Why is getting the price feels like a treasure hunt? You didn't mention the prices and there are no prices on their website, you need to go through the retailer, search for their website and then you are greeted with entering all your info so they can harass you with phone calls and emails, and still with zero info about prices. I think people are fed up with that crap and I will be looking at other manufacturers where I can actually see the prices of what I'm interested in.
I hate that they won't simply give an estimated ballpark starting range so people have an idea of what it would cost to go this route.
Because it depends on where you live, where you are putting it, how far they have to travel, permitting in location, type of foundation and anchoring you want, type of skirting you want, type porch or stairs you want. So I doubt you'll ever find true pricing anywhere. At least until you speak to someone and tell them your wish lists.

The racks over the stove burners are warmers. Keeps the food in the pan warm without being on the burner directly in turn not burning the food in the pan.
Yup. Warmers. Can be used for plates too so you do not put hot food on cold plates.

This house is well designed. There is no wasted space, yet it is not tight quarters. It's simplicity makes it charming. The unique exterior design commands attention because of the beauty! I prefer the double wide homes, but, this house is a 10 out of 10 for me!

do you know what the plumbing like in these modular/mobile homes? approximate cost?
This is NOT a prefab home. It is a manufactured (mobile) home built on a trailer frame hidden behind a skirt and built to the HUD manufactured home standard. It's not a prefab home which would be built onsite from panels to local code, considered permanent, and would be more valuable. You should change the title so that it's not deceptive.

Same, but I noticed a trend with essentially taking something that was once associated with lower income, like the living out of your car or a trailer park that has certain stigmas with them and rebranding them with "van life" or "prefab" homes.
At least be honest and not click bait as these are still nice budget homes, and the area is nice.

I'm Canadian, and I find this house to be nice and smartly appointed. As a single man, I would love to live in such a house as it wouldn't be too big or too small. Unfortunately for me, a house like this in Canada would cost $500K minimum. Here in Canada, we seem to be seized by this strange belief that housing should be unaffordable and hard to access for all but the rich. And there seems to be no end in sight to the crisis.

Agree with you on everything. Australia is the same, our Building Authority is run by a bunch of cowboys that have never built in their life so we have compliance issues in every state except WA. Prices are the same as in Canada...would love to own this home but as a single woman it's impossible; the whole industry is catered to super-rich couples, not ordinary singles.

My brother works at the Champion plant in York, NE. It’s so nice to see one of the homes he has help build. He built his own home there as well and the customizations he added were more than top notch. Thanks Chance for sharing this from Champion. They have some beautiful homes and have even built apartment buildings in Colorado. 😃 from Nebraska.

This house is very well distributed. I don't understand how they think of putting 2 sinks in the common bathroom and a single sink in the double room, that doesn't make any sense. And on the other hand, I can't stand buildings with air conditioning vents on the floor... I love all the rest of this model ❤❤❤
The master bathroom did kinda surprise me. And I too absolutely hate in floor heat/cool registers. I have them now and they are gross and bad for many reasons that I could list besides very poor placement that sees them getting covered up my furniture or area rugs.
I love me some affordable modular housing. They just keep getting more and more beautifully designed.

Very nice. It is not very big but they made very good use of their space. I like the bright and minimalist nature of it. I hate clutter. This is a perfect small house with all the basics.

That is a STUNNING home! What a wonderful design to ‘age in place’ - now that I’m almost 60, these concept have become increasingly important! My only wee changes would be:
1. Keep the flooring as LVT all the way through… carpet is just gross.
2. Change the mechanicals to a heat pump and an on-demand water system. That way, you have a large closet for coats, etc., at the back door by combining the two closets.
3. I would need to build a garage to both keep my vehicle out of the weather as well as to store all my different holiday decorations (and trust me when I say, that second reason is the major one!).
4. I would change the countertop, but that’s just an aesthetic/personal taste thing. I could easily live with them as they are, but if I had my druthers, I’d choose something different.
5. I’d change the open shelving uppers to white closed cupboard boxes. Again, just a personal preference.
Considering how minimal those few changes are - and most are capable of being achieved during production, this is about as close to perfect as I could imagine! We all know that the “perfect” house is virtually impossible unless you completely design from scratch. For a manufactured home, this one is a full run with the bases loaded! I also happen to agree with you about those kitchen lights…. I am obsessed! While I understand the comment about the flat roof (I live in the Canadian Arctic, so it would be a fool’s errand to put one here, but in a temperate year-round location, it would be perfect!
I’m with you on every single change! That would be perfect. I also loathe carpet. Especially considering I live in Florida/ on a dirt road. Plus I’m a clean freak, lol.

