Dixie and Cranky sound like Conker Characters. Dixie sounds like the puppet girl boss near the end of It's War, and Cranky sounds like the Pitchfork lmaoo
At least Ocarina of Time Ganondorf does a great job at voicing DK. I hate Dixie’s voice in this game. She sounds like a character from Conker’s Bad Fur Day.
Everybody except DK and Diddy sound like Conker’s BFD characters, most likely b/c Chris Seavor voiced everyone except for DK (Grant Kirkhope) and Diddy (Chris Sutherland). K. Rool sounds like Wizpig from Diddy Kong Racing, who was also voiced by Seavor.
Steven Wright actually Dixie has the same voice as the demonic Little Girl from Conker’s Bad Fur Day, while Dixie has the same voice as Banjo & Kazooie!
The voices of the Donkey Kong characters in the cancelled Diddy Kong Pilot sound surprisingly good. Donkey Kong sounds like he's ready for action. This is what I'd imagine if Rare and Nintendo made a Donkey Kong game that had full voice acting where the characters would speak full sentences.
Cranky sounds like the talking pitchfork from conkers bad fur day and Dixie sounds like the girl that was attached to that giant teddy that had weapons from Conkers bad fur day (to me)
Donkey Kong sounds just about right (of course I wouldn’t expect less from Grant freaking Kirkhope himself!) Funky Kong reminds me of Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Diddy sounds like he did in DK64: very Mickey Mouse-like minus the “oh boy” and laughs Dixie Kong sounds like the girl puppet part of that Secret Weapon from Conker’s Bad Fur Day Cranky Kong is also Franky the Pitchfork from Bad Fur Day Klump sounds kinda like what he did in cartoon; but much higher pitched Kritter sounds like Banjo minus that southern drawl & the guh-huhs Klaptrap sounds just like how he did in the cartoon King K. Rool sounds COMPLETELY off. I was at least expecting Chris Seavor’s interpretation of him from 64, or the Jim Cummings-esque iteration of him from the cartoon.
I found this page through the Mario Wiki. I didn't know that there was full voice acting for everyone in this build of the game. Dixie is the only one who I feel sounds off. Nothing wrong with a British accent, as this is made by Rare, but a bit more of a high pitch would be welcome. Kritter sounds like Banjo; I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Sutherland was the voice. Very cool!
Donkey Kong sounds like well, Donkey Kong Funky Kong sounds like Mikey from Tmnt 2007 Diddy Kong sounds like Mickey Mouse for some reason Dixie Kong sounds like a high pitched Peppa Pig with something in her throat Cranky Kong sounds like somebody with a country accent trying to sound like a old person King K. Rool sounds like Filthy Frank
Dixie is that boss from Conker's Bad Fur Day, the swearing Exorcist hand-puppet chipmunk who controls The Experiment. I guess Dixie was just the prototype experiment.
I can seriously listen to DK's voice all day! Grant Kirkhope was the perfect voice for Donkey Kong in my opinion. He's exactly what i envision when I think of Donkey Kong and showcases DK's laid back and badass personality perfectly. Diddy's voice is pretty good too and Cranky's ain't bad either. Dixie definitely needs a better voice though.
They should of got the tv show cast to do the voices, Aron tager's Cranky voice fits him more than the one here, Klaptrap almost sounds like Junior the giant Klaptrap though I doubt it's the same actor.
