Wow! Truly an amazing experience to see how it all comes together. Thank you Rob for taking the time to make AND share this video. It's cool to see "how the sausage is made". EVERYTHING from the restoration process and now this motor installation was done with quality workmanship and attention to details, but I have to say it LOOKS very very very good too! The continuous length power cables was another wonderful decision to avoid future troubleshooting. The completed job should give you FULL CONFIDENCE to ride out and focus on fishing and family fun. Great job all around. (9:30)when he gave it full throttle - it planed off pretty fast. Oh Man! That's one serious boat you have there. I'm excited and happy for you and the family. Suzuki is the best out there IMHO. Owned a DF225 for 10 years now. Still going strong knock on wood. Just keep up with maintenance and you'll be golden.... Good luck, Rob!
A great boat. I wanted something like that. And when I went with my wife and 5 year old son. My son said ...But dad...where can I sit. Shit...That was it...Ended up with a Grady White 208 Adventure....Now he's 19! Man time goes by so fast! Cherish your babies folks!

I live in Oklahoma, so I had my Suzy installed here. However, if I lived down there, Outboard Specialties would be where I would have gone. I have already bought parts from them, and the customer service is outstanding!!

deer, I just love boats. Been around them all me 69 years, in me blood. I have my Dad’s 1953 14’ DuraCraft that’s hauled so many fish from lakes, rivers, ponds, estuaries, swamps and various waters, oh me. One canoe. My 18.5’ SeaRay 125 hp Mercury. That’s the one I want to redo a bit. It’s great, but could use a deep wax and touch up. I in GA, so I check them old boys out down there.

Outboard specialties is great to deal with. I drove 12 hours from Alabama to get my new engine from those guys. They came in on a offday to meet me so i could get my engine. When i got home i had picked up the wrong controls, made a phone call to them and had the right parts in 2 days. I wont ever buy a boat motor form anywhere else.

Hey, i can vouch for Suzuki's. i have a 1992 40hp Suzuki that i work like a rented mule. I was prepared to by a new motor when i brought my boat. I gave her a compression test and tuneup with a new prop and its at least as good as some newer motors. never had an issue outside of water in my fuel tank, simple fix and nothing to do with the motor.
Follow your maintenece and she will likely out last your boat.

It needs a jack plate, trimmed up, 300 hp that boat should be throwing up some kind of rooster tail! Their is more speed in that engine! No rooster tail at all! 😒☹️
