I enjoyed this blog so much. We put people on pedestals and it’s healthy to remember that we are all basically the same. Trying to stay healthy in body and soul. Wanting to do better for ourselves and the people that surround us. Sometimes forgiving ourselves is more difficult than forgiving others but both are central for a healthy balanced life .

Hi Nina. I felt the same way when I turned 50! Don’t give a hoot about other’s opinions etc. I feel so liberated. I remember dreading to hit 40 but was so excited to hit 50! Now 56, I’m not sure how I feel about hitting 60! LOL

I would say you are an “on/off” person. You don’t strike me as the type who needs to stay in a relationship just so you have someone. I am like that too. It always amazes me how so many people just stay in some crummy relationship or awful marriage just to have someone. No thanks. Been there. Done that
I think I am 50s since I am 6 yo, because since I remember things I never give a “f” about what people think but what makes me happy. I am married but I LOVE being by myself. Just me and my thoughts … or my dog around … lol

Nina, I like the YT platform, rather than IG or TikTok. The latter two are like crack, as I imagine crack. They suck you in and require no attention span. YT is more of a deep dive. I like my alone time. Social stuff drains my battery, but I have no problem connecting with others at an event. I think you like on and off monogamy and in between lone time. That is what I like, but at the age of 74, been there done that. I don’t give a rat’s beep if I ever have another relationship. Love my life just as it is, living in paradise. 🏝️

I have been married for most of my life. I don't think I would feel compelled to marry again if something happened to my husband. I think I am mostly a loner but I do attempt to attend events alone on occasion. I think it's healthy to do it even though I don't particularly love it. It does get easier the more you do it though. You are very wise.