Overall, like these a lot, though some are not quite right. It makes me miss the time when the DK cast were treated as slightly more human and relatable than they are now. My two cents... DK is a speaking version of the DK64 voice, which is exactly what I'd want from him, some lines could use more energy but generally this captures my ideal DK. He sounds cool and tough, but friendly and goofy along with it. Funky also nails the personality, he's unmistakably a laidback surfer dude. The DKC cartoon makes me prefer the Jamaican accent, but he could just as easily sound Californian, and for that direction you can't go wrong with this. Diddy's the same as DK, a clean translation of the DK64 voice into a speaking role. The lines portray his cocky attitude nicely. Dixie's voice does nothing for me. The lines are good, and the accent does a good job of setting her apart, but the voice itself is too throaty and squeaky for me. A slightly deeper, much smoother voice would fix basically everything. Cranky has a little of what you'd expect from him but he's still pretty far off. Most of the lines are too friendly and he could use a deeper, more gravelly voice in line with the cartoon, to stay consistent with his character as the grouchy old curmudgeon. Klump is basically perfect, he sounds rough, militaristic, and is a bit condescending like you'd imagine for an evil general. Not much to say. Kritter's voice comes across as random to me. He sounds funny, but completely nonthreatening, even for a minor foot soldier. I think something more like Krunch, or a hissing cartoon snake voice would fit better. Klaptrap is another perfect one for me, he sounds childish and crazy, which is good for a small crocodile that runs around biting everything in sight. K. Rool's voice is gruff enough, and he sounds suitably angry, but not nearly deep enough and too American when he's portrayed like a British king. Sticking to the DK64 voice like DK and Diddy would've been the way to go with this one.
I dont like Dixie voice honestly She sound weird, i prefer her voice in DKC trophical Frezze And in the Cartoons same with Cranky, but i loved DK and Diddy voices here ❤ i like Funky Kong voice here but i prefer the one he had in the cartoon :)
@@KamyAnai03 You're right. This game's voices didn't nail everything, but mostly they did good. A mix of these voices and the cartoon ones would be ideal.
(bad english warning) Wow, so impressive that those voice clips were new with full speaking rather mere grunting, even the damn klaptrap spoke!! That was portraying by Grant Kirkhope and Chris Sutherland that no much people know that's a thing.
Wait a second. That Dixie Kong sound like familiar voice that used for little girl with giant teddy bear boss from Conker's Bad Fur Days. Even some character sound like other characters of Conker Bad Furs Day character too.
I only just found out this was a thing, man this is bizarre to hear full voice acting from DK characters in the games. I'm gonna be honest I'm really not a fan of most of these voices, lol; they may have brought back the DK64 actors but they sound *weird* here in my opinion. I do find it funny that Klaptrap sounds like Eric Cartman though
why does dixie's voice kinda remind me of baby peach's voice in mario kart wii also this would've been her first racing game (same with the characters that aren't donkey or diddy) had this not been converted to banjo pilot
1:12 - "Pravisley" - Did he say "precisely" I hear him like he mispronounced it. 1:35 - "That's my ass!" Chris Seavor voicing Dixie with a voice modifier is definitely a mood
He voiced that creepy doll thing from bad fur Day and he also did the pitchfork
@@GGYTTHEYT Don't forget Gruntilda from Banjo-Kazooie
@VanilluxeProductions how could I forget, that acting was 🔥🔥
Dixie and Cranky sound like Conker Characters. Dixie sounds like the puppet girl boss near the end of It's War, and Cranky sounds like the Pitchfork lmaoo
Cranky sounds like he was voiced by Chris "Conker Himself" Seaver doing one of his Conker's Bad Fur Day voices.
SimplyRenirambus I noticed too since Cranky sounds like Franky from Conker’s Bad Fur Day, one of the many characters voiced by designer Chris Seavor!
SimplyRenirambus franky the pitchfork from Conker’s bfd to be more specific
I love DK's "Waheeey!". XD God, I miss Grant Kirkhope as DK...

Chris Seavor didn't voice K. Rool in DK64, it was Chris Sutherland. RareWare had so many Chris' working there back in the day lmao

I can't believe I never knew these existed. It sucks that this iteration of the game was cancelled due to Microsoft's purchase of Rare.
This would've been the only time where the Donkey Kong characters talk outside of the cartoons
Anyone else noticed that this has the same selection of playable kongs as Tropical Freeze?
I feel like this game is going to be connected with the DKC cartoon which did explain why the characters are spoken in full sentences
I think originally this game was going to be connected with the Donkey Kong Country TV show and that's why the Kongs and kremlings speak English
Of course they're originally going to speak full sentences after Donkey Kong Country cartoon.
