- It's decision time in Group B. With one pre tournament favorite knocked out in Group A (Kev), we will be watching closely to see (the other pre-tournament favorite) if his Team England teammate can mange to make it out of Group B. @ Tom, in similar conditions a few years ago I switched to a pink Ned worm. Smashed all my pbs that day for pile and chub.

Thom I’d use a big hard plastic like a salmo slider or a big soft plastic

Another intersecting episode even if there weren't a lot of fish. Top tip to the angler's sponsors. Make some light coloured shirts. Black isn't the best colour for a hot bright day.

If i was Tom, i would definitely fish Finesse techniques. Sometimes classical "Winter" methods Like Carolina rig or Kickback Work best Ford lazy perch or Zander...

I'm just a novice angler, but at 26:07 fish on the grass, landing mat on the belt. If we see this kind of fish care from the "experts" then what do we expect from the occasional anglers ? Also a bit sad that the organizer didn't postpone this on a cooler day.
There's always one..it's on grass so not really causing the fish any injuries
What wrong with fresh grass? Do you think plastic mat is better?? Common sense wanted!!!
You don't know what's in the grass... Maybe some pointed twigs, maybe some sharp rocks. Why not avoid any risks and use the mat. It should be part of the routine in my opinion.
This is getting out of control, if you are so overprotective of fish stop fishing it's better for them not to be hooked and out of the water at all. Grass is fine, relax
