You should make it more clear, that those numbers are just direct inflation, and it doesn't take into account that people did not want to vote for Putin, but voted for him anyway because they had no real option and were afraid/ bribed/ forced to vote that way. In fair elections, he would not have a chance to win.
I guess people outside Russia know much better how the elections were done inside Russia... Yeah, right. It doesn't matter that there was absolutely zero evidence of any coercing/threatening/intimidation to force people to vote. It doesn't matter that there were hundreds of foreign observers at polling stations. It doesn't matter that if you didn't want to vite for Putin, or ANYONE for that matter, you didn't have to. No one forced you. But I guess yeah, what a sham election, when people believe in their leader and vote for him.

It's easier than that now. You are describing the tactics of previous elections. Now all it takes is to list those people who wouldn't vote and actually didn't vote and add enough ballots afterwards. Some of them even not physically but merely electronically.

I once believed that the war in Ukraine was Putin's war, not the Russians'. But unfortunately the new elections have disproved my belief. So if the Russians come to a bad end, the idea of shedding a tear won't cross my mind. Amen!

That's only direct inflation, how many votes were falsified, on top of the fact that people were intimidated by people with guns, bribed, or forced to vote with various methods. Plus, all candidates that could be a threat were kept out of ballots. It should be more clear in the video, but even if they mention some of those things, it still gives general impression that people did want to vote for Putin. Which is false, they voted for him, but didn't want to.

I've certainly noticed very significantly less objectivity when TLDR reports on Russia.
TLDR bias is most apparent in areas where legacy media are also off the rails.

We won't know anything from this election as every step was fudged. We don't know how many total voters there are to begin with as lists are fudged with for example dead russians, so that false ballots can be placed in the ballot. Hence it's impossible to trust turnout numbers 🤷♀️

Overall nice analysis, but there are few components missing:
One thing, Russia has a huge government sector and state run companies, that try their best to make the employees vote for Putin if they don’t want problems at work. This mechanism became significantly more important in recent years.
The other candidates were specifically selected to be as unpopular as possible. Kharitonov and Davankov are literally unknown, while Slutsky is the embodiment of what Russian public hates: a corrupt official with lifetime career completely detached from ordinary people. For instance, communist party has the leader Zuganov who is incomparably more popular than Kharitonov but “chose” not to run.
The opposition call to come to the polling stations at noon sharp that attracted quite a lot of people.

No, Kharitonov is a placeholder for Zuganov who didn’t want to run against Putin who was popular back than and loose. Communist party was popular. This is why in 2000 Zuganov got 30%, in 2004 Kharitonov got 13% and in 2008 Zuganov got 17%. Can you name a single thing for what Kharitonov is known, a single statement? Everyone can name a few for Zuganov or Zhirinovsky.

Don’t forget the Russian electoral commission also barred Yekaterina Duntsova because she wasn’t Kremlin controlled in any way. Chillingly Pamfillova used the same words to her (about being young and having a long life ahead) that she’d used when barring Navalny in 2018. Nadezhdin is a well known politician and while he may not be a Siloviki, he very easily could be coopted into that circle. They let him run on the hope of dividing the opposition. When the opposition united behind him he was barred. To describe him as the leading alternate candidate though is to bury Navalny and Duntsova as the real anti-war alternatives, which clearly the Kremlin will resort to murder to stop them appearing on a ballot.
The three alternatives were a hand-picked comedy communist (their popular leader of 2018 was been banned from holding office), the Kremlin’s Liberals and the “Liberal Democrats” who make Stalin look like Gandhi. When the only true choices cannot stand and live, you’re commenting on a PR exercise where all outcomes are scripted. There is no jepody here, no news at all. You’ve also left out the occupied territories where Putin won the votes of the millions who left occupied Ukraine. Davankov (whose position is run the war economy better, which is a joke as its the only thing Putin’s regime can do well) is just a barometer of manufactured weather. When people in Western democracies talk of having no choice, this is what removal of choice really looks like.
A tyrant has just paraded a scripted unanimity here to impress how strong he is to his subordinates. Next he will fire a few of the less important ones. Don’t expect that to include Shoigu or Lavarov, despite how terrible they are at what they do. TLDR presents only one perspective on a contested subject and the numbers cited (20% fraud) are not backed by empirical evidence, indeed they are, to put it diplomatically, strongly challenged by independent, hard data.
The Levada Center - independent pollsters commissioned by the US to assess Putin's popularity, found that 86% of Russians approved of Mr. Putin.
The election results gave him 87.29%, well within the polling margin of error.
It is entirely legitimate to point out that this was hardly a free and fair election, however in my view, it is 100% illegitimate to spin the results in the way that TLDR has done.

TLDR coverage of the election results is demonstrably nonobjective.
Prior to the election, the Levada Centre, an independent polling organisation, was commissioned by the US to measure Putin's popularity with the Russian public.
They published the results a month ago.
86% percent of respondents indicated that they were satisfied with Putin.
The final figure for the election showed 87.3% for Putin. The result is well within the polling margin of error.
The figure quoted by TLDR for 20% fraud in the election has no basis in empirical data.
TLDR undoubtedly knows of these independent polling results yet they chose not to include mention of them in this report because they have an un-evidenced narrative to sell.
To be clear it is entirely legitimate to report the fact that these elections were neither free nor fair - although I don't see a similar editorial approach on the dubious question of whether US elections should be considered legitimate democracy.

I haven't lived in Russia for 30 years but Putin has always seemed like the kind of leader Russians would like. Currently, he is winning a war against the odds, something that in any country and particularly in Russia will drive popularity. The strong result is plausible. This election is like a plebiscite: yes or no. Right now the economy is strong, Putin is beating the West and Russia is on the brink of taking much of Ukraine, a region that has deep cultural significance to Russians. There is every reason to believe that he is more popular than ever.
Also, Moscow is liable to have the lowest support for Putin. It is the region of Russia where the most educated, most wealthy, most Western-influenced population resides. Extrapolating a guess as to liberal support here to the rest of the country is not reasonable.

The largest real opposition party was Nevalny's and its support is grossly overstated, and predominantly confiend to pockets of Moscow.
