Join Prof. Mark Jarzombek, Professor, Department of Architecture, and Prof. John Ochsendorf, Class of 1942 Professor, Department of Architecture, as they explore the Architectural History of MIT: Between Tradition and Innovation. The talk will look at the major planning and design decisions involving the new campus as it was laid out in 1913. It will also discuss the relationship between the design and MIT’s evolving identity, including issues about the campus’s current expansion around Kendall Square.
