OMG! I got enough about this story! Lucas and Haley were 2 outcast friends who were never interested in popular life and probably hated EVERYTHING related to it (like cheerladers) Even early Season 1 Haley herself could have never thought about being a cheerlader and liking it! Luke found her "ridicoulos" just because she seems like a different person compared to the one she was for like all her life! Luks apologizes to her after 5 minutes, and nothing bad really happened between them!
Naley will forever have my heart. I’ve rewatched one tree hill every year since I first saw it in 2013. It’s my comfort show and the characters have stayed with me since then, I really hope you enjoy your journey because you really can’t get watching it for the first time back
fun fact the karen cooking school storyline is because moira (the actress) was pregnant when they cast her and she finally got too big to hide it/it was time for maternity leave, but in her last episode the ways they hide her stomach is so so funny

I think it was the 2000s brainwashing me with the best friend crushing on them trope, it was a vibe I got in the pilot and then when he consoled her when she was crying I thought maybe that would be a realisation moment but I'm so glad they went in a different direction with it!

Season 9 was only 13 episodes. It was pretty much rapping up everyone’s story. The title of the show is actually a U2 song called “One Tree Hill.” The town is called Tree Hill and they go to Tree Hill high school. The “One” in the title is just referencing the fact that there is no other town like Tree Hill. You won’t turn on Lucas but you will come to love Nathan!

I can firmly say this show is my favorite, my little sister and i both do a yearly rewatch of the entire thing because it’s just too nostalgic. we coincidentally started rewatching it at the same time last year and found out facetiming each other while we were watching it😂 also can i just say this show has THE BEST soundtrack ive ever heard, i have a whole playlist dedicated to the best of the best.

A couple months ago I was re watching The O.C and I remember thinking "omg, what season is this?" and I looked and it STILL was season one, it has like 26 episodes...insane! I watched back them when it first aired, and I remember thinking The O.C was on air for soooo long but when you realize it was just 3 season is crazy, it was the equivalent of 6/7 season today, 26/24 episodes a season was so good, I miss this too.

There is really no show out there like One Tree Hill. I watched it for the first time probably around the same time last year. This show had and still has me in a chokehold. I can't stop thinking about it. Such a comfort show and has characters that show enormous character development and a wide range of emotions. Season 4 is definitely my favorite season of them all.

Oooh I love this! Okay I think Lucas will end up with Peyton just based on how their connection has been building it seems more destined to end up together than Brooke. In terms of jobs I have no idea for Brooke but they seem to be pushing Haley's music talent so something with that and then Peyton maybe an illustrator? Dan I'm not sure because so far in S2 he seems to be on a redemption arc but I don't trust him so I feel like he could get so much worse 😂 for the team I think it'll get worse before it gets better like a big loss and then comeback story win a huge championship kind of vibe
@@laurendaisy27 Haley's singing storyline came to the surface after the creator overheard the actress singing on set and so he decided to take advantage of it by having her character become a singer and sometime during filming of Season 2 Bethany went on a One Tree Hill Concert Tour with Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp who are known as The Wreckers, Gavin DeGraw and Tyler Hilton and it is somewhat foreshadowed on the show when Haley leaves.

Weeds is one of my favorite shows but the whole first season was just fine its really the second season that thingspick up because you need those origin stories

If you're looking for more series with longer seasons and don't mind watching older shows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a must. The impact it had on pop-culture at the time was crazy. I highly recommend!
I watched one tree hill for the first time in 2022 as i only was born in may 2003. I really didnt expect to love the show as much as i did but it has become my fav show ever and it means so much to me. I never loved or cared about characters as much we really see them grow upand have amazing character development. My fav characters are lucas and brooke.
So exciting to see you experience OTH for the first time! Since FINALLY starting it in 2016 and finishing the entire series in just over a week, I am literally always in the middle of a re-watch. You are in for such an iconic ride and you truly haven't even seen the half of it!

