Graham i really love what you are doing with the channel, and have purchased 2 firearms that i have seen you review. Great stuff and keep up the awesome work!
Excellent video. This is the GP we're going to purchase. Very well engineered and manufactured. My husband and I have been interested in this pistol for year's. Your detailed review provided us with the correct information. Thank you again 🙏
Jump on the Mk12s while they're still available. I suspect what is in inventory will be the last of them as the Mk23s roll out. If you want a decocker let Global Ordnance know.
I love my P 11, it goes with me everywhere. super accurate and reliable. On the p 11 you do not have to pull the release buttons to reassemble, should be the same on all of them. It makes it that much easier to reassemble.
Let me give you a tip for reassembly. @15:17 use your right hand to press down on the slide to the frame. At the same time take your left hand and use it as a clamp and squeeze the slide to the frame. Don't worry about the tabs at that point. When you have both of those actions done at the same time just let go of the slide and it should be secured to the frame. I have the P11 Mk12 with decocker.
Thanks. I can do it easily bracing the frame against my chest, but doing it out in front of me while looking at the screen of a 90 degree camera has proven challenging.
I absolutely love my K100! A fine fine gun! The machining, trigger, reliability and function is awesome! So glad I bought one! It’s a shame whatever is going on getting them in here is going on, because people are missing out on one fine pistol!
every time I take mine apart to clean it and it takes 4 or 5 tries to put it back together I swear I'm gonna sell it but then I look at the target and the groups I shot and think " oh hell no never gonna sell it "
it looks like more than 1 youtuber had some trouble putting it back together.lol.great review; i'll have to look at this one. i'd never heard of it before.
I love mechanically interesting guns! And the P1/P1D looks like the perfect size too. I hope I can handle one in one of my local shops. (I don't like to order any firearms without handling them first)
Great tabletop Graham, on such a sadly overlooked handgun, that at the very least should be taken out for a test drive before any snap judgments are made. I have seen and heard some comparisons between the Grand Power series and the Beretta PX4 Storm, but to be honest I can’t (I like both myself personally) and won’t, do what so many people in the gun community do.....it’s unfortunate really.....and that’s forcing handguns/shotguns/rifles that I prefer, down other peoples throats. Yeah I have Sig’s, CZ’s and Glock’s, but there are plenty of other gun manufacturers that produce reliable, long lasting, and budget friendly series of firearms. I’ve even picked up several handguns that you’ve reviewed on your channel (including several awesome single action revolvers!) In the last year, year and-a-half, I picked up my favorite 1911, the Rock Island Ultra FS HC. That’s 16+1 rounds of 10mm. So with my extra mag, that brings the total to 34 rounds! After you reviewed Slovakia’s offering to the world of firearms, the Arex Rex Zero 1, I waited a little while and got me a Rex Zero 1 Compact, that I absolutely love. Now I just need me a Rex Delta, and the new Steyr A2 MF, and I think I will be okay holding off from any new purchases for a little while.......maybe 😁 Looking forward to the range and “What’s for Dinner” video, if you are going to. **Edit** I forgot to mention that I’ve heard Grand Powers 10mm versions are “lower recoil” because of the rotating barrel. How true that is, I don’t know?
The take down on those grand Powers reminds me of an astra Constable I owned many years ago same takedown pain in the ass that's why I sold it, and they may be good guns, but that takedown procedure would keep me from buying it.
GB, your videos have inspired me to get a P1D! Question, why do some(more than one) vender say that the manufacturer is Bersa? Keep up the great videos, thanks
@@GBGuns In your opinion, will the current available P1D, GPP1D (earlier referred to as the Bersa) be the same or different from the one that Global Ordinance will be repping?
The roller bearing seems like a great idea for the rotating barrel. The downside of that system always seemed to be it's pretty high friction, but from how smooth it looks when you cycle it this seems to alleviate that problem.
I bought the K100D nice DA/SA pistol but the trigger shoe has sharp edges and I hate the field strip, range gun only for me. My RIA 1911 has a much smoother action.
I've been doing the same question on many pistol reviews when they are equipped with decockers. What prevents the gun from firing when the decocker is applied?
That depends on the gun. For the most part in one way or another something disable contact between hammer and firing pin. Either there is a plate that slides down and protects the firing pin, or something stops the hammer just shy of contact. I'm not sure what method is used on the Grand Powers, but can tell you after decocking hundreds of times in training (I've taken Grand Powers to Front Sight) that it works!
@@GBGuns I wrote to BERSA asking the same question last week about the TPR 9. No answer yet. Our Taurus has a hammer interceptor and a firing pin safety, when both fail (not so rare event), the pistol goes bang instead of click.
Thanks. I removed the mag release pin, oiled it, then tried grease, but still hard to press and a little sticky. Feels like the spring is a little to strong. Hope I’ll adapt. Other than that the pistol is excellent.
Worst reassembly ever, bought the previous version took me 30 minutes to get the slide back on without instructions or watching a video. Im sure now in a few mins tops but its still a daunting task and Im sure many people without the proper strength & patheric would ever get one back together. Great gun beyond stupid assembly and personally I wouldnt recommend it for that reason.
Too many easier ways to take down and reassemble handguns these days. Anything more than simple, is unnecessarily frustrating. Love the gun, but the takedown and reassemble is a poor choice of design.
Sorry, but this gun for me is fucking bullshit... too many functions and the assembly tricky and not ergonomic... no - never ever... thx. for your videos... Coco Suri from Germany

