Hey guys, Vycery here. I worked with Chris on these builds. Some of you wondered, why there is no Spread or Normal Shot. Let me clearify things. First of all, this is not a build for speedrunning. We do not aim for that in this video. Now for the Spread and Normal Decorations. Since we are aiming for True Crit Element, it is necassary to get 100% Affinity to make perfect use out of this skill. Spread and Normal Shot up only give you more Raw Attack. The Bow is the weapon, which benefits the most from elemental damage. I did some testing, and both of these decorations add around 3 damage per arrow. Most of you would say this is pretty good, but let me finish. In order to fit them into the build, you have to sacrifice some skills like Constitution or Weakness Exploit. With Constitution we have more damage uptime. In comparison, it is better to deal a little bit less damage for a longer period of time than do little bit more damage for only a couple of seconds. And for those wondering, why Mind's Eye instead of Spread Shot: Since we are going for elemental damage and Spread Shot only boosts raw attack, we decided to prioritise Mind's Eye. Mind's Eye shortens the critical range. This is good for using Power Shot Coatings and don't worry about being too close to the monster. I hope you now understand the intention of these build better. You could run level 1 constitution, eat for black belt and use a dash juice. Your stamina reduction would reach the 50% cap and you would be able to slot normal and spread on some of these builds.
@@XjerichoX12 Sure. You could change the Charm to Health Boost. You loose alot of damage there. But if you feel more confident with more health, go for it.
Monster Hunter changes from game to game, but one thing stays the same - you always have to grind that silver turd for the busted equipment he provides
Using silver sol head alpha, chest beta, arms alpha, namielle waist alpha and silver sol legs alpha would get you the same skills with constitution Level 3 and stamina surge level 1, only requiring older decorations. You would need to use the masters charm 4 in that case. At least for the Fire bow If you like me even have that refresh/physique jewel or the physique jewel + you could even play around a little.
There are a couple of errors - You can't do custom upgrades on the Kadachi and the Legiana bow because they don't have the generic bone/metal model, also the Legiana bow only has 5 max augment slots so you can't get Affinity 1 + Elemental 3, just 1 + 2. That said, great video!

ive been a bow user since i started mh world and usually when I see 30 crits, im pretty exicited since my damage is usually in the 17's as of right now and maybe 25 with crits. seeing those 50-110 crits youre doing really adds fuel to me wanting to get to endgame and grinding for those gears.
Dude it was sooooooooooooo satisfying for me finally getting to silver rathalos and getting that true critical element. I first remember when I had a semi decent end game high rank bow build, and I would get giddy seeing 30s and 40s on my max charge spreads lol Now I'm hitting like 70s on tenderized parts, and my equipment isn't even fully augmented.... Crazy how much more busted the master rank gear is
Not sure if this has been noted but quick side note: Some of the bows for which Custom Upgrades are mentioned like the Kadachi Strikebow and the Mist Glacia do not support Custom Upgrades. No need to worry about whether you're doing something wrong, this is just misinformation.

agreed. for now i'm grinding for teostra based set with brachy's hammer, cuz even when blast is bad, its still good. Can't wait to unlock gold rathian which has the status version of this armors element skill, because I already have the poison and paralysis weapons.
well my longlance does 170ish on each charged shell then 105 extra everytime it hits the wyrmstake blast aswell. thats 275 each shell pretty much and it does as far as I can tell huge staggering from the blasts =D
Would love an update to this with all the safi/alatreon/fatalis gear now, struggling to see what's better with an amour set but swappable bows and element jewels.
Same here! It's really difficult to drop the Fatalis bonuses after hunting so much with the complete set, really would love to see how you can make something similar with that set.
All of the HH depending on the songs you need ;) savage Jho is still one of the best. Teostra's orphe has an upgrade so it's pretty good. Not to forget, nergi's HH has the ruiner horn version now.
@@theblackbaron4119 I also noticed Tigrex's HH has a pretty good song list, as well as good damage to make it more offensive. Honestly been loving rocking 1500+ attack, with a mainly support build.
Get any Horn with Attack Up + Movement speed/evasion buff, the speed buff is insane and I think the bone horn is better than Tigrex because it wont need to run Glavenus set bonus for 100% affinity, you can just use Handicraft charm instead. For Long Gunlance, the best one is Deathlance Vaal Spysa, the only thing that matters is slots, shell level and sharpness and this weapon got it all over any other Long GL. Normal GL I have no idea yet, dont bother with Wide since there's no lvl 6 yet(capcom why)
You guys missed namiele alpha waist, it has constitution 2 and power surge 1. That way you can change silver rathalos waist for namiele, and garuga legs for silver rathalos legs and activate slinger capacity 5. This set still have slots to put decorations to make a better bow build.
@@thesexycasanova it has more element on it, which is a big deal... Of course, the Namielle bow is visually superior in every conceivable regard and thus the only option.