i am so happy that you're finally doing videos on one tree hill! i had the exact same experience as you in the beginning and didn't get hooked when i watched the first two episodes. i actually didn't continue watching the show until one month later and then episode 6 made me really like the show and soon after i was obsessed with it! definitely one of the top tv dramas and brooke is probably my favorite female tv character of all time! also i don't know if you know this, but the actor that plays dan and the actress that plays lily on gossip girl seemingly dated in real life. i'm not sure if they ever confirmed it, but if you look up their names, you will find the most gorgeous pictures of them together 😊

I recently watched the first 4 seasons of this show Peyton and Brooke are easily my favorite characters with the best storylines. Also is it just me or is Lucas insanely bland meanwhile everyone else around him is way more interesting it reminds me of Ryan in the O.C.

Since it's your first time watching (I wish I had this opportunity) you should listen to the drama queens podcast along with it. Bethany Lenz, Sophia Bush, and Hilarie Burton are all still super close friends, and they recap each episode and talk about what was going on behind the scenes while filming. I really feel as though as the show goes on, it becomes less about the boys and more centered on the girls, which I love. So the three of them discussing their characters more and focusing on their friendships is really interesting to me.
The way Peyton and Hayley throw themselves at Lucas and Nathan is so funny to see out of context :') like damn, we didn't even get some warning signs / tension before they kiss
They are 16 in Season 1. It's junior year so that would encompass ages 16-17 and the first season is just the first semester of junior year. No major spoiler but it is later confirmed that at least Haley is 16 in season 1 and since they are all in the same grade they're probably similar or same age.
From ep 4, I don’t think Dan actually cares if Nathan is a good kid because of how much of an ahole he is himself. Like either it didn’t occur to him that he’d actually have to try to make Nathan a good kid in order to counteract his own behavior or maybe that he WANTS Nathan to turn out the same way as him because he’s just that evil

I haven’t finished the video yet but if you haven’t watched All American you should. Similar story of a boy from the other side of the tracks who plays sports and had love triangles lol. Also, love the video and I’m happy you found OTH. I was a kid when the show came out and I loved it then and love it even more now.
Lucas is generally a nice guy (one of the nicest in the show tbf) its just that his morals and commitments go right out the window if Peyton is even mentioned lol. He was a good boyfriend to Brooke until he found out Peyton was interested and then he self-sabotaged the whole thing, (minor spoiler but that's kind of a pattern for this show) and its lowkey understandable, they're kind of the Blair and Chuck of OTH, except the only crimes Lucas and Peyton commit are cheating on their partners, Chuck was a fucking rapist and Blair committed multiple actual felonies.
I can tell you love a good teen drama but I don’t know what type so I’ll listen some out that I think you’ll love and you should watch 👌🏼 Boy Meets World, Heartland, Dawson’s Creek, Teen Wolf, The Fosters, Degrassi, The 100, Everwood, Outer Banks and That 70s Show
Once you're done with One Tree Hill, I'd recommend the 90s & 2000s Renaissance shows back during the glory days of the WB/CW and teen dramas: The O.C., Dawsons Creek, Party Of Five and Friday Night Lights. Those are four must watches after One Tree Hill. I'd also recommend Smallville, The Vampire Diaries and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. All those shows changed my world. Smallville and One Tree Hill were the first two live action shows I ever got into, and I never looked back. So those two specifically will always hold a special place in my heart. I never watched Gilmore Girls or 90210 or its Spinoff Melrose Place, but maybe will one day.

I agree with the character rankings. Lucas was the best character at the beginning, but Nathan and Brooke ended up being my favorites in the show. Maybe its because both were such, I don't want to say jerks, but they kind of were in the beginning. Their characters definitely had the most character development and the biggest hearts out of anyone.

There is really no show out there like One Tree Hill. I watched it for the first time probably around the same time last year. This show had and still has me in a chokehold. I can't stop thinking about it. Such a comfort show and has characters that show enormous character development and a wide range of emotions. Season 4 is definitely my favorite season of them all.