@@gsy971you can't keep sorry from going through the carpet even if don't wear shoes in the house. Depends on where you live too. In Texas, we had sand storms. I lived in the country in Indiana with a mom that made you take your said off and kept the house spotless. But we lived with fields on the sides and in front of us. When they plowed, fertilized and harvested, there was tons of dirt blowing around.
We removed carpet out of the house my ex husband was born and raised in, that his mom had put in 27 years ago at that time. There was so much dirt under it and the padding that you could grow a garden. Disgusting. I said I would never have carpet again (not to mention carpet isn't good if you have allergies or a kid with allergies to dirt, dust or dust mites).
Now you're talking. Perfect size for just two people and a pet. Priced better than most and in today's market. I need to find out if these homes are available in VA. Can't wait to see the one next door as well.
We just bought a Champion home. Thankfully it’s just two adults in the home because the doors and cabinetry would not last with children around. Cheap, materials.

I wouldn't mind living in a modular/mobile home. I've done it before. But I will never pay LOT RENT again. I have to own the land it's on.

@@dialecticalmonist3405 -What's right about it? Instead of using that monthly payment to buy a piece of land for your home, you're throwing it away, building wealth for the land owner. Plus, rent can always go up, and usually does. Plus, you're crammed in with other renters like sardines. You could easily find a land purchase agreement that would give you a couple of acres for what the rent is. - When you put your mobile home on a nice, ample piece of land, you can build a bigger house on it, too, at your leisure, since you live right there. - When you don't own the land, none of those things that go with home ownership can be yours. You don't really own a home. You own a depreciating metal box, and your monthly payments do nothing but drain your hard-earned income.

The Bedrooms and Bathrooms are big, spacious, comfy, and roomy. Love the kitchen!! The laundry room is awesome!! The Living, Dining, and Family Room are exceptional!! Plenty of room for everybody!! The rack over the stove is for keeping things warm, like the draw under a stove people use for storing pots and pans.

Very simple and unique, I like it. I like the utility room location and how it’s been made almost part of the kitchen and the hot water heater location in the middle of the house rather than one end or the other. Cuts down on waiting for hot water. Great video Chance
I wish that the builders would put water facets on at least 3 exterior locations. I’d also like pocket doors to be able to close of the laundry room. Washers and dryers are noisy.

We live on this street and saw our new home in the background of this video, and the last one you showed here, so fun. I've been dying to see inside this model. Love the curb appeal. We had an eye on a similar one nearby but couldn't get an offer in soon enough. Now I'm glad we got the one we did.
I love the front of this one and the clever layout inside ... It's cozy. But now that we have one with a more open and bigger kitchen/dining/living area, i think prefer that.
I too thought the one sink in master bath was weird and it also feels too closed in. Would be ok for a single person, maybe. I'm also not crazy about the cramped laundry area although again its a very clever use of space. The shelves across from the washer/dryer look decorative. Who's going to see them there? I think I'd use them for storage, maybe with cute baskets. I suppose it is customizable.

Those are for putting hot pans up on when you have laminate counters and don’t want to melt them because electric stoves have such slow cool down periods. If you see something similar over a sink it’s a dish drying rack

The only thing I dislike about some of these homes are the floor vents.
I like this house. Lots of drawers in the kitchen, pocket doors. Great 'secondary bathroom'. The front of the house is so open and filled with light.

I like the interior of this home but the exterior is too modern and plain. I really like the pocket doors to the closet and master bath. You don't lose any floor space and it's easier to maneuver in the space.
My only guess for those racks above the stove is maybe cooling racks? Like after you take something out of the oven and don't want to put it directly on the counter. Also, it's a small kitchen so it wouldn't take up counter space. Just a guess.

Good layout. I would enclose the laundry room due to noise. BRM's are awful tiny for my 6'1", 280 15 yr old grandson though! You know what would be interesting, a 2 MBR on each end. With of course an office space. Right size though. Kitchen is really nice. Still looking chance!

That is always what I look at first. No matter were you live you HAVE to have a place for coats, boots, hats etc. by the front door.
I love the clean look of the outside. It needs a wood burning fireplace for sure.
I would want bathtubs in both bathrooms.
I don't mind that flat roof as long as it has excellent drainage. In Michigan, snow piling on it might be an issue.
The racks are for deep frying, as you take your food out of the deep fryer pan you place it on the racks to drain the grease
My son spent 3 years in York Nebraska. He got a Baseball scholarship to York University all the way out from San Francisco Bay Area. He met his wife at York and now live in Kansas.

With a few changes, this could be a great home. The end bedrooms aren't the most practical in terms of layout. I would switch out the primary closet/bathroom for a more traditional walk-in closet next to a 5x8 bathroom so that you could have a functional walk-in. That hallway down to the sink is just wasted space. If it was a true 28' wide, the plan could function much better. You didn't mention the quality of the features, does it have plastic sinks and laminated countertops in the base price? How many upgrades are there in the model home? While many manufactured homes have improved in the build quality, many of the features are simply junk in quality. You would be better off buying a quality box at the base price and then getting the upgrades done yourself. That is just my opinion. Also, I think a good-quality used mobile home could be a great option, especially it if it attached to the real estate and you own the land on which it sits. Chance, I would love to see you do a video on the process of buying a mobile home, how to negotiate with the dealer, ways the dealer rips you off, etc.

