PART 2: I was free from any broodings with a breeze that lulled about me I dashed like a tiny sparklet I flew like the leaves in woodlands A butterfly above the meadow I did taste the sweetest nectar from the cups of golden flowers that would shine to me like silver
PART 1: In my thoughts it stays forever in my memories I keep it that sweet time that is long gone now when I was a child and singing when I twittered as a lassie with a gayness of a sweet bird up among the clouds out yonder free I flew, without a worry.
PART 4: Like a shadow of a shed there I would sleep just like a wagtail and the peace would build its home there it would settle down beside me There was nothing to disturb me and no worries waking up then like the sorrow now inside me and the grief now in my bosom.
PART 3: Happy was I on the meadow with sweet thoughts upon the hummock like a flower on the hillside I spent my time there gently playing together with my sweet young sisters I was gently lulled into sleep by the breath of tender breezes from the nectar-scented country
@laelamarie1 Interesting - I didn't first understand your comment at all, because for me this is a happy song throughout! Then I re-read the translation - which is excellent as poetry goes - but some essential nuances are indeed missing. The song starts with a 'confrontational, matter of fact' form of denial 'eipä' as: 'there-is-really-no-way' (these memories could fade). During the whole song memories are present and living and are helping to carry through the current - even great - problems.
To nie muzyka to magia.

I simply Love their music
PART 3:

Tämä biisi on todellin mahtava! Se näyttää vähän kuin Värttinä =)
