Truly!! I’m planning to take videos of his food forest throughout the years to capture its evolution and his takeaways, i think it’ll be very magical to see 🪄
If you ever decide you want to start a community like this I will join. Seriously I think there are lots of us who want this, want to contribute and have this simple type of love. I think it's more possible than we all think, we just have to start unlearning the systems we have been brought up to rely on and jump into something new. We need to believe in ourselves and community. Anyone else also want this so deeply? Thanks for this video
Yes!!! This goal is literally the one thing I’m saving up for ! It would be so magical to have a physical space in nature I could share with everyone , extending our community beyond the digital realm!
Shout out to John for not evicting the wasps from the farm! It's quite refreshing to see that his love for nature extends to creatures that humans usually find off-putting. They'll likely be repaying his kindness by keeping some of the crop eating insects controlled :3
When John said that the reason for him doing all this work was fear I teared up a little, because I share this fear, not only in regard to our food systems but to an uncertain future in general. Seeing him turning that fear into motivation to create such a lovely place is really inspiring! Thank you for sharing this! :)
Same here! Today I felt a bit emotional (and grumpy) as soon as I woke up. Did my morning yoga practice and watched this while having breakfast and journaling. I started crying when John explained why he is doing all this work. His words resonated so much. Made me feel less alone. Understood in the cause of fighting and hoping for a more sustainable food system. Thanks Leah for documenting and sharing all of this. While I'm liking my chapter in the busy urban Brussels, I've also been missing living in the community I was in before, where I was so close to different Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) initiatives. Your video was like a soft balm on this gloomy day soothing the nostalgia in me. ❤
Watching this after receiving a rejection letter from my dream uni (Oxford). This video has made me realise that life is just as much about enjoying life and the lighter moments, and that I shouldn't pin so much self-worth/happiness on getting into an institution. Thank you, Leah, for helping to make me feel a little less heartbroken, and a little more hopeful about what the future has in store for me♥
Aww I’m sending u a big hug! I always remember that “rejection is protection” the universes way of saying there’s something better for u! One of the guys who started the market farm actually graduated from there and decided to do this instead haha
Unfortunately to hear about your rejection. But it will be fine tho! You tried your best and you can try again next year. You are now where you need to be in life, no rush. Good luck!❤️
This series has been one of my favourite things to watch, ever. I spent two months this summer working at a guesthouse in rural Croatia, doing a lot of the things that Heidi's stepdad talks about in the tour and it was the best thing I ever did. He is SO knowledgeable and passionate and it's so beautiful to watch. He reminds me of my dad in a lot of ways, and I found myself getting really emotional as he spoke about the berries shared with blackbirds and the composting system he's developed. Thank you for sharing this journey/part of your life with all of us < 3
Leah, I've been watching your videos for past 4 years and this must be my favorite one. The editing is beautiful and the content so soft, it made me feel at peace and I swear it even reduced my period cramps.
Awwwwwwww what a huge compliment! So glad it also helped w your period cramps haha make sure to only drink hot/warm beverages/foods esp on ur period! It helped reduce my cramps almost completely
I would legit watch a whole documentary series about the forest garden narrated by John, it was so calming and interesting☺it was giving david attenborough
This is the life I truly yearn for, friendship, love, being one with nature, farming, and animals. I hope someday when I'm a little older I will experience this life, right now I feel so scared to become an 'adult' 🌲🌷🌿🍃🌱🌻🍀
THIS IS REAL INFLUENCE! I felt so alive after watching this video. Thank you, Leah, for showing us this side of the world. I am reminded that there are still kind and generous people. (and i lich rali cried like a baby when this video ended lol) SENDING LOVE TO EVERYONE 💗💗💗💗
This is the John appreciation thread, amazing, wholesome, icon, absolute legend, gave me my serotonin for the day and motivation to do my gardening. We love John.
I dont even know how to describe it but i love your videos dearly. Everything is raw yet so lyrical and picturesque. Your videos feel like a cozy indie video game, and we're just following along in all the little side quests you're completing. :) the english countryside is especially beautiful to see, and heidi's family seem like such lovely people, love danna's appearance as well 💞💞
“ we have to produce food in a more sustainable way.” SO TRUE. this is so important for everyone to hear. just hearing John talk about this topic is hopefully planting a seed in everyone’s heads :) no pun intended 🌱💕
I'm English and have been busy with life recently. Your videos make me appreciate the countryside and make me nostalgic. 🥺 My grandparents and I would always go on walks through the forests. It's nice to watch your videos when the day has been tiresome. Thanks so much! ☀️🌸
this video made me so happy I shed a few tears, and felt the serotonin in my body.. this kind of slow life and type of love, of returning to Nature is so inspiring and I'd love to do this in the future :) thank you for your warmth Leah
I started working on an organic Farm this year which focuses on solidaric food sharing and farming, and it has changed my life and love for this world so much. Just the pure acceptance of the seed being planted into dark soil and us honoring its service by caring for its health and growth is so abundant. When i come home with arms full of veggies that i helped grow, my heart is ready to pour over from all the joy this wonderful world has to offer. So keep digging, get your hands dirty and your soul clean, share wisely with the birds and give compassionetly. Thank you for your ongoing light in this world, Love you, greetings from the German Countryside ♥️
I really loved Heidi's stepdad talk. It was truly inspiring and as our food system is becoming more and more unstustainable, I think sharing this kind of content can help some people reviewing their food intake and the waste and recycling processes! Loved it, thanx for sharing 🖤
I'm obsessed with this video. This is exactly the content I want to see, especially the dad talking about the garden! Thank you so much for sharing this with us Leah
I just want to say that I started to watch your videos almost 2 years ago now, and I always felt better and more inspired after each of them. I also begin to realize how important it is to appreciate little things in everyday life and be in connection to nature more. I love your videos and the direction you are going, so I hope you find great happiness in creating them and sharing them with us :))
Leah, this is by far my most favorite series on the internet and I honestly teared up while watching this video. Thank you for being such a wonderful person and sharing these experiences with us. Sending lots of love!