Outside of the wire shelving and the lack of shelving in the kitchen "pantry" this is a very doable home. I would leave ot the shelving in the utility for an upright freezer.

Why does the master bathroom only have one sink when the second bathroom has two? Chance you asked what the extra racks above the stove were for, and I don't know what that feature is for. If I were to guess, I would say it's for warming plates.
Perfect for a family of 3-4, and a pet dog (If you love to have a companion). The size is not too small. Looks phenomenal imo

I left a complimentary comment about how the video was honest in that the home in the thumbnail is the one featured (others bait and switch) and how it's nice to have a price quoted. However, and it's a big however, I found out this home is only featured in Sun Communities. In other words, they are going to tell you where to live. That should have been mentioned.

I've got a dump of opinions about the home itself:
Lovely little porch with a strategically placed light for putting the keys in the front door! I dig the trim on the outside but for some reason they didn't put it around the dining room window that faces the street? The part where its wood tone, not painted. I'm also really curious how well these materials weather over time.
I'm not digging the total lack of window sills on the inside of the house. But that's sort of nitpicking. My cats like to chill on the sill, and I have little plants. I'm annoyed by transom windows that do not open. They can save so much money on cooling if you can open them and avoid putting the Air Conditioner on. Which is ironic because I'm seeing vents over the bedroom doors which appear to simply vent into the hallway. Those could be moveable transoms!
What you called a pantry looks intended to be a coat closet for the side door. Especially if this home is built in the midwest. Fantastic that they included shelving right across from the washer n dryer for laundry supplies and clothes hampers. I might hang a curtain here for privacy but not including a door makes it feel open.
I enjoy the concept of the microwave center, but need just a tad more counter space there to get things in and out of the microwave easily. Really love the two sets of outlets on the kitchen island. The sink facing the living room is nice for parties or gatherings so the host still feels like part of the conversation.
The single piece of shower/tub is gonna save the new owner so much time on cleaning. The less seams, the better when it comes to preventing water damage.
In the first bedroom, the double door closet seems awkward. I get it, it allows full access but oof, it eats up a lot of space for them to open. I would probably end up taking them off and hanging a curtain. Are there not overhead lights in the 2 back bedrooms? I saw a switch. But they didn't have fan/light like the master. I might have seen a single ovehead can light.
I like the master bed with two windows. They staged it perfectly - your bed, nightstands, and dresser would pretty much *have* to be arranged like that. Is that a Queen size bed?
Not a fan of no door on the master sink area. It's begging for you to wake up your sleeping partner. Lovely pocket doors in the master bath n closet. But honestly? I'd just need 1 pocket door that pockets to the left of the master bath, occupying some master closet space & then remove the closet and bath pocket doors. Love the tile that went to the ceiling in the master bath, would have liked that option in the hall bath too. Good linen storage in the master bath.
I don't know a ton about prefab homes. This looks to be on a block foundation. A friend of mine in a double wide has this too and needs a sump for it. It's basically an exterior crawlspace. What other foundations could you do with this home?
Overall, good use of space. My biggest concern would just be the quality of the materials.
Im in Canada Vancouver, that house would be an easy $ 1 Million, CDN!!! Only $150,000 USD Only! Plus buy the land. Plus fees for every other little thing you didn't know about. Plus Taxes! Plus property taxes. $7000.00 a year for my Landlord and not going down any time soon. Plus 20 percent down, if your credit score isn't top notch and you can pass the income stress test at the bank.
Plus water , gas, internet and electricity ( taxed).
What are the kids going to do in 15 years when they want a home for their families?

House has a really attractive front elevation. The kitchen is way bigger than I like but I live by myself. Nice space and plenty of room for a small lot.
One of the better homes I've seen in the mobile/prefab arena depending on material used and lasting quality. I hope people understand how much more money it actually cost to buy the land these go on and so many other additional costs that aren't being disclosed. It's a lot. With that said, it's beautifully designed and worth it to go this route knowing what you are getting before it's built/delivered. Most contractors suck and cut corners...lol. This is definitely the future.
Beautiful home with a nice open floor plan great for entertaining. I would prefer the double vanity be in the master. I'd add extra racks in the master closet for couples. the biggest miss is no separate closet storage for coats or comforters or no mudroom area to hang coats away from guest view. major for rain and snow states. I wonder if there is an option to incorporate the microwave in the island or over the stove in exchange the microwave space to serve as a small closet. And instead of a huge water heater go tankless for more storage for mop/ broom vacuum.. Farm house sink with a divider should be standard or available as an option. Great walk through. I'm eager to see what the next home has to offer.

I don't need high ceilings, I don't need double sinks, I don't flashy anything. Just the basics with a washer and dryer and lots of storage ..... . I do need big or lots of windows to bring in natural light. And if in an RV Park they need to be high windows for privacy. I like on demand hot water (space saver) and wood or vinyl flooring to easily clean.
