- There is little that I find more fun that spending a Saturday at a Card Show with my Dad. We made the 90 minute drive to the Bay Area of Northern California. We always look forward to this show because it regularly has several vintage dealers with lots of awesome cards. This time, we saw t206, American Caramel, Cracker Jack, Topps, Bowman, Old Judge, and many other variety of cards. I saw more quality vintage Basketball Cards than normal, which is always fun, and there were quite a few nice looking vintage Football Cards as well. But, wait until you see the haul of vintage cards my Dad walked away with at this show. He bought some really great looking stuff.

I'm very fortunate. Northern California has some terrific card shows for vintage collectors.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate that. I went to a small show Saturday, and that video should post this week after I finish up editing. I always voice over my card show videos. To me, they're boring otherwise. I like to share my thought process as I'm at a show.

I totally agree. He used to be all about corners. But, I'm slowly converting him to be all about eye appeal. That haul was all about it.

I love photography and have a nice Canon 5D Mark IV camera. It's really nice. I just get frustrated that I'm not as good with it as I'd like to be. But, I haven't learned enough on how to navigate on it the way that I want to.
Great video Graig! Its great that you went to the show with your dad! Mine came with me to the National this year. Its a blast going to shows with him, since he talks about the golden age players based on actually watching them play. So glad that you had a good time with your dad! Great pick ups! I had a stroke playing softball at the Huntsman’s World Senior Games in St. George UT on Saturday in the Gold Medal game. The Alaska team in a sign of great sportsmanship said they wanted to split the gold(they were ahead at the time) when I went down in left field (3rd inning). Had a photo taken we me in the gurney with both teams before getting into the ambulance for my “softball wall”. I’m 58 years old and now am thinking to sell a vast amount of my 300,000 card collection and memorabilia.
I’m still in the hospital recovering from my stoke but hope to be home soon.
From one of your other videos of when is the right time to sell, I’m rethinking that with upcoming medical expenses and other stuff (25 year old truck needs to be replaced), it might be sooner than later to sell my cards.
This brought on a whole new perspective of what’s important.
But don’t get me wrong, I still love looking at the vintage cards you show and talk about.
I’m writing this at 4:30am lying in my hospital bed.
Can’t sleep. Have P/ T later today. Staff is great!
I feel lucky to be in a hospital in the US than in the Gaza Strip where they don’t have fuel to keep the hospitals running.

Really sorry to hear about medical issues. I spent a lot of time in the hospital a couple of years ago as I was battling some stuff, myself. Hang in there and watch some fun card content to pass the time!!

The 1989 Score Tim Brown card was cool. It features James Lofton on the card actually and signed by both.

I think you should have snagged the 59 Mays and the Jerry West cards. I just got a 59 Mays in SCG 4 for an incredible price of $150. I also got a 67 Sayers in a PSA 6. Both are beautiful cards and were great deals!

local bay area viewer here, enjoy your vids. It would be a nice vid to share what your POV setup is. Seems like youre using a gopro chest mount but everything is so stable and in frame. Insta360 camera?
I'd be happy to show that sometime. Maybe on my next card show video, which should come out in a week and a half. I'll show my setup. I use an iphone with a chest mount.

Not that I recall.
You left the show without buying a single card because you've become smarter as a collector. I'm sure you were like me where a lot of impulse buying took over in your younger years. I have many HOF cards sitting in cases that are creased and off centered that I bought at shows many many years ago. I wouldn't even consider any of them today.
Yeah, it may be that I've somewhat matured. The show had a lot of Pokemon and modern stuff. And, you're probably right that I didn't see anything that really met my eye. Sometimes I just buy to be buying and I'm trying to get away from that.