Great video, used your builds as a great layout for me to make my own builds. For the thunder build, I decided to swap out the greaves for kirin b, as it had innate thunder atk lvl 3 and great deco slots. Swapped out the charm for crit eye lvl 4 charm, which meant i only needed one single expert jewel. Was able to fit in both normal and spread shots 1 into it (without them being in mantles), so i was pretty happy with how it turned out.
As a bow main, this may have the highest damage numbers but it definitely isn't built for the average players. It takes a pro to maximize this, I tend to lean into more utility skills like stamina surge and constitution, make sure I have the best coatings (sleep and para), then focus on affinity and elemental damage last.
I just went to master rank so I haven't unlocked these yet. However this will be great for the future so I dont waste materials and my time going after the wrong things. I also enjoy that you guys are making this build to get the best out of the element bonus that we have available to us.
@@Rathadude yeah it doesn't have motion values like every other move. But there are specific moves which have an elemental multiplier. And Helmsplitter only does like 30% elemental damage if I remember correctly.

Ruiner, Namielle, Velkhana, Zinogre, and Silverlos are the best after Safi. Power prolonger does shit, so 0-2 Levels are enough. Flight more for casual Player, but could be usefull if you wanna spam R2, what is in fact a reliably Damagesource. (aparently it does not affect R2, because it does no mountdamage? the fuck Capcom?) The Rest would be a generic 100% Affinity + CritBoost Set, whit some Attack up Skills. Just go to a Armorbuilder and put in what you need
Dude... this is EXACTLY the build i use... 4 my ice and thunder bow .. other elements i use different weapons but im bow main and i can tell you this builts kick all monster asses

Build some tigrex armor... Head chest and waist, kaiser arms and garuga legs. Build some earpluggs, free meal and speed eating. WEX and you can choose to use handicraft charm or be a nice teammate and run wide range charm. Really fun to use in guiding lands... Potions are basicly for free.
Hello, you put a mighty bow in a 4 slot. I suggest puting a tenderizer/physique(or whatever) instead, and switch a tenderizer by the mighty bow. (you can also switch the stonethrower/physique by a stonethrower/expert with this set up for free 10% affinity, but I dont have it right now) Moreover, 2 of the 5 bows cant be optimised the same as you say. But ur video is quiet cool, it helped a lot, thank you.
The only thing it does is prevent arrows from being deflected, like with the elders' layer of defense on some body parts, and prevent you some slight DPS lost if you are too close while using power phials or none. Practically, this is literally useless since 1: you are playing bow, there is no reason at all you would be firing on non-weak part of the monster and 2: unless you are playing an ultra dashy playstyle (which is retarded anyway since it lowers your DPS and stamina) you would pretty much ALWAYS be in critical range no matter mind's eye or the phial usage unless you are very very unfamiliar with using bows. So all in all, only use the mind's eye deco if you want to pick-up the bow and you are literall garbage with it, so if you have at the very least a slight idea how to use it replace it with a spread jewel.
A month late, but don't listen to Paff, he doesn't know what he's talking about. The Mind's Eye deco, much like the set bonus version found on the Rathalos and Soul Armor sets, also carries Ballistics on it, which is what the deco would be used for. Ballistics drastically reduces your minimum optimum range, meaning your arrows will approach maximum power sooner on their flight path. In this case, that means you can still gain maximum firepower out of Power Coating even if standing extremely close to a monster to focus fire your Power Shots at a particular body part (especially smaller weak points like heads). It's not a necessity, but it's great for optimizing damage output from your Power Shots so you can hit those sweet 100's on your Power Shot/Power Coating crits.
I was wondering the same thing. Especially when you're speed running and the monster is on the ground half the time, you can just use close range coating
@A Random Seaelx Raw bow is a total meme. Used to be decent with wall shot spam but that isn't really viable anymore. You could run crit draw frost craft for giggles but it won't do nearly as much as element
Daniel Lapointe I wanna say that Crit Boost 3 and Level 7 Critical Eye along with all the elemental damage you’ll be doing from every crit will make up for the missing Normal and Spread shot decos. I’m not so sure though.
@@Renxio That and all the constitution gives you more damage uptime, which in the long run gives you more damage throughout the fight vs in short bursts with the spread/normal decos. The guy who made the builds for them explained it in a comment somewhere that these weren't made for speedrunning so he prioritized damage throughout the whole fight vs quick bursts when you can get the openings, hence why minds eye is in there as well for better critical range on the spread shots

custom upgrades are only applicable on bone and iron moster variant weapons (which means, if they do not retain the original bone and iron weapon designs, they are NOT applicable for custom upgrades) Any weapon with a unique weapon design will only be applicable for standard augments.
I'm guessing you didn't have all the custom upgrades for some of these bows because I seem to have slightly higher element than you showed on a few of them
Yup I got 270 hours and no tenderizer jewels or critical jewels. My brother got 3 tenderizer and 2 critical and he doesn't even use them. I've literally farmed for both, but no luck :(