Thank you for sharing this information. Definitely will be ordering one. They are beautiful pistols with detailed craftsmanship. 🙏
Just cleaned my PpK lol. Love all the work yall do on lesser-known manufacturers; especially all the lovely double-action hammers ^_^

What was that sound around 15:20 and 16:20? Fail?
I've liked these Grand Power handguns since you've started reviewing them but I can't help but think the polymer looks very slick and toy-like.

Thumbs up on this video just because you pronounced ambidextrous correctly.
I'd buy a grand power if I could find one!
Might have luck on gunbroker.com. Found a P45, P11, and P11 Ultra as well. Not sure about the Q1, though.

Love grand power.. Still trying to get my hands on a k or a q100! Awesome gun 🔫!
Are u planning to do a review at the range? I started looking at these “demo” GP but still not much info. Thank you for your great table review!
Yes, we filmed it today. Will publish soon.

I had the k100d. Miss it every day. Sold it to get a Chiappa Rhino 40ds. :( both are great guns though

Have you tried the grand power Q100 striker fire pistol. Its an excellent pistol they've made.
Good stuff.
I kind of want a 10mm P40 Grand Power.
Fine design and quality.....just wished they would make a true, smaller size gun like Ruger LC9S or S&W Shield, etc.....that would be perfect.

Love your videos u keep it real - AMEN
Reminds me of taking down/reassembling a hi point.
Running on Empty
Who even knows how to do that.... shame on you
looks just like beretta px4 storm.

I've wanted to get an X-caliber for some time now.
GB, your videos have inspired me to get a P1D! Question, why do some(more than one) vender say that the manufacturer is Bersa?
Keep up the great videos, thanks
Thank you. I've seen that too. I believe it's because Grand Power used to be imported by Eagle Imports who also imports Bersa.
@@GBGuns In your opinion, will the current available P1D, GPP1D (earlier referred to as the Bersa) be the same or different from the one that Global Ordinance will be repping?
this grand power looks exactly 1mm short of Ideal
And another famous UA-camr has trouble reassembling a Grand Power. Hehehe...
I need to like theeeeeesseee!!!!

Is it possible to mount a red dot on this pistol? The top of the slide looks like it may not be possible.

What did you find out about the 'sticky' magazine release (10:00)? Mine is the same.

Firing pin safety, is necessary?
👍
Graham, did you ever get the magazine release to become less sticky? I bought a “demo” and same issue. Any tips would be appreciated.
I did not, but I mostly use the right side anyways.
Thanks. I removed the mag release pin, oiled it, then tried grease, but still hard to press and a little sticky. Feels like the spring is a little to strong. Hope I’ll adapt. Other than that the pistol is excellent.
Nice
Nice ..
Where was it makes from?
"Gun shop lore" the stories of actual problems with MIM parts in the past.
Yup. But manufacturing changes as does metallurgy and where mim parts are used.

Nice gun but I will not support their economy.

what did Slovakia do?
