Ryanair - absolutely fantastic company. Before that most of us would never have been able to travel overseas. Do not complain about extra charges, without them we have 1. no airline and 2. paying £700+ to fly to Europe which is exactly what it used to cost before no frills airlines as I used to travel on business a lot so I know.

I say the same for white people who immigrated to other countries they are not "expats" they are immigrants just like "brown people" especially those who fled from Ukraine and Russia and into countries like Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia and the Middle East. They fled Ukraine due to the war and now are settling in other countries especially throughout Asia and the Middle East so I wouldn't class them as expats they are immigrants.

I tend to look at these issues with real politique and see continued support for Israel as worrying given its changing political and religious demographics. Many within Israel think its moving towards a religious fascist state in the future. Those of moderate and leftist views are on the decline, due to birth rates and emigration whilst many of those on the religious right have had a policy of deliberately having large family's. Many of them believe in the IDEA of a ""greater Israel" which includes aggressive military expansion. We already see this with the 700,000 illegal settlers in the west bank and many of those extremists serve in the I.D.F.

Isreal is the only country that does not throw homosexuals off the roofs of buildings. It also has a large Christian population. Isreal is very tolerant, especially compared to its neighbors who want to eliminate them off our planet.
You've clearly drawn some inaccurate conclusions, and I'm speaking as an Israeli who regularly protested and fought against issues like this in Israel. You're conflating a lot. Yes, there's a concern about religious people dominating society with numbers and pushing out liberal ideals, but those religious people are Haredim, who aren't settlers. Similarly, most "settlers" are people who live in communities around Jerusalem and similar areas which are certainly internationally fraught due to being captured from Jordan who annexed them, but are completely normal regular people living in regular looking communities and cities. There's extremist settlers in small settlements which are fully ideological and are concerning, and many are illegal by Israeli law but have political protection over it, but in numbers that's basically a few thousand people. The actual violent terrible crazies are a few hundred, and they're all banned from the IDF- you can't serve if you have a criminal record. There was a fear of extremism getting into the IDF a few years back, but luckily there was a lot of pushback from the army. That doesn't mean it isn't a concern, but it's not anything close to the scale you're implying. So basically - Haredim are a concern but they're also not settlers and their issues are about things like engaging with women, and most "settlers" aren't the crazed extremists you and I worry about, they're a small group with unfortunate power ATM due to parliamentary shenanigans.
In short, yes, there's always a concern about how demographics change democracies- I can't imagine that's unheard of in your country! And it is a long term fear. And also, the current terrible government stays afloat by building coalitions with terrible tiny minority parties of the worst people, but that again is a small groups- it's a fear in any parliamentary county. In general, I personally feel and see things moving in a very positive and centrist direction, and of course continued shouting and protest all over for what I believe and why, but I also think you're sort of mixing up a lot of things into one and drawing massive alarmist conclusions. But the best antidote is to finally pry this government out which the vast, vast majority of us detest.
Also, moderates and leftists also have lots of children, and they're not fleeing Israel. Yes, 2-3 children aren't equivalent to the 6 of Haredim, but unlike everywhere else in the modern world we're not falling off a demographic cliff. Frankly the issue that nearly all religious groups have vastly more children than non-religous is likely to be a bigger issue in the West where everyone is under replacement
Similarly "greater Israel" is mostly a myth, and if you look at most nations all over the world they have the same- "greater Syria" is a big concern for everyone in the Levant, trust me. The question is more about Gaza and the West Bank, and at this moment it's been proven what unilateral withdrawal will bring, so that's not really an easy solution ahead, because the PA leadership have zero incentive to not just perpetuate everything indefinitely
@@urbanarmory I bow to greater knowledge but that is the information we are receiving in the west and from the likes of your own Haaretz newspaper. It is also leading to falling support for Israel. What doesn't help, also is massive Israeli propaganda which is easily debunked by a media which was largely supportive after oct 7th. The general impression is that if Netanyahu goes a right wing government will remain and also that the majority of the Israeli's are very pro continuation of of the war
Personally I think the only way to consistently oppose Shamima’s presence in this country is to support ethno-nationalism and citizenship based on ancestry. The left are right when they say that the civic nationalist types are being “racist”. Whether you like it or not she is a British citizen and is entitled under the current paradigm to trial by jury. You cannot simply render people stateless under the current paradigm. If you want to be consistent you should deprive her entire family of citizenship and encourage everyone from her background to repatriate themselves
