Libria in Equilibrium; Chicago in Divergent.😀😀😀
San Fransokyo
new york of 2265 from the 5th element and san angeles from demolition man
Thise were in this and solid choices. @@erzaender
Let's see what Zootopia looks like next year. 😊
Metropolis (1927) by Fritz Lang is such a masterpiece, and it inspired almost every other Sci-Fi film on this list! I definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it.
I was disappointed we don't have flying cars, but now i realize we actually just don't have falling fire balls and I'm okay with that 😂
I'm surprised that "Brazil" (1985) did not make the list, considering just how influential the design of that film's city is.
I was waiting for it to appear. I think they missed one.
Good one!
Black Panther wasn't set in the future. It just had more advanced tech.
Oh okay.
It was futuristic!
2035 is close
Only 11 years away!
That's far away.
2035 is already here; visit Dubai! Looks exactly like iRobot city design.😂
@@Shervin86 Dubai and Hong Kong are both in 2050 !!
Do not let the thumbnail distract you
I'm going through my home feed and then BOOM! I see booty.
Nice feet to bad she's married
What about the city from total recall
First movie, or remake? On Earth or on Mars?
@@davidanderson_surrey_bc I don’t know one of them would have been good. I’ve also never seen the remake but good question
I was just watching the old top 10 just before this happened
0:47 I don't remember this in 2011
Another cool video, Watch Mojo. Thank you.
It's amazing how we can see the future in movies! Some of the facts about these movies are interesting, some scary, like number 14. I learned about "Ghost from the Shell" in an ad. Also, I have seen "Big Hero 6" and "Meet the Robinsons". Great list, WatchMojo!
2019 LA in Blade Runner is cool. 🎉
🥉
London, England in V for Vendetta.
The small Village in The Trueman show.
Solid list. Ghost in the shell and blade runner are a must in this list. The cyberpunk style is really fascinating. I love seeing post-apocalyptic lands as well.
Libria from the movie, Equilibrium.
i liked the tron city a lot
Very nice cities. I would like to live in Hil Valley, city in Demolition Man,minus report cards, minuses on swearing, insulting toys,New York in Fifth Element. Great video😀
Wakanda is pretty cool

I’m seeing where a lot of video game inspirations came from. Cool.
Sometimes in the future could be a scary thought of why the cities are gonna be way different than from the old times where we lived. However, I hope all cities will be much safer in the future because of the crime rates been skyrocketed. Great vid, Mojo.

Lots of great visions here, but I'd rank the top three differently...
1. "Metropolis" for its far-sightedness, eerie prescience, and use of every single tool in the toolbox to construct something vast and detailed.
2. "The Fifth Element" for imagining a New York that cranks up the size, depth, and sheer kinetic energy by orders of magnitude.
3. "Blade Runner" for showing us what mega architecture can look like if we invent stronger construction materials.
Fun fact: the design of LA in Blade Runner is partially based on Brasilia. The original plans for the Brazilian capital city were created by architect Oscar Neymar.
I, robot was a great inspiration to build Detroit becomes human. I need to watch both cloud atlas and metropolis.
I can’t wait to see what cities and small towns will look like by 2050 and how many of them will have roads for self driving cars. It would be cool to have a sort of fast and furious/ cannonball crossover with future cities where they are big race tracks and you aren’t just on the ground you can race across roofs and through buildings that would be cool and funny sci fi really needs to expand cross overs a bit more.
Pretty much the same as now, I mean many buildings are decades old already
So I guess I was the only one weirded out when the 2020 Olympics was set in Tokyo? No one else got Akira vibes.
Also boo for not including Total Recall and Robocop. Those two made the city as much a character as the stars.
I like the futuristic movie city in Astro Boy.
8:21 The future we all want
17:27 The future we're most likely to get.
The top 3 were very good choices
“Multipass”
next is "futuristic cities on TV"!
like... Eden from "Captain Laserhawk" and Neo Gotham from "Batman Beyond"!
I was waiting for The Island to be mentioned..😔
Altered Carbon
Dark City
Total Recall (1990 original one)
Neo-Seoul from Cloud Atlas ❤.
What to do with a bridge when ground vehicles are phased out? Put solar panels on the deck!
I thought it was a clever idea in the Kelvin timeline.
2015 Hill Valley is my favourite.
Can you do this in shows and anime? That would be cool.
Where's my hoverboard ? Come on , Mattel . 😊
The more I think about it them not including the Axiom on the list is for the best. That's a city that proves AI technology will destroy us all.
I like Lagos , Nigeria in Iwaju . I saw that . 😊
Now do Future Cities in tv shows, video games and anime
Good list, but I would have added New York City from Futurama
Isn't it called New New York? Or is it New New New York? Apparently the city was destroyed once or twice in the 2600s by aliens, if I recall.
San Fransokyo from Disney’s Big Hero 6 isn’t a futuristic movie city it’s not set around an alternate future Disney’s Big Hero 6 is adapted from the Marvel Comic Book of the same name and San Fransokyo is based on the real life cities of San Francisco California USA and Tokyo Japan not on any futuristic cities
Neo Tokyo from Evangelion should have made the list.
Irobot got so much right it's insane......10 years from now cars will be electric lead by Audi how crazy is that
I, Robot got almost everything meaningful from Asimov's short stories wrong.
I’ve not seen Meet The Robinsons, Ghost In The Shell, Dredd, I’ve only the San Francisco world in Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness I don’t remember it being in the 3rd film. I’ve not seen Big Hero 6 also and Metropolis.
What about Tim Burton's Gotham? Does that count?
"Hi! Who are *you?*
"I'm Pinocchio."
"Where are you from?"
"San Franokyo."
"Would you like some Pepsi?"
"I drink Cokeyo."
"May I borrow a cigarette?"
"I don't smokeyo."
There’s only one futuristic city I’d want to live in, and that’s Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Republic. To put it in the words of Ric Olé from _Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace,_ “The entire planet is one big city.”
Interesting!
So... no vacation at the country cottage then.
Crazy to think that BLADE RUNNER,,
Is now set in the past,,,,,,,,
As a Brit and Londoner, I don't want to live in a metropolis that bans spicy food. 🥵😋😁❤
I don't know... the air would be easier to breathe. Just sayin'.
Seoul- “2009 Lost Memories”
Detroit in Robocop. Where else does that movie work?
Logansport Run is an excellent movie!
No 8️⃣ This is a futuristic city I'd want to visit if it was ever real 🏙️
I had a funny feeling Akira and Blade Runner would be the top 2.
san fransokyo seems like my type of city
Ah, but how to market Rice-a-roni?
Airlandis - Dragon Flyz
IRobot in 2035 might actually be an accurate prediction with the rate we're going lol.
By the time cities of the world become these, I'm already long dead.
New Port City
Redbull means something different in minority report
2019, L.A.
Miss few of them
Blade Runner easily #1. TOP.
Velarian resembles tattowine
"I, Robot" sounds more insightful every day... KDM
Too bad Will Smith is such a bad actor!

Several of these city visions lose precious points by failing to materialize when predicted. That's the problem with looking only, say 30 years or so into the future. Optimistic visionaries tend to think *everything* will change radically in a single generation, when usually it's only the small-scale stuff that does (e.g., cellphones, internet, news sources).
That's why movies like "Back to the Future Part II", "Blade Runner", and "Demolition Man" are so horribly off the mark. If you watch these movies today, you have to pretend the story (all of which are pretty good in their own right btw) takes place *much* farther into the future.

again spam
All you do is spam pointless emojis that add nothing to the discussion about the video. Also since you spam the same emoji in multiple videos is considered spamming now
