Great video, feels like a superb presentation of all the conclusions of the discussions at the Belgian Buckler Symposium (Covid-Edition). I am a big fan of these broader approaches, so this video really hit a spot for me! Well done my friend :)

Love sword and buckler stuff. Longsword is so dang cool but it's also neat to see a variety of other weapon setups.

It's always wonderful to see sword and buckler! Thank you!

Man when he said "A single tool against the chaos of fighting is really not that relevant" it got to me. It's so applicable to many martial arts contexts and probably even more generally. Saluti da firenze!

This is how the perfect link between source and application is made, amazing video !

Your I.33 background shines clearly through in your applications but I think you are really capturing the possibilities inherent in this gloss. At this point your interpretation here is my favorite. Thoughtfully explained, reasonable, and building on a previous Germanic sword and buckler system. Awesome work! And your lovely and artistically inclined lady did a fabulous job as well with her well timed and crisp responses for you to demonstrate the second and third intentions with. A+ for you both.

    Awww! Hi Frederico's Girlfriend!!
I LOVE your T-shirt designs btw! The combination of HEMA and cats is what this world needs right now!

Thank you very much for such a good job, generous in sharing an excellent education to learn even more about sword and buckler.
I'm waiting for more jobs like this, thank you!

Really love this interpretation. My club is starting a S&B unit tomorrow and as the instructor, I was planning to include this play so was looking at different interpretations and this one was the best IMHO

Love your videos! Always give me something to think about.

Specifically, the most basic action you showed in this play (bind, thrust, zwerch to your left side) is essentially what I imagine to be the action of the "common fencer" that the Priest in I.33 supposedly is "opposing". The action where you feint and thrust on the left has several parallels in liechtenauer and I.33 as well.
I like making these connections because it helps me understand variations on the same basic ideas

Great video! All of the interpretations you mention seem to make sense to me, though I'm no German master.

Just where to stop your sword, inside the buckler, more or less close to your thumb

One request for the future videos on Liegnitzer: can you also show how it "works on the other side" for the relevant plays?

Of course, unfortunately as Elisa is helping me she is not behind the camera as usual, so some footage didn’t came out as expected.
