I am also from The Netherlands. The South between Germany and Belgium. Tilburg is about one and a half hour away from us. Nice to see the cards ideas. Good to use the scraps this way.
Yes it's your great aunt. As I am a great great aunt my sister is 16 years older and has great grandkids. I feel so old at 63.lol. Love your video. Need to use up paper not waste it so this is brilliant.
hello Erin. Thank you for describing these lovely cards. The colours the patterns and the design. I am Blind so really appreciated your great description thank you and look forward to your next video Donna Adelaide.
I can't even imagine stamping without my Misti!! Catching you on replay! I am recovering from total hip replacement surgery. So watching your videos is great!!
Thank you for these ideas! I do struggle with feeling like I want to "dress up" a car that is basically a cutapart put on a mat--I would love to see a video re: different ways to add touches to 3x4 cutaparts especially. Whether it's different ways to cut them, embellish them, how to adapt ones that aren't quite usable...
Thank you so much for yoour awesome card ideas, they are spectacular. I feel the same about seeing Xmas ornaments in a yard or around the house when holidays are days gone... I have gone to homes at the end of January and still see their Xmas ornaments around🤫🤫🤔🤔I put everything away as from 1st January
Great video! I'm addicted to making strip cards. Even made this year's Christmas cards using Christmas paper scraps. Can you show us any ideas for tone on tone scrap cards?
I do lots of this type "use your scrap bits/pieces" paper quilts. Something that is fun to do is once you have got your "quilt" to how you want, run it thru an EMBOSSIN FOLDER and then glue onto the card front. It not only gives some texture and interest, but also helps the pieces meld into a paper.
These were good tips for using scraps for cards. Your grandma's sister would be your great aunt. I had lots of great aunts and uncles. My grandma on my mom's side had lots of brothers and sisters. Her sister in law was my great aunt, but I thought of her like a grandma because my grandma died when I was five. Also, she didn't have any children, so her nieces and nephews were like her kids.
I would LOVE a tutorial of how to choose different patterned papers for different layers on a card with an image. (Like 3 mats and then your image on white.)
Very cute cards! Thank you for sharing. By the way, when I get gunky scissors, I like to use lemon or orange essential oil to clean them. Smells so good and wipes off easily. Another product that works well is Ronsonol lighter fluid. It doesn't smell so good, though. :)
I use the fiskars paper trimmer with the blade insert (link is in the info section of the video). I have had it for over 15 years and LOVE IT!! I had the wire break once, and i contacted fiskars (as the timmer as a lifetime warranty, and they sent a replacement free). You do have to change the blades when they get dull, i change mine 3-4 times a year and i use the heck out of it, but the dulling of the blades is all about how much you use it and what kind of paper you are cutting, some papers dull the blade faster. hope that helps!
Hi, i popped in a couple of the measurements into the info section, but lots of the measurements are what you want or what you have on hand to make the strips or circles
Best thing to clean your gunky scissors is > Eucalyptus Oil (Solution) on a cloth, wipe carefully .... works great and scissors are fresh & like new again :)
Ohh I'm so with you on the Colour thing... though mine might be a little different, So dislike when people put their Christmas stuff up in Sept - Oct, truly takes away the Christmas spirit for me :( by the time Christmas comes, I'm over seeing them all......lol Just way to long for me :( But anyways .... Beautiful cards, love your designs & ideas :)
From Google: Your grandmother's sister (or sister-in-law) is most correctly called your grandaunt. However great aunt is the more commonly, although inaccurately, used term. Likewise your grandmother's brother is your granduncle, or commonly great uncle.
One other reason to avoid placing things on the middle: if you're even a tad off, its obvious that you tried but missed. So just go far from the center like you do.
Thank you Erin for sharing. Your Grandmas sister is your great Aunt.
Thanks so much Kathy Hutchinson for watching!
Yup, your great Aunt. I spent a lot of time with mine since my grandma passed before I was born...Her kids are your 2nd cousins.

Great Aunt is your Grandmother’s sister. I use Un-Du to clean my scissors when they get goopy. It stinks but works like a charm!

I don’t have these strips soo I will paint on my cards!
any strips of paper work, they are just 1/2 in cut from any paper, but paints works great too!
Fun cards, Erin. Thank you for the inspiration. I have sooooo much patterned pattern just waiting to be used.
You are so welcome!
What kind of trimmer are you using and does it hold up well for a long time or do you have to replace blades often
I use the fiskars paper trimmer with the blade insert (link is in the info section of the video). I have had it for over 15 years and LOVE IT!! Thanks for the info!
Grand aunt according to Genealogy
Your mom and mom's sister
are your mom and your aunt
Your grandma and her sister
are your grandma and great aunt
It gets confusing.
it totally does!
She's called a grand aunt
Your grandmother is one of your parents parents and the grandmother’s sister would be your parent’s aunt, and your great aunt.
thank you!
One other reason to avoid placing things on the middle: if you're even a tad off, its obvious that you tried but missed. So just go far from the center like you do.
awesome tip, thank you!
Lynn here, it would be your grant aunt, Yes
She would be your Great Aunt.
