I love MV agusta bikes, they are really gorgeous, i had a 2010 Brutale 1090RR (bought used in 2015) but i had a lot of problems with that, every 4 to 5 months i had to bring to service due to a very bad severity problems, like coolant leaked to the cilinders, generator failure and battery problems, and in every service they charged my about 500 to 800 usd, i finally sold it because my wallet suffered a lot. Now i wolud like to buy a brutale 800 2017 or 2018, but i'm affraid that it gonna have a lot of issues like the 1090RR that i had. I want to ask to owners of Brutale 800 2016 model on ahead if is a reliable bike or if it have big severity issues. Regards.

I have the same bike, and like u said, the bike is phenomenal to ride except for the harsh suspension. What exactly did you do to the rear shock to soften it up? Spring-rate, compression or rebound? It would be really helpful of you especially that I only weigh 60KG which means the setup is even harsher at my end. thanks! :)

Just soften it a bit on the rear Shock. (You can reach the screw with an offset screwdriver or a small ratschet) Turn at max to soft and then try and error - work your way backwards....I have it approx. 3/4 Firm (im weight about 13.4 Stone) Front I just turned the Compression (left Holm of the Front Suspension) one click Softer (one full turn to the left) and now it feels perfect for my riding style.

Hi Wing Nut, it's not really like a Super Moto at all - it is a nakedbike, with a sportsbike geometry and chassis. Haven't seen any stats on write offs, where did you read that? Cheers!

Not sure what you mean Andrew, unless you like to really go really posh and call it a Brutaleee. Brutal is pronounced very differently.

C'mon man, get your pronunciations right.
