I think the best spot for this is right at the beginning of La Cite. Through the gate besides your carriage and hop on the little roof there. The guy a little ways off will immediately start firing electric balls at you. Nice and simple, same attack non-stop, no long pauses or guess work. Right near your carriage to spend the Anima and regain your health.

It's honestly really bad that the max amount you get gain from essence spirit is 2k
