@@lowsiento9567 I tapped out the hole and yes the same plugs for what the factory calls for. She still running good. I was nervous as heck tapping it out but took my time
You forgot to allow the High Temp Sealer to adhere to the the head. Way to quick, plus no cleaning out of the shivers in the cylinder before inserting the Helicoil.
The high temp sealer used on the insert threads has to sit up to 24 hours. Based on another reply to a comment, he doesn't wait at all so I am not sure why he didn't show it. It is important to let the sealer sit before starting though.
This just happened to a go cart that I’m fixing up for my son. It’s a 140 cc motor and the plug just blew out. Do you think the same size that you used in this video will work for the go cart
Okay so my plug blow out. It has the exact same helix coil/ thread adapter whatever. But the threds on the plug are completely fine but will not tighten down. Ik the threads have to be messed up but what i dont understand is that the tnreads on the coil are completely normal. Any help here?
You did not clean the grease off the newly tapped hole, so the lok-tite will not hold. Watch Ron Williams Cla Van insert video for correct way to do this
Sometimes the insert will try to come out with a spark plug. if that happens he can leave the plug and insert in for a few hours and let the silicone dry.
@@doublek441 Someone once mentioned that they remove loctite fitted bolts by heating them up. Wouldn't cylinder heat keep melting loctite? I have a spark plug that is always coming out with the insert and I dont know what to put... Is the high heat RTV superior for the job than loctite?
For anyone that sees this comment... plz for the love of whatever god u beleive in... blow out the cylinder.. or vacuum it out.. something.. you dont want metal shavings of any size inside there.. i cant beleive he didnt do that.. or didnt show it at least.. and y cant you use the tapered spark plug if you use the tapered tool.. to widen it out.. wouldnt it serve the same purpose? May be just a little harder to get the plug back out i guess..
Just watched this and I have a 2000 f250 with the 5.4 with 2 valves and so far it’s working great. Thanks for your video
Did you use the same spark plug for the threads to sit in ?

I can’t believe how are you doing this job I believe this is not your car is for somebody else you are definitely a rookie hammer mechanic
What did he do wrong?
LOL! At Minute 3:16 I thought my phone was warning of a low battery. Had to play the video again to make sure.😆

Yeah. You got to vacuum the metal shavings and you got to let the threadlocker set.
The insert prevents the spark plug from protruding into the cylinder as far as it normally would. By upwards of 1/4” or more. Is this an issue?
All Triton motor owners are here 👀
Good video. Should have started it up. 😊
Great video, thanks!
Is cylinder 2 the most common one to spit out?
Thanks! All I wanted to know.
Great video Sir. Thank you. I remember that sound.
What size kit do I use for a 2011 Mercedes Benz C300
Thank you for the video.
Why did you not include starting up the vehicle afterwards?

My ford mustang just popped my spark plug while I was driving in javelin to go get this kit
Ive noticed the M14 - 1.25 in a few videos. Is this a standard size for autos?...I have a 2007 civic with a 1.8L 4 cyl I need to do this to.
Yes
I’m trying to get this done on a 2003 explorer but I would never use any Electric/Air tools on a spark plug that seems catastrophic
2:37 what is the name of that extension you used . I can’t find it…
Thank you 👍🙏
Is still holding

Hey Enrico de aRojas Would you please give a link to the video you talk about
So your not going to see if its too low and that it won't hit the piston.
Yea gotta be top dead center I was looking for this comment

Which Tool do I need exactly for Same stuff but for my Audi A4 b5 82D… 1.8 .
Dealer only for Audi. Its $832 plus tax
What are the chances of the insert not staying when going to remove the spark plug? I just want to make sure I get it right.

Or you can use the tool you used to bore the hole out to put the coil in then screw the spark plug in
You put motocraft gray up on it.. if i used lock tite it will still hold right?
Yes

Why is it number two allies. Number 2 sucks. Center back.
