    So we watched like four other videos. Yours was the most "real" and easy to follow. I also appreciate the comment section for an added tip or two. We total laymen were able to get this done in under 45 minutes.

    Great video. Made the work alot easier. With it being an older car and having 4 other bolts I decided to just remove those 4 bolts, reach up on the housing on both sides towards the back and wiggle and tilt it till the plastic snapped off where the bolt was attached to it. Housing stays in perfectly fine without it. Also avoided having to carve up the insulation. That 5th bolt in the back is overkill. Snapping off the plastic allowed me to change it in about 20 minutes.

      John Klotzbach I have heard of others doing the same, I agree that the back screw is overkill and put there by Chrysler's engineers just to cause misery to those who need to repair the vehicle :) thanks for watching and commenting!

    Thanks for the help! Just finished replacing my fan. If I could offer some advice, using a mirror to get the back screw is very helpful. It's a lot easier than feeling around, or poking your head in there. I'd also like to point out that it works great without that screw back in place! Thanks again!!

    Thank you for the videos. I initially was going to have our garage fix this but after watching your videos I felt this was something I could do in the time I have to devote to the task. That rear screw was not fun. Chipping away at the insulation and finding the screw and everything associated with that sucked. It all worked just fine in the end. I did leave off that screw upon reassembly. I have somehow lost it. Oh well, seems to work just great.. Thanks again..

    Nice video, full of information without having to wade through a lot of frills. Thanks for taking the time to make this. I watched the videos and now feel confident I can handle the whole thing. Got it all apart, and think I'll probably take Robert U's suggestion below and forget about that back screw, especially after spending a good chunk of time finding and taking it off. If anyone has to replace the fan again, they'll probably thank me for that.

    Some comments after having just finished doing this on my 2007 T&C: A mirror and a bright light were helpful. Also, 5/16" works wonders when 8mm isn't available. The motor is keyed, so make sure you are putting it on with the keyed tab in the right place. (It's the one with two holes -- one for the screw and one for a plastic pin.)

    Hi Steve can you help me out please. I have a 06 town and country and sometimes the front fan blower works and sometimes it don't. It takes it fit like everything else does. Does it seem like it could be the fan motor is bad and needs replaced. And also the rear fan blower works it blows from the lower rear passenger side on the floor but no air comes out from the upper vents at all. Please someone give some advice on what the problem can be and if a hard or easy problem to fix. And it also has automatic temperature control. Thanks

    • @E4EonEbay
      @E4EonEbay  5 років тому +1

      So, regarding the front blower motor beneath the glove box area. The next time it is not working, if you can hit the plastic cover that covers it that I show in my video with something solid and it starts working, then most likely the motor itself is bad and is need of replacement. If you have never changed the blower motor and it is still the original from 2006 than its 13 years old and is probably failing. I have sold my blue 2005 and now have a white 2005 and have had to change the blower motor in this one as well, it seems to be a common issue as they age. As far as your rear is concerned it could be something in the electrical control panel or in one of the rear actuators that divert the air to the top or bottom zone in the rear of the van. Perhaps someone else will chime in regarding the rear issue, as I have not run into that one personally so I am only speculating ideas on what it could be. Anyways, thank you for watching and commenting!

    • @jamesmoyer5724
      @jamesmoyer5724 5 років тому

      Thanks Steve I will try to to that when I'm not working. I know sometimes when I turn the setting down or up with the knob the blower quits and then about 5 to 10 min later it starts blowing again but it seems like its not really putting out as much air at times but you can also hear a humming noise as well. And I already replaced fan blower resistor thought maybe that was the problem so maybe that wasn't the problem after all. But I'll have to tap it and see what it does but more likely I'll just replace it.

    • @jamesmoyer5724
      @jamesmoyer5724 5 років тому

      Steve you get this message reply back my fan blower motor goes really high and then low. Sometimes when adjusting the speed it doesn't help. I hear a humming noise coming from that area. And I even replaced the fan blower resistor. So does it seem more likely its the fan blower motor.

    • @E4EonEbay

      @@jamesmoyer5724 yes, it sounds to me like the motor is on its way out, they can be had new for under $30 on eBay shipped. For the money and time its worth changing it now before it dies completely.
