I met a few police officers that are assholes and then I met some that are nice. So it's really case by case and it sucks that's the reality that our freedom and rights dwindle in the balance... I think we should Make sure the police get therapy and tested on being charismatic enough and know how to handle each individual situation ... Its case by case really...we need police officers that are well trained and well mentally stable enough to handle the job, not just throw them out in the street after going to the police academy and learning some ways to take people down, it takes more than just that. Some police officers i think get burnt out and they turn cold ,and mean and they abuse power because they're sick of it, sick of it people and their nastiness. Plus didn't the police begin recording the crimes so stuff like bad cops won't happen.
I’m with you brother. I’m retired after 46 years and have been on OIS investigations. I just rolled my eyes when Izzo said he made his judgement based on what the public sees, regardless of what occurred before or after. Clearly Izzo is full of himself. Stay safe brother.
You can't start CPR on a person who says he can't breathe because that person is still breathing with a beating heart. CPR -compressing the heart between the rib cage- would hurt or kill the person. The most that can be done is what was done -start EMS. Democracy really requires it's citizens to educate themselves.... Not to take anything from Egard, which has been insanely courageous in having uncensored conversations.

question - here in Switzerland, everyone who wants to get a drivers license is required to do a firstaid-class. CDL-drivers even an extended one to learn on how to use these automatic emergency-defibrilators and ekg-meters they mounted on every location... do you have something similar in the states? if not: why? bc the CPR-thing could be clear and, more importantly, people'd realised that GF was breathing in while DVs knee was on his shoulder. if you're choking, you can't breath in. When Cops start showing the respect to the people they kill will start showing respect when they die. It's bad enough that they get a King's funeral even if they're a scumbag top and now it looks like leaving give the dogs a King's funeral. It'd be different if the good guys always acted like the good guys and nine times out of 10 did the right thing but when a cop's asses on the line he's going to do what he's going to do for himself regardless of what's right. We've all seen what happens to the cops who make the right choices and where they usually end up. Obviously no one should be laughing or cheering about anyone's death but these cops want respect when they died that they would never give a perp. And after the cops kill you all they'll do is trash you and talk about your police record so this guy should shove it. Practice what you preach. Become the good guys were raised to think you are and then we can talk about respect.

Cops have to be the worst marketers in the history of marketing. The title of this charity has to be the worst one of any charity I've ever heard. I mean at least don't say the quiet part out loud I know you guys give a shit about each other more than the public but don't put it in the title. Just how annoyingly bad this title of the charity is says so much about the attitudes of police officers and why they have lost so much respect of the public.
