    tip yall when ur making it when u add the first bit of starch keep the heat on medium and cook until its sticky then remove add starch and kneed because that will give u a nicer dough to work with and u don't need to let it rest for 15 min, and u cok just puree the mango in a blender then add it to the pan and cook, the rest is the same

    your dough seems like oobleck. you should actually add in the rest of the starch when the dough is still hot. once the dough cools down, it hardens which is why your dough looked quite like oobleck. it should feel like playdough !!

      I tried making it and the dough is far too sticky. I see it's a little sticky in your video but mine sticks to eveything it touches if it doesn't have starch covering it. Did i not leave it long enough on the stove? Should I add more flour? Pls help

      @@carlavela1836 add more flour I remember that happened to me when I tried to make strawberry boba add more flour but remember it should feel sticky but also a bit hard so you can start kneading it

      @@carlavela1836 Did you form a sticky paste at the beginning before adding in the rest? I'd advise to knead the dough and add in more tapioca starch if it is sticky!

      @@VancouverFoodie Yes I did make the sticky paste. I kept adding flour and they're able to hold the shape so I am now going to boil the boba and see what happens :)

      I once used corn starch it became like a little boba ball but it didn’t take like boba the texture was a bit thicker too just to let you know

      um you can make it with cornstarch but it won’t taste as good, so I recommend using tapioca starch. You can find it at your h-mart or a Asian market. Or online.

      you can if you want but the texture will be different make sure to visit exotic stores like asain markets indian markets or international markets to see if they have any tapioca starch

      I just searched it up and it says 'It has a much stronger thickening capacity than tapioca flour, so you need to cut the amount in your recipe by about half.'

    I looked up a substitute for tapioca starch so I didn’t have to go and buy it and you can use cornstarch as a substitute so I’m gonna try this tomorrow but with a different fruit

      the usual ratio is 1:1 for white granulated sugar and hot water when making drinks, but for the use of the boba i would do 0.5:1.
      Ex. melt 1/2 cup of sugar in 1/2 cup hot water then cool it down with 1/2 cold water (as you definitely want it cooler when putting the boba in

      melt some sugar with hot water to melt it and add cold water to cover the pearls. to help prevent the pearls from sticking to each other

      well you could but the boba will not be as good as with tapioca starch since te tapioca starch is for making it chewy but cornstarch is for making it thick so it's optional but i DO NOT recommend cornstarch

    quick question, once u put the boba in the boiling water, do u keep it on high heat for those 20 minutes? or do u switch to low heat/medium heat?

      Cook for medium high, but ensure it's continuously on a rolling boil to prevent them from sticking together. And then cover for another 20 with the heat off covered.

      dissolve a bit of sugar with a bit of hot water. then add in some cold water to cool the temp down. Then put your finished pearls in to prevent them from sticking together and maintain the sweetness.

      She replied to someones comment and she said you can ys corn starch but just use half the amount u would use of the tapioca because corn starch is a bit "stronger". Hope that helps :)

    It was stupid. Make simple puree and add sugar and starch then boil it. And make mango shake..and boba in shake. This was nothing but raw milk...
