It's sad how some people probably logged on as a kid, made something quick or a big project and now there probably an adult in a full time job or university and have probably be forgotten about by them, i suppose 2b2t is a museum for forgotten memories.

The loneliness of this path gets to me. Just imagine how many structures people have made that nobody has discovered. The simple vastness of this server is just amazing. Its lonely but in a peaceful way.

Watching the path slowly fall into disarray was kind of saddening... I'm not sure why, but the finality of the path just abruptly cutting off after just barely trudging on for that last 1000 blocks, accompanied by the past voices of the people who traveled before, just gives me a feeling of melancholy.

I have never been to the 2b2t server, and yet just seeing small parts of it's world brings a strong sense of nostalgia to my heart. 2b2t is truly a special server, in all it's unique ways.

I find this interesting that instead of making complex houses or minecart tracks people just decided to make paths that run on endlessly. I wonder why...
Because it's an Anarchy server, there are no rules. Anything they do build will inevitably get destroyed anyway. People build highways as a means for people to branch away from spawn and find untouched areas to build upon.
The people of 2b are a most curious bunch of characters, some are the most toxic people in existence while others are kind enough to rebuild what once was. Some build the most amazing things one can see in this wonderful game even though they know that it will be destroyed eventually yet they build it regardless... they are a VERY interesting group of players indeed...

In 2b2t, spawn is a giant empty cube going down to bedrock, with giant walls of obsidian stretching up to the vertical height limit, encasing the spawn and about 1,000 blocks on all sides of 0,0,0. Within this is a desolate hellscape, where all resources have been destroyed, and giant collumns of water stretch down from the air. Veteran players stand guard in this area, hunting down and killing any new players. The goal? To prevent anybody who is new from leaving spawn.

A lot of things about Minecraft nowadays is sad, because it was the current generation of the average Internet user's childhood, I remember I was 10 and I would go over to my friend's house to play minecraft and a few others, I used to be scared of mines and I was so happy when I got iron, there was this hierarchy and I was a few years older so naturally I was a bit better, good times.

And it's got so many people's marks everywhere- people who have long since left the server and you'll never meet. It's all ruins old and new. The flower trail feels very beginnings guide in its aura. Melancholically's not quite the feeling but it's the closest I can find

Although run down, it's not so much creepy. Just silent and peaceful and most of the time the atmosphere is thick with nastolga, most ruins have that effect. Except this isn't like an actual ruin, it won't rot and decompose. It'll just stay there, preserved as pixels. That's kinda sad, I'd say. Lol this is a sounds a bit deeper than it is.

I love your stuff. I'm interested in the 2b2t server, but almost all videos are FitMC's - and his style is far too over dramatic and self-aggrandizing. Thanks for appreciating the stuff people have built on the server for what it is.

It feels so... Depressing knowing about this server and how old it is.
It hits you very deep when you see the abandoned buildings then see that the flower path start to disappear and break.. it shows how ruined and old the server is.
To know that many people maybe shared nostalgia through this server.
You know, it made me feel lonely and small, as you walked down that old path, surrounded by old ruins and abandoned houses. With all of those signs left by players.
What makes it special that in singleplayer there's no one else aside you, but knowing that all of theese creations were build by other players... I don't know how to explain.
upd. Forgot to mention that I got to the internet only in 2014 on mobile, and in the 2018 I've somehow made it on a PC, so I never had an opportunity to take part in everything that happened before

I found a simple one block wide highway. It worked almost like a relay race where once it ended someone would leave a sign saying they were done then someone else would keep working, It went for at least as long as the one in this video and had some interesting abandoned cities right on the route which were almost completely ungriefed

2b2t inspired me to write this. It gives off this emotion that I had to capture in words.

2b2t is a source of digital history with a vast amount of inspirational content which you can observe and appreciate. among it's community, being interpreted as a toxic and destructful one, there ARE people who dedicated whole segments of time and resources to just bring a new set of value and memories around this server. What i decided to write is cheesy, a term I hate to be called by and see content be tagged with it, but in this case I just needed to state my clear appreciation towards these structures and ruins.
The mortal path of decrepit life and time

I can't explain this feeling, but it's just concentrated nostalgia, builds like bases we saw, the sand tower, the trail itself, with the music that's running in the background, the feeling was just... wow. The trail is propably either gonna get restored or griefed after this video, as i don't really have the money for premium queue and don't want to wait for hours in normal queue, don't really have experience with either survival or hacks, i'll propably never join 2b2t until something changes. I hope the path gets restored, leaves filled, flowers planted and maybe even the grass gets to grow, but it's propably gonna get griefed since in the video there was a general location stated :(

I had a world that I worked on for two years. My ex girlfriend and good friends played on it. I love looking at everything we all made and the things i worked on right before I stopped adding. I honestly can close my eyes an navigate through the world with photographic memory. It makes my heart hurt and it's a game. Bigger in feeling.
Same man we had a world just like that. It's sad to see all the great times you have are now all over...but at the same time makes you happy that they happened.
me and my ex worked on a world, its our dream irl. to be lost ina forest and build our houses. and when we broke up i came back to the world and i saw the signs she left saying she loves me, i tried calling her again and found out that shes still there playing minecraft and we just became friends
2b2t just seems like the most realistic postapocalyptic servers ive seen. I play on a laptop, so theres no way i could actually join, but what i see illustrates it so well: random creations by survivors, that might never be seen, and huge castles that could be destroyed in moments.
Well, my laptop sorta handled spawn. Well enough for me to run away at least. You should at least try
My favorite thing to see is "this person waz here - 2010" signs because it shows how long people have been on this server, and how many hackers, and trolls, and just normal people decided to keep that piece of history.

