I was working in a gun store in 2008 & customers were literally lined up around the corner waiting on us to open in the mornings because everyone just KNEW the Democrats were going to outlaw guns ...we literally couldn't keep the shelves stocked as frightened people frantically bought everything they could get their hands on.... & what happened??? During his 8 years in Office President Obama signed exactly two Bills into law impacting gun ownership & they both INCREASED gun owners rights ..... So knock off the fear mongering....
Purely out of personal choice I apparently don't fit into the categories listed. There's no plastic guns here. No striker fire or magazine fed autoloaders. Just single and double action revolvers. Pistol caliber leverguns and a side by side shotgun. My pre-election purchase was a new Single Action Army in 45 Colt. Reckon I just don't qualify as "trendy" by today's society. 😏
@@deuceandguns Yup, I do just fine with mostly 19th century technology. 😁 But your points in this video are very valid, especially for more contemporary folks. Good work. 👍
I favor "the steel wheel" as well, typically carrying one on my hip more than anything else (I do usually have a Kel-Tec P32 in a pocket as well). My go-to long gun is a Winchester lever in .30-30, despite owning both an AR-type and an AK-type. My bedside handgun is a Ruger Police Service Six that was once my dad's duty sidearm. Next to it is a Smith and Wesson Model 67-1 that duplicates my first agency-issued sidearm. So, yeah, I'd say I'm pretty much with you here.
@@Just1American1966 Well now. Did 30 years "on the job" as they say myself. Third generation peace officer in fact. On the street it was a 4" S&W mod 28 357mag. In CID it was a 4" stainless steel Ruger Police Service Six. Your dad had good taste! 👍 Small world huh? 😉
Nothing wrong with the wheel guns or levers. I keep a Security Six, Rossi R92, Henry 22lr lever and a 20 gauge coach gun on hand. They were my get home from Kalifornistan guns.
I really enjoy my 9mm HiPoint carbine. Is it pretty? Well, no. Will it shoot? Absolutely. It's kinda like when you wished you could take the homecoming queen to the prom... But wound up with your best friend's cousin...and it was the best night you ever had... Especially when the stick didn't turn blue😊
Prices aren't jumping because of the betting odds this time around so a lot of this stuff is still about as cheap as it's going to get outside of liquidation sales. If people had enough money for groceries that would be great news!
The Keltec P17 22lr is around $200 with 3 16 round mags. Better sights and trigger than a G series. Tisas, PSA Daggers or BCA Grizzly for cheap center fire pistols. Nothing wrong with the Glock LEO trade ins. Barrels are about $100. Not a Taurus fan. You can get a new 10-22 for around $200. A takedown is $400. $400-450 for a Gen 3 Keltec Sub2k. Only 4.25 lbs. I am an old guy so I voted early in case I didn't make it to election day.
@@deuceandguns Deuce, I got it last month at Sportsman’s Warehouse. Be aware that it came with a basic synthetic stock and was “optics ready” so no sights. I still couldn’t resist one at that price. I see they still have it for $219. Like your channel.
Winchester Wildcat has too many delicate plastic parts that can break. The Kel-Tec 2000 has a fold up barrel and if you somehow mess that up so if it doesn't line up properly when folded down you are screwed. I went with the Ruger PCC.
Overall a good list- I’d probably go with a CZ or Canik for an inexpensive handgun over a Taurus I usually go for used guns from a trusted FFL who backs what they sell and get a better gun for a better price that usually is already broken in or as often as not never shot more than a range trip, if at all.
Lots of standard capacity Glock magazines. I have seen lots of deer get dead at the hands of a 300 BO. It is the AR version of the 30-30. My 450 BO upper killed a deer too dead (meat damage) so it is now a range toy.
I am glad you specified about the 350 legend. And ya know what I agree with you. Honestly I never would have even considered picking up a firearm chambered in 350 legend. Because I have a Marlin 336 chambered in 35 Remington. And for decades that rifle and chambering served many hunters in Michigan quite well. All the way up until the straight wall cartridge rule was introduced. And to be completely honest that rule in its self is complete nonsense. Seriously if anyone thinks I’m wrong about the stupidity with the rule. Take a few minutes and look into it for yourself and I promise you that you will agree with me.
New to your channel, cheap/inexpensive may not be worth the cost savings. Been there done that. The results as expected accuracy and reliability have a relationship to cost. I stay away from companies that have a spotty record: Century (they even include a disclaimer saying to have their weapons certified by a gunsmith because all they do is assemble) I also stay away from receivers used by reputable MFG’s (Hesse, B-west and Century) You covered all the standards in 3 gun and put in some extras. Sorta a mix of function/caliber 👍 Thinking
You forgot the Ruger AR15 which is actually slightly cheaper than the S&W version and it is a good one. With the CMMG conversion bolt for 22LR I can shoot 22LR through the Ruger AR15. As for uppers I would look at 8.6 BO myself.
I didn't know they had started selling it. I still have a case of Wolf 6.5 grendel but I'll pick up some from PSA. I hope it's more accurate than the junk I got from Wolf.
It's been an exceptionally rough year, so I won't be making a purchases. Otherwise, this list would come in handy! I have really looked into the 10/22, and it seems the QC has declined even as the prices rose. I've read enough complaints that even if moneys were not objects, I'd still rather get another brand.
Suggestion: Look for a used 10/22. The quality is high and the prices - not so much. I have 3 10/22's; one from '88, one from '79, and one from '66. I didn't pay over $240 for any of them.
I've not had the opportunity to test one personally so I can't say. The price is about the same as a KelTec Sub2000 but it's in a more AR like form factor which puts it in the lead in that price point.
Thanks for the info. Looks like they've upgraded it from sport 2 to a sport 3. Still reasonably priced but on the upper end of what I'd consider a budget AR.
The most important lesson anyone could take from this video is be careful who you take advice from. There is so much wrong with this video. Probably the worst is the idea that you should buy a gun solely based on the fear that it may be banned. That is a ridiculous waste of money and a goofy reason to buy a different gun than you might otherwise buy. Please don’t listen to this knucklehead.
Guns to buy before the election? What planet are you on??? My wife and I are thrilled that we will just be able to buy groceries before the election, so buying guns is probably not a thing for us - or millions and millions of Americans.
