Back in 2015 , I vividly remember a live stream on a old app called Periscope of Uzi w/ Yachty in a studio , I remember Uzi aggressively wanting to rap battle against Boat for the live boasting he was the better rapper & wanting to prove it , damn near tryin to “lil boy” him ngl , Boat kept declining saying “we mumble rappers bro , we don’t do dat 😅” Uzi took it as Boat being scared of him & knows he’s better .. I feel like it started there tbh … i hope there’s some OG fans out that remember this also but I can’t find any screen recording of it . But I remember it being a big deal because no one ever seen them in the same room together around that time .