This is kinda like walking along the great wall of china. The wall conditions starts to get worse the further west you go from beijing until it just starts to fade away after Fort Jiayu near Sinkiang.

There's something bizarrely beautiful about the fact that someone took many many days out of their time and just made a lovely nature trail in Minecraft. All that chaos and he just made something peaceful and lovely.
Maybe they started the path before the flower update and then it came out and they wanted to bring in a little bit of the new flowers?

part of me wants to go and fix the broken down parts and continue the path on but i feel like its a historical relic that holds many stories that i don't want to disturb.
This is like discovering the ruins of an ancient long lost civilization.
I've seen a lot of builds in this game, but for some reason this one is really up there for me. It's a simple idea, but it's a nice idea and feels like a memorial of sorts to the game as it allows you to walk through the game and the years of its existence.

It's sad how at the beginning, The path was flourishing, in the middle, it kept trudging along. At the end though, the path started to break down at the last 1,000 blocks. It's really sad, IMO. Seeing abandoned buildings really make me sad, because once, in the server, there was life. Everything was flourishing with life. There were no griefers, hackers, trolls, and straight up rude people.

this video was so relaxing and peaceful for me to watch. the road seems so simple and everything, but it has a weird kind of beauty and calmness to it. all the popular and well known things were cool, sure, but sometimes the most beautiful things are the more hidden ones.
every once in a while i come back to this video, something about it is so calming- everything is so still, so peaceful for an anarchy server. it just brings down any anxiety i’m feeling, getting absorbed in the idea of people on the server putting aside any sort of malice to give into the curiosity of a path full of flowers. lovely video, fills me with tranquility every time. thank you.

The word "anarchy" only really suggests "no rulers". I've encountered plenty of toxic behavior from admins on totalitarian servers, and decent people on 2b.
Honestly, I sad that Bedrock does not have a true 2b2t, just tons of bad clones. The culture here could really help.

No the whole server is 3 terabytes, he only download a couple chunks, so it was probably like a couple hundred megabytes
In case you don't know, there's a 20k X 20k (4Gb) version you can (easily find on reddit and) download. I think it's like from 2017/8 or something. Been playing it for some days.
I haven't find any big non-grieved structure and no flower path, but i've found a really big trail, still it's fun you find a lot of houses hidden in hills, beaches, also some micro farms too.

I wasn't expecting much from this video, didn't think I'd finish the whole thing to be honest, but I was pleasantly surprised at just how peaceful and relaxing it was. Thank you for making this. I ended up finishing the whole thing and now I'm a bit sleepy lol.

I know it's a sad, negative thought, but the thought that this server is slowing down is an obvious note to it's incoming death. I think this server and this video hits home to all of us because it's universal. 2b2t is one of many servers people shared laughs with, had projects on, felt like they were a part of something on. I think it's so important and dear to those who actually have played Minecraft because it reminds us of the memories we had on our own individual servers. It's a place that those of us who are not fortunate enough to be able to go back to our old servers that we used to play on and look at our old structures, creations, and projects due to a reboot or just a plain shutdown. I think we get nostalgia, even from the memories of others because we can feel the laughs, we can feel the determination, we can feel the intent in every sign and placed block we see. Whether it be signs, placed when you were too lazy to get on Skype, it wouldn't open, or you just happened to meet someone that crossed your path, or even more commonly, leaving signs for your friends after longing off from a long night of playing on the server, attempting to make progress on that project you were so determined to complete. I think most of all it's the release that we took for granted from Minecraft. The way we idly held our memories and friendships. The way we watched our friends slowly stop appearing online and moving on. The friends who weren't allowed to have any sort of messaging systems other than Minecraft and you only got a goodbye from a sign with something along the lines of "Thank you for all the great memories. See you around.
Imagine the people who logged on for the first time as a kid. Imagine them making something quick and dedicating their time to this server. Imagine them making signs to inform people they’ve been there. Imagine the dates on their signs. Imagine if they became teens and they don’t play on this server too often. Imagine if they have a full time job or university now. Imagine if they forgot about this server. Forgot about the quick builds they have done. Forgot about the first log they chopped down. Forget everything in this server. 2b2t treasures and is a museum for the lost. forgotten memories. Cherished memories, nostalgic memories. How far we have come...

Gods, that was a shitfest, I think I died 7 or 8 times before the que was added because I supported the veterans but was relatively new on the server. Gotta say, if it ever quiets down again, I wouldn't mind putting some time into the server again...

2b2t, r/place and Twitch plays Pokémon were probably some of the most amazing events on the internet. Tons of people, compete strangers, all doing their own thing, eventually working together. My heart literally hurts because of the nostalgia. As of right now, January 2nd, 2020, nothing like this will ever happen again for a long time.
