  • With 175k on the clock, this corvette needed a suspension refresh. I upgraded to C6 Z06 shocks, poly sway bushings, and serviceable end links. The car feels transformed.

    Do you have a part number for the end links by Moog?

    Can you make a video of all the track day costs you need? Including the track costs and track insurance, tires, helmet, etc, I'm new to this and looking to get into track days on a local track like you.

      Yes but it's going to be a case of how fast you want to go. I can do a video where I lay out my costs and let you decide where to put your money.

    Hey Zent, good info about suspension. I went the expensive route and put on GM T1 sways. But it sounds like you did it right. Didn't know C6 shocks were interchangeable with C5. Thanks man!

    Good choice. Shocks and sways were one of the first performance things I did on my Z06 around 90k miles.

    Is there a way to re-magnatize or use the old shocks without taking them out? I like an option of an adjustable ride, but my c5 is movie side to side.

    Are you still happy with the C6 Z06 shocks - any issues?

    I would love to see the shock install video that you mention here.

      The memory card got corrupted so I never posted it. I just use zip ties to keep the shock compressed while installing the shocks on the c5.

    Just changing the bushings made you notice a difference? im thinking of going with the full hotchkis sway bars and new end links. subscribed to see the cars transformation , got a c5 a few months ago

      Thanks for the sub. It made a difference just because my old ones were in such poor shape. Fresh stock bushings would feel pretty good too.

    Great videos. I picked up a high mileage C5Z last year and am doing a budget track type of build as well. Tons of Moog parts! How's the rack on yours?

    • @ZentRose
      @ZentRose  6 років тому

      The rack seems to be in good shape. I flushed the power steering fluid when I got the car and haven't had any issues yet.

      Correct, the black C5Z is a 2003 and my old yellow C5Z is a 2002.
