People wouldn't be hating like that if the music was better. Bro tried to go mainstream through a more watered down version of his style and still flopped. His beats went from fast bpm's, lead melodies that are catchy and a digital, almost hyperpop approach to basic ass mainstream type beats. And the crazy thing is, that new shit is waaay better produced in terms of quality but the truth is underground and YT producers go harder in terms of creativity. No amount of money gone give you a unique sound.
Next up his vocals really took a nose dive. Bro used to go crazy with his melodies and almost go into thug like inflections. Everytime i played his music people might not fw him but they always asked who it was cause shit was unique. Now he almost exclusively raps without much singing and there's not a single hook on ph that I remember. Also if you try to go hard on rapping youre lyrics gotta be better man but im not gonna hold him on that, his lyrics were never good but at least they were wild. Like you could listen to old faygo and be entertained just cuz the shit he said was so ridiculous. He completely lost that 2.
I honestly think that the reason why his music not as unique anymore is bc now he's probably recording in studios while other people are there. He's the underdog, the new signee, its a lot of pressure ngl of course he won't go crazy with his voice doing silly shit while freestyling on a beat to find flows. At home he probably just did whatever he wanted, now he got people like fucking pharell to impress, of course shits gone be different.
I want so see faygo win and I wouldn't even hate if i didn't fw his sound if it at least was pushing some boundaries. This watered down shit just makes me feel like this aint his vision and hes just being held back mentally or by the label or whatever. Also this is as constructive as it gets, i want 2 see faygo win otherwise id never be so invested in bros music.

@@tavinburgess7782 you sound dumb. when youre signed to a label there is a hierarchy and a structure to follow. You dont get to drop music whenever you want to unless its negotiated in your contract. There is a schedule and all artists have a specific date and time to drop. When its your time to drop, the label gives you full support so that every artist gets a turn. If youre not hot, you go last or get shelved.

Uzi on generation now, and trippie on 10k (i believe the name got changed recently). Sofaygo sharrs his label with travis scott, don toliver, rosalia and whoever else on cactus jack.

Rappers think they can do the whole playboi carti thing where they don't release music but fail to realize carti was actually leaking his own music and having others leak his snippets that kept fans engaged. So much music was leaked from 2015-2017 that fans even made and released a compilation album. I mean probably hundreds of songs were leaked, that wasn't by accident. I heard of this of this sofaygo dude years ago but never heard a song from him...thats very telling. When you're coming up, you need to be releasing A LOT of music and don't get ahead of yourself just because you got a little traction and cosigns. Its really hard to come back after you're career has been stalled like this.

Trav gotta plan for him Imo you can't ride the underground forever, most of his fans are underground so you will see some hate for a while, but eventually the mainstream shift will work out for the better for him, especially if he gets a feature on utopia or smthn, the underground stuff is not as popular among most people, so if he does get attention from let's say a feature on utopia he needs to have music that I'd palatable to a wider range of people
Artists try copying Carti's release techniques to their own detriment. Let's not forget that Carti wasn't always this mysterious being. He was always seen with Asap, Ian Connor, done magazines like OVO Mag (Drake) fashion shows for Yeezy etc. before he went into full mystery mode. He also had multiple collabs with well known artists in his lane before he even dropped. ( Uzi, Rich the Kid, Maxo Cream, Asap Mob, Tyler, Gleesh etc

4 me personally faygo built his sound off of his voice flow and unique personality and its so sad that songs like count me out ect change his whole style and make it sound too mainstream and not faygo,especially on ph there were alot of parts in certain songs that were ruined and changed for the mainstream people.taking the travis scott route had made sofaygo not be himself and make his own style,his bars are honest dog💩 now sofaygo was so relatable and touched ppl with his words but now its just lil pump bars.(sorry 4 being a fanboy)😭

Sofaygo "leaked" many songs on soundcloud and he even dropped B4Pink on all platforms, what's happening really it's just jealous i think. People just want him to retrocess his artistic style, they want songs on the last 2019/2020 songs rage type beats or autotuned shit.
