After talking in the last videos about gear for winter and how to prepare your EUC for the cold weather, in this video we’re going to focus on how to change your riding style and the changes in the environment that influence your ride! We are gonna look at topics such as breaking distance, surfaces, other road users, alternatives and many more!

Well, congrats on doing this series. It's important to summarize the importance of taking the time to ride in those conditions. I do not ride when raining. Because I want to see the surface of the streets, or wherever I am riding in, and water doesn't allow me to do so, hiding the most dangerous potholes you can imagine. However, riding with ice on your surroundings is a very good thing to point out the reflexion side of things, because riding in a single wheel, you really have to take care on that particular sign of the conditions of the streets.... 🤘
What I really like about the euc s in the big cities is how easy it is to use them on whatever public transportation you need to use them for. They can always be at our side! Keep going, Kate!

Really digging the idea of rephrasing winter riding as challenge/hard mode to see how much one can manage. Makes it way more engaging to think of, than just "normal riding but its cold, windy and annoying".

Great series on winter riding! I had my first fall yesterday, ironically just hours before watching this video, because I overleaned turning on a bike path. It was a cold morning and the path was wet and slippery. I was also on a street tire that is not meant for colder temperatures. I'll be more careful going forward.
I hope you are doing alright! Wet and slippery conditions are in my eyes some of the most dangerous, because you don’t think that much about it unlike with snow and ice.

One thing that could also help is to lower the pressure in the tire to have better grip. Nice video 🙂

This series is very useful for a euc newbie like me, thanks! I practice riding in closed spaces for about a month now, but still don't feel confident enough to try to ride on snowy and icy surfaces. Maybe I'll have more courage next year :D LBut for now i just patiently wait for the spring and summer
I’m glad it was helpful! It’s definitely a good idea to wait for the spring/summer :) starting to ride in the winter is definitely super challenging!
@@monocat.1011 aand its definitely what i done recently xD my situation turned that way im just had either wait half-year or try my first rides on snow. and surprisingly it even wasnt really super hard :D and now im starting riding almost every day :D
I bought that same helmet, (same color too, coz they didnt have orange) at the start of winter and i must say im not too happy with it, its been constantly fogging up my glasses this winter and has not as much sideview as im used to on my Fox Proframe.
I say maybe i should have gone with the long faced Predator instead, I even offered to buy that oneoff Mr Wrongway coz he said he didnt like it in one of his videos lol
For the price that the TSG is being sold for I’m also not very happy with it. I’ll make a review about my experience with it soon but it seems to be quite similar with yours

Awesome Winter Tips!
I am curious what you think… Do you bother to remove salt from the EUC after your rides, or is the risk minimal compared to water ingress?

I try to remove salt every once in a while when the build up is getting visible. With a S22 you definitely want to make sure to keep your suspension clean from salt :)

Hey, check if your link is working Kate :D. Just kidding. I am riding when is no (or minimal) chance of black (or any) Ice outside. Drifting with one wheel is not working well...
Despite popular belief, it’s actually quite easy to check if the link is working :P
Slipping on one wheel is definitely very scary, also when snow turns to slush!

Scooters are trash! Can’t ride in the winter or carry two coffees!
scooters are better in winter, you can drift easilly :D
Still trash, I wish I was free to do stuff with my hands 😅
