  • We have always used a chemical toilet in the van so when Trelino asked if we'd be interesting in trying out a composting toilet we obviously said yes.
We really didn't know what to expect and had the usual doubts and trepidations. Once we got over those we have been converted!
Eco-friendly, no harmful chemicals and a lot less hassle to use it.

I have a Trelino in my motorhome it's so much better than the old black tank.

Wouldn't be without our Boxio separating toilet - it's been a real game changer for us and like you say it's a much more environment friendly approach
Handily ours came with a top cushion especially designed to turn it into a seat so it's been a win win for us!

Two videos in one day. It almost feels like Christmas! Great review gentlemen. At present, due to the tight confines of our Nissan Pathfinder, we use a folding toilet seat and either dig a hole or use a bag with kitty litter. I need a better storage bin for the used bags though. It can be a bit smelly. But other wise, our set up works okay. But this little rig would be just about perfect. But I'm guessing this toilet does not come cheap? I think that I might look up composting toilet designs and maybe build one for cheap. I like the urine collector, since well, Nicole isn't a bloke! Like you two, I can go water a tree with ease. Cheers!

Thanks Micky. We look at it as a long term saving for people if they buy one. Especially for people who off grid. No chemicals to buy, less weight means a fuel saving no having to stay on a site or visit a site and pay for emptying out. Looking at it that way it is an expensive initial outlay but a long term saving.
Tree to pee is something us blokes take for granted. 🌳😀

@@CampervanTales right now, my only expense is kitty litter, heavy duty (doody💩) bags and tp. But I would be lying if I told you that I wasn't interested in this little toilet setup. I was thinking if you don't use it to urinate in then a plastic 5 gallon bucket with one of those clip on toilet seat tops will do the same thing at a much lower cost. I have one and it works perfectly and is at a comfortable height.

I've just bought a boxio. V pleased with it, but currently planning on using it mainly for urine. (Always harder for women as you point out 😂)
But on that, surely it's not ok to be putting human waste in general litter bins while travelling? Someone has to empty them, and i suspect the local authorities in the areas you're staying wouldn't be happ...
I'd been planning on taking it home if i'd had to use it and prob burying in the garden.

We get what you are saying, but looking at it another way, initially expensive but what it saves us on buying chemicals, having to visit a site and pay for emptying out, sometimes we have been charged a tenner to do that, plus not carrying the weight of a loaded chemical toilet saves a little on fuel, eventually it pays for itself. We are tight Northerners too😀

    Hello Troops 🙋‍♂️.
Hope you are both in fine fettle !!
    A bit behind here 🥵…
    Frid’s Vid 22/03.
That 🐔 curry 🍛 looked 👀 fan dabby sumptuous !! My problem when I make these - I can’t stop ✋ at the chicken 🐓 stage and call it a meal 🥘 - I start to add
prawns 🍤, sultana’s ect etc and before I know it - the dish is overloaded !! Will definitely give it a go !!
    Sun Vid 23/03.
I think 🤔 your were at Birmingham NEC ??
I been there a few times at the ⛺️ camper-van
and caravan shows. They are fun to go around
at look 👀 at all the new models and latest
    design innovations.
I went to the; Truck and Van 🚐 show there as well. Was thinking 🤔 about a self-build a while back. If you get
a chance to get there - go !! I am sure it’s free to get in. The freebies are amazing. I had
a full stomach and full backpack 🎒 with the
    free gear and food !!
The EXPO one you were at 👀 looked a decent
day out - and, you looked like you had room to walk around for a nose 👃 at everything !!
I thought when I seen the climbing 🧗‍♀️ wall
Keith would have been 😤🚶‍♂️pushing all the 👧 kids out of the way to get to the front of the Q !! Sounds like you need more lubrication for the knees (Sudocrem) that’s what I use !
That little coffee ☕️ machine you looked at looks - the dogs 🐕 🔩🥜 dangly bits - it’s only a £100.00 Squid. Good value. I like the new INEOS - yes, if only….💷💷💷…
Your update on your 💩🚽 !!
You both were holding and stroking it
like it was your old granny’s 👵 🪦 ashes.
If I were in the market and in need of one
I would definitely give it some thought.
I totally 💯 agree that men have a better
deal when it comes to using the 🚽.
To be honest with you - I now and again have
a “wee wee” in mine - when out on the road,
but - never 👎 use mine to 💩 in !!
I normally just stop ✋ at a garage,
supermarket, or motorway 🛣 ST and
use theirs !! If you plan your stops well
enough you can get free showers 🚿
at these places as well !! The three Sss
    Shower 🚿, 💩, and 🧴shampoo !!
    Your old 🚽 - I think 🤔 you already
know that you can get small dry packets
of chemicals 🧪 that you just drop into
the loo 🚽 - I know someone who uses
this and the pack dissolve as soon as 💦
is added - it also eats the 🧻 very quickly.
Saves all the malarkey of flapping around
with plastic drums of chemicals in your van !
Hope you are looking forward to the 🐣 EW
and have some thoughts about heading
out for a few days in your camper 🚐 !!
    Thanks 🙏
Mind how you go and stay safe 🫶
    James ✌️

Hello James. We always look forward to hearing from you with your take on our videos.
Firstly the curry was very tasty. When we are home we constantly add more than we need to.
Yes we were at the NEC and it was a good show. Not as busy as the motorhome and camping shows but it did make it easier to walk around and get to see things.
Keith was very restrained when it came to the climbing wall 😆
The GOPRESSO is a clever bit of kit that will work well for campers and van owners. We are going to be brand ambassadors for them in the next few months.
The Ineos is lovely and if we win the lottery it would be hifh on the list. Certainly wouldn't be buying the new so called Defender.
As for t'loo, it is a good addition but like you we tend to hold it in and find a coffee shop to leave a deposit 😆 We usually find somewhere decent for a shower.
As for the Easter weekend. We are going up to the static as we need to use it more, plus Keith is working on Friday.
Where are you based? We need to meet up for coffee at some point if that's something you fancy?