Stamina surge and constitution aren't utility skills for bow...they're some of the most important skills for keeping high dps

Anja bow is definitely worse than Glav bow. Glav bow has neutral affinity and 2 deco slots while anja bow has negative affinity and 0 slots.

I'm confused about the custom mod part. I'm not able to do them on the ice and thunder bow, was that just a mistake in the video since it's a staple on all the others?
Legiana and Kadachi bows cant be optimize, however you can augment them with element/status effect up

Build some tigrex armor... Head chest and waist, kaiser arms and garuga legs.
Build some earpluggs, free meal and speed eating. WEX and you can choose to use handicraft charm or be a nice teammate and run wide range charm. Really fun to use in guiding lands... Potions are basicly for free.

Hello, you put a mighty bow in a 4 slot. I suggest puting a tenderizer/physique(or whatever) instead, and switch a tenderizer by the mighty bow. (you can also switch the stonethrower/physique by a stonethrower/expert with this set up for free 10% affinity, but I dont have it right now)
Moreover, 2 of the 5 bows cant be optimised the same as you say.

Is there a reason why you would need the mind's eye deco?
The only thing it does is prevent arrows from being deflected, like with the elders' layer of defense on some body parts, and prevent you some slight DPS lost if you are too close while using power phials or none.
Practically, this is literally useless since 1: you are playing bow, there is no reason at all you would be firing on non-weak part of the monster and 2: unless you are playing an ultra dashy playstyle (which is retarded anyway since it lowers your DPS and stamina) you would pretty much ALWAYS be in critical range no matter mind's eye or the phial usage unless you are very very unfamiliar with using bows.
So all in all, only use the mind's eye deco if you want to pick-up the bow and you are literall garbage with it, so if you have at the very least a slight idea how to use it replace it with a spread jewel.
minds eye is like having the close range coating on permanently and you can still use your power coatings etc
A month late, but don't listen to Paff, he doesn't know what he's talking about. The Mind's Eye deco, much like the set bonus version found on the Rathalos and Soul Armor sets, also carries Ballistics on it, which is what the deco would be used for.
Ballistics drastically reduces your minimum optimum range, meaning your arrows will approach maximum power sooner on their flight path. In this case, that means you can still gain maximum firepower out of Power Coating even if standing extremely close to a monster to focus fire your Power Shots at a particular body part (especially smaller weak points like heads).
It's not a necessity, but it's great for optimizing damage output from your Power Shots so you can hit those sweet 100's on your Power Shot/Power Coating crits.

A constitution/air borne adds extra to grapple damage goes up by 7 damage per each arrow on dismount.

You can swap that mighty bow jewel on the braces with one of the tenderizer jewels, then put a tenderizer/any jewel

I was wondering the same thing. Especially when you're speed running and the monster is on the ground half the time, you can just use close range coating

No, bow is an elemental weapon. Cant use it for raw or blast, if you do so it turns from best weapon into worst

@A Random Seaelx Raw bow is a total meme. Used to be decent with wall shot spam but that isn't really viable anymore. You could run crit draw frost craft for giggles but it won't do nearly as much as element

Daniel Lapointe I wanna say that Crit Boost 3 and Level 7 Critical Eye along with all the elemental damage you’ll be doing from every crit will make up for the missing Normal and Spread shot decos. I’m not so sure though.
@@Renxio That and all the constitution gives you more damage uptime, which in the long run gives you more damage throughout the fight vs in short bursts with the spread/normal decos. The guy who made the builds for them explained it in a comment somewhere that these weren't made for speedrunning so he prioritized damage throughout the whole fight vs quick bursts when you can get the openings, hence why minds eye is in there as well for better critical range on the spread shots

Nop i can't do it either. it must be level locked i think.
custom upgrades are only applicable on bone and iron moster variant weapons (which means, if they do not retain the original bone and iron weapon designs, they are NOT applicable for custom upgrades) Any weapon with a unique weapon design will only be applicable for standard augments.

Yup I got 270 hours and no tenderizer jewels or critical jewels. My brother got 3 tenderizer and 2 critical and he doesn't even use them. I've literally farmed for both, but no luck :(

You can equip certain things to help you find more equipment and more rare equipment as well. Keep that in mind.