ive been refreshing your page for weeks looking forward to a new video! I discovered you at a real low time in my life, when i was so overwhelmed with a feeling like i needed to keep up with everyones successes that i saw on social media etc. your videos have given me so much clarity. the sun on your face stroking a cat, laughing, crying, sharing knowledge, eating delicious food, contributing to our environment, swimming in lakes, appreciating where you are and being ok with feeling a little out out of your depths at times. thank you for sharing your life and real raw thoughts with us (your sleepover chats especially)! ill be eternally grateful xxxx ps im from the Scottish countryside, and this video gave me so much nostalgia and appreciation for where im from and the people i know. i could listen to Heidi's step father/anyone talk about things their passionate about, for hours.
The amount of growth and transformation I have seen is beautiful! While you were cooking I got a flash back of when you use to cook in Montreal and really realized this! Insanely happy for you and grateful for the lessons you have taught and the new knowledge you continue to share to us as you’re learning!
This series is like the best thing I've ever watched. I love everyone sm. I'm starting to tear up coz I'll miss this and hopefully we'll be able to see you there and everyone again in your vlogs soon.

This was so nice to watch on a cozy Thanksgiving weekend 🦃🥰 I’m sad we won’t see more of the beautiful English countryside🌿, but I’m also so excited to see where your next adventure will be, Leah! 😆✨
Watching you adventure the world these past few months is helping me realize how there are so many beautiful ways to live your life, these are lessons I want to take on in the new year! I’m so glad to see you having fun :)
i've just written an essay on food security for the UK (and the world) and I'm full of fear too! It seems to be following me around, everywhere I look there's more information. John seems like a lovely man who understand the threat we are facing. I wish I had a John to learn from. So I'm becoming my own John!!
Frying chicken wings after just talking about the neighbours chicken is just 😂😂😂😂👌🏻 anyways this is really the most lovely and genuine video I've seen this week made me want to try it as well 🥺♥️
Wha I love this so much, I’m from the countryside and I moved to Montreal for my studies and I miss nature so much! I try to volunteer for the sustainable department at my school, but it’s not the same, what Leah lived is honestly the dream 😌
Leah, you give me so much inspiration to live more freely and appreciate all we are granted in life. I love your editing style!! May I ask why type of digital camera you used at the beginning of the video? your videos always seems to make me at peace even if I'm super stressed out so thankyou. I'm wishing you a lovely winter filled with more exploring :)
Her videos are always so insightful. Thanks Leah for putting in so much effort in capturing the essence of this beautiful world. Wish someday I could live like this too.
I wasn't actually expecting him to answer fear as to why John created his forest garden. I cannot agree more about what he said regarding our food production being unsustainable. I can see grocery stores being emptied and not restocked for months. Local food shops are closing too which saddens me a lot. If I have a pot of land, I will definitely do the same. Thank you for sharing your vlogs.
This video just made me feel so warm, I aspire to live a slow life like this one day with people to hold each other , thank you so much for sharing these beautiful moments with us leah, love you sm ✨🌻❤
As someone who just lived and worked on an organic veg farm this video filled me up and reminded me why I did it in the first place, very beautiful video thanks for sharing :)
Stop and think about yourself one or two years ago when you were feeling lost and sad... It's crazy what these difficulties brought into your life, it's so beautiful
thank you much so sharing leah!!! i’ve been slowly coming out of my land of the lost feels (confused on my life path upon graduating college/realizing i have control of my life lol) and am now preparing for my own nomadic journey and i would love to see an updated video or segment on how ur capsule wardrobe has been working for you? you are truly love + wonder embodied
Really enjoyed this video, glad you have found somewhere (and some people) where you can feel slow, peaceful and connected. Thanks for sharing with us 🥰
I always look forward to your videos like they capture such sweet and warm moments so beautifully. Rather than me being envious, I think your videos make me feel inspired and hopeful that I might be able to do these things in the future. Thank you Leah, keep going!
I've watched you for years and to see you visit Lulworth which is so close to where I lie is honestly mind blowing to me! Hope you're enjoying it here, it's honestly a beautiful place!
This was try beautiful, thanks for bringing us along and letting us look into a world that I have always imagined for myself but never knew could exist in such a way!
I could have watched Heidi's stepdad talk about his forest garden for an eternity, he's so passionate about it and it's so inspiring!
