Hello! Great video! I work at a school, and we are looking for projects like this for our students. If you could make a step by step pdf of this I'm sure people would buy it from you! Just an idea :)
Maple, any hardwood will be OK oak ,beech something strong that isn't going to break the first time you crash ,great simple joinery that you can make in a day, you don't see the hand made ones around any more and they are the best, will last forever
Hi, I am a middle school student who wants to build this for an engineering class, so could you tell us the sizes of all the wood so I could build this, Thank You.

I did! Thanks much.
Handsome design! How did it hold up, after 2 years of sledding? Thanks for sharing the dimensions you used, I might be making one of these.
Thank You! It's still in great condition. Granted I live in Phoenix so we go very little to sled.
Nordic cool!
What kind of wood is this and where do you get it?

Why did you take the time to mark all 3? You only need to mark one, and then you can use it as a pattern to mark the other 2.
Why did you waste the back 4 or 5 inches of seating area by putting the seat back so far forward?
Probably so you dont tip backwards
