You simply put the game on "simulation" and it does not feel arcade. I play on "tour" and there's no spin. Also if you want real Sim, you turn the shot shaping on, and you have to swing the left stick diagonally to draw or fade the ball. The "arcade" settings are simply just like putting any game on easy. You have to make a decision to make it more realistic or make it unrealistic.

Only played a couple of rounds of EA, but I personally find it much more enjoyable than 2K. Even on medium difficulty settings in 2K, I was routinely scoring like -12 each round. At least in EA, I can only get like -3 to -4. I haven't played Augusta yet, but that's another win for EA. I hope we get courses like Oakmont and Pinehurst #2 as an update or DLC. They were in Tiger Woods 13 and 14. What would really set EA above 2K would be a mode similar to Legends Of The Majors in 14, where you have to recreate famous rounds throughout golf history as such icons as Bobby Jones, Hogan, Palmer, Nicklaus, and Ballesteros.
7:18 this is kind of the issue I have with either game. The lack of a full PGA field in either game significantly downgrades the realism of playing in a career. I understand there are limitations because of the way the PGA tour and its players aren’t like other pro sports leagues but the fact that there’s no overlap of players being in both games is disappointing and I don’t know if that is something that can change. It’s also disappointing that, there’s a split of real courses in each game so you can’t play a real tour schedule. Once again, I don’t know what goes into putting a game together with each course having its own identity. I imagine this split between the players and courses being likeEA and 2K each making an NFL license game but each of them has 16 teams and players and the other game has the other 16 teams. Plus, it doesn’t look like either game really provides realistic ambiance experience with the fans and presentation. It seems pretty hollow and doesn’t give it individual personality. It sounds like both games are looking at their games as a total money grab with all of the equipment and clothing been locked behind pay walls

It’s funny you say the tempo is gonna be more forgiving in EA, I’ve played roughly 15 hours and the tempo is hard as shit to get down. And the tempo does actually change depending on shot type, just not on any adjustments after. So adding backspin or draw/fade doesn’t effect tempo as far as I can tell. The game doesn’t feel arcady at allll, it’s more difficult than 2k for sure. And if competitive is locked to a difficulty like tour or simulation(it’ll probably be tour tbh), it won’t be arcady at all. The game only has arcady elements on the absolute lowest difficulty, which I doubt comp will be played on. This is a great video but a bit uninformed as Progressive hasn’t played it yet. EAs game is hard as shit lmao and personally feels much more simulation-esk than 2k. it will be crazy if PGA 2K also gets the licenses to all 4 majors or least to the 3 majors like the US Open, PGA Championship, and The Open! I don't think it will happen (extremely slim chance) since EA Sports says they are exclusive to them, especially with The Masters, but if PGA 2K can get at least the other majors by a miracle, in addition to having course designer, I think that PGA 2K will be the better game in the long run! either way, this is awesome there is a golf game rival now which will push both companies to deliver the best golf game they can make!! knock on wood, PGA 2K may drop something big on Friday in addition to having John Cena coming to the game on Friday, the worldwide launch day for EA PGA!! Just like how EA dropped their first teaser trailer on the launch day of PGA 2K23 back in Oct '22, I sure hope PGA 2K has something up their sleeve that no one will expect coming, but we shall see!! even if it's small like more playable characters like Shooter McGavin and Happy Gilmore, like that will stand out because it's a classic golf movie! and the actor of Shooter, Chris McDonald, has been advertising PGA 2K since 2020 so it's a perfect opporunity to add his fictional character in the game! like if PGA 2K only brings John Cena into the game as a playable character on EA PGA's worldwide launch day, that will be very disappointing for 2K...
BEST preview of the game and SOMEONE ELSE to call out 2K. I videoed all of the "Pro highlight" shots, and there were around 100 in 2K21, which end up repeating TO THE PIXEL. I.e., after 100 or so you start to see identical shots to the closest scrutiney, COVERED UP by them inserting a different Pro into the "cutscene". LOL. The ball takes the EXACT SAME path, starts and ends in the same place. EA Sports PGA Tour so far is SENSATIONAL (especially in 8K @60hz on my 4090, awe inspiring), i am only playing Quick Game, due to that mode giving u the chance to play alongside up to 3 x dynamic, organically playing CPU AI players. So 2K can stick there 2 x games up their xxxx, because they fooled ME into buying 2K21 by stating Pro CPU players are in the game. No they f**king well are not. Having no real CPU AI is pure lazyness in a sports game.

@@stevenspencer5979 its not even close to the same mechanics as 2k, very different. Extremely arcady, very bad cameras angles. The menu is an absolute headache to navigate. Its just do not expect this game to play or be like 2K it is no where close. To different universes.
@@TheReal_G Good. Stay with 2k. I sure as hell don't want you here if you actually are THIS dumb enough to think EA Golf is arcade based. Better not see you anywhere near the game.
@@TheReal_G do u know that u can customize all setting before criticizing? 🤣
2k is better way better!
have you played both? and what makes 2k better?
Not for me and I played a lot 2k until now it depend of what u looking for in a golf game tho
it will be crazy if PGA 2K also gets the licenses to all 4 majors or least to the 3 majors like the US Open, PGA Championship, and The Open!
What part of major exclusivity don't you understand? If 2k had a chance they'd take it...
2K should start buying liv licences haha
@@Antidepressiva1980 I'm not sure if 2k wants to attempt that while having the PGA Liscense.
Who hurt you , lol ?
I like 2k23 much better
Fps literally means nothing. I haven’t given it a seconds thought ever.
EA game plays like absolute trash unfortunately
It depends on what you're looking for, graphic style of ea look way better in every game imo
2k looks cold, even in the menu of all sports games, gameplay is maybe more realistic on 2k but that's all, all about gameplay and basic everywhere else
Really good review and comparison BTW ⛳ 🏌️
