LOCUS is a national technological festival organized every year at IOE, Pulchowk Campus. The event is a collaboration of students of Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering and Department of Electrical Engineering. Lasting for two to three days, the event comprises of various hardware and software events.
Participants from various engineering and +2 colleges take part during the event, showcasing their innovations. In addition to this, various conferences, paper presentations and some entertaining events like 3D movie shows and gaming competitions are also organized. This free event entertains about 50000 visitors over the period, the visitor list comprising of students, businessmen and common people alike.
Regarding technology, if you are a dreamer, this event is an excellent platform for you to showcase your work (software and hardware projects, research papers, etc.). If you are an enthusiast, you can witness, first-hand, the tech scene developing in Nepal with all the student projects, new gadgets, startups, and much more on exhibition. And with entertaining events like LAN gaming sessions and visual treats like movies and documentaries, there's something for everyone!
