily be bothered about being confronted, its common sense and simple psychology of behavior which shows this, also eye contact was avoided quite often.
I'm not being rude, i am just stating facts, i have nothing against them nor do i know them, this is my first time hearing of this and i am just being raw and truthful about what I've seen so far. most people don't realize that having double standards is wrong in Islam and to be neutral in both sides with objective thinking not emotional, therefore, it becomes more rational.
I have advice for some fellow muslim brothers and that is be careful not to become amongst those who are considered hypocrites and double standards and be more straightforward and honest, try not to contradict ourselves and stay steadfast in your Imaan and deen.
