An introduction to my Stitch Journal for 2024 and some channel news too.

- I didn't expect to post a video this week, but then, once I had the idea in my head, I just had to do this little introduction and to give you channel news on what I will be posting in 2024.
There will be plenty of embroidery and slow stitching as usual, but I'll be adding more crafts into the mix too!
To start with I'll be making a Stitch Journal throughout 2024. I'll be posting this every Wednesday and I'm intending this to cover a wide variety of embroidery and stitching techniques. It will start simply and then go into different directions as the year progresses.
My Sunday videos will predominantly still be stitching, but will include other crafts too. I envisage knitting, hand stitched clothes, fabric sculpture and other crafts as the year progresses.
It all feels exciting to be planning it out. 2023 just sort of happened and took me along with it.... 2024 will be different in that I can plan what's coming up.
I hope you'll join me in what I'll be stitching and crafting too.

I love to hear that I'm not the only one to let a project lay for 10 years. My first quilt was laying untouched for that time in what I called the "shame-box" because I was so disappointed in my work on it. It took that time for me to accept that it does not have to be perfect. Now I work on my second one, and I'm so happy with it and it's a pleasure to hand quilt it.
Thank you for the content you are producing. I find it incredibly inspiring to watch.
That's absolutely what happened to me too... I relax more these days and probably get more enjoyment because of it ☺️

Thought you'd like to know that I made your wee cheesy bites to take to my sister-in-law's on Boxing Day and they went down a treat. Very tasty! I used red Leicester, which was quite crumbly and made the dough tricky to bring together, but I got there. Used a tiny flower shaped cutter and they came out very cute, looking vaguely like stars⭐💫😅
I'm pleased they worked out well. It's such a good recipe...

Thanks Pauline. It was all a bit hectic towards the end but we've had a lovely Christmas. There was just Luke, Naomi and her partner and my sister here and we really had a quiet but lovely time. Michael was there in our hearts 💕

I also have to say that you do give us alternative ideas for things,there is no need to charge around on-line for expensive materials or even things we cannot get in the UK. I did a daily stitching journal for 2023. Mine was in the form of a monthly calendar, so I will have 12 panels each the size 8x10 at the end of this month. I am going to put mine together as a wall hanging. It was a beautiful project to stitch on every day. Can’t wait to see yours
