The Bear!!! I'm about to turn 32 this yr and I was to young to be able to appreciate the Don. But I will always redirect and be in awe of his accomplishments. Viva El Paso!!
I grew up in El Paso and I like Haskins said i tell people there was no racism here. I tell the young people that back in the day blacks were integrated into our society that they sometimes were more famous than any other race. I point to the #1 singer: Michael Jackson, the #1 comedian: Eddie Murphy, the #1TV show: The Cosby Show and on and on.
There is a street and a gym named Don Haskins here at El Paso. He is a true NCAA legend.
Greatest coach of all time.
You are admirable, I love your genius and your humanity.. kisses