Oooh I love this! Okay I think Lucas will end up with Peyton just based on how their connection has been building it seems more destined to end up together than Brooke. In terms of jobs I have no idea for Brooke but they seem to be pushing Haley's music talent so something with that and then Peyton maybe an illustrator? Dan I'm not sure because so far in S2 he seems to be on a redemption arc but I don't trust him so I feel like he could get so much worse 😂 for the team I think it'll get worse before it gets better like a big loss and then comeback story win a huge championship kind of vibe

@@laurendaisy27 Haley's singing storyline came to the surface after the creator overheard the actress singing on set and so he decided to take advantage of it by having her character become a singer and sometime during filming of Season 2 Bethany went on a One Tree Hill Concert Tour with Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp who are known as The Wreckers, Gavin DeGraw and Tyler Hilton and it is somewhat foreshadowed on the show when Haley leaves.

Weeds is one of my favorite shows but the whole first season was just fine its really the second season that thingspick up because you need those origin stories

If you're looking for more series with longer seasons and don't mind watching older shows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a must. The impact it had on pop-culture at the time was crazy. I highly recommend!

I watched one tree hill for the first time in 2022 as i only was born in may 2003. I really didnt expect to love the show as much as i did but it has become my fav show ever and it means so much to me. I never loved or cared about characters as much we really see them grow upand have amazing character development. My fav characters are lucas and brooke.

i am so happy that you're finally doing videos on one tree hill! i had the exact same experience as you in the beginning and didn't get hooked when i watched the first two episodes. i actually didn't continue watching the show until one month later and then episode 6 made me really like the show and soon after i was obsessed with it! definitely one of the top tv dramas and brooke is probably my favorite female tv character of all time!
also i don't know if you know this, but the actor that plays dan and the actress that plays lily on gossip girl seemingly dated in real life. i'm not sure if they ever confirmed it, but if you look up their names, you will find the most gorgeous pictures of them together 😊

Since it's your first time watching (I wish I had this opportunity) you should listen to the drama queens podcast along with it. Bethany Lenz, Sophia Bush, and Hilarie Burton are all still super close friends, and they recap each episode and talk about what was going on behind the scenes while filming. I really feel as though as the show goes on, it becomes less about the boys and more centered on the girls, which I love. So the three of them discussing their characters more and focusing on their friendships is really interesting to me.

They are 16 in Season 1. It's junior year so that would encompass ages 16-17 and the first season is just the first semester of junior year. No major spoiler but it is later confirmed that at least Haley is 16 in season 1 and since they are all in the same grade they're probably similar or same age.

From ep 4, I don’t think Dan actually cares if Nathan is a good kid because of how much of an ahole he is himself. Like either it didn’t occur to him that he’d actually have to try to make Nathan a good kid in order to counteract his own behavior or maybe that he WANTS Nathan to turn out the same way as him because he’s just that evil

Lucas is generally a nice guy (one of the nicest in the show tbf) its just that his morals and commitments go right out the window if Peyton is even mentioned lol. He was a good boyfriend to Brooke until he found out Peyton was interested and then he self-sabotaged the whole thing, (minor spoiler but that's kind of a pattern for this show) and its lowkey understandable, they're kind of the Blair and Chuck of OTH, except the only crimes Lucas and Peyton commit are cheating on their partners, Chuck was a fucking rapist and Blair committed multiple actual felonies.
I love One Tree Hill it's awesome and a wonderful series 😊

Once you're done with One Tree Hill, I'd recommend the 90s & 2000s Renaissance shows back during the glory days of the WB/CW and teen dramas: The O.C., Dawsons Creek, Party Of Five and Friday Night Lights. Those are four must watches after One Tree Hill.
I'd also recommend Smallville, The Vampire Diaries and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
All those shows changed my world.
Smallville and One Tree Hill were the first two live action shows I ever got into, and I never looked back. So those two specifically will always hold a special place in my heart.
I never watched Gilmore Girls or 90210 or its Spinoff Melrose Place, but maybe will one day.

I agree with the character rankings. Lucas was the best character at the beginning, but Nathan and Brooke ended up being my favorites in the show. Maybe its because both were such, I don't want to say jerks, but they kind of were in the beginning. Their characters definitely had the most character development and the biggest hearts out of anyone.
