The Pafuri region of the Kruger National Park is steeped in history, dating back to the ancient community of Thulamela. www.sanparks.o...
It’s currently divided in two parts at the Luvhuvu River. The northern side which borders the Limpopo River and Zimbabwe, and the Sourthern Part which borders just Mozambique. Both are still part of the Kruger Park, but the northern region is now known as Makuleke Contract Park, following the successful land claim of the Makuleke people in 1998. Instead of resettling their land, the Makuleke made the inspired decision to turn it into a contract park within the Kruger National Park system.
The area is managed jointly with South African National Parks, and is now home to four private lodges, all of which are owned and staffed by the community, using sustainable tourism as a means of making good the negative effects forced removal had on lives and livelihoods, and by aiding in the establishment and redevelopment of infrastructure for the all members of the Makuleke community. returnafrica.c...

Thanks guys - this is one of the best visually informative videos of Pafuri. We’re going there July ‘22 - I’ll watch this video probably another 10 times before then …

Vous pouvez faire une visite d'une journée, mais pas tout voir. Notre recommandation est une semaine,
You can do a day visit, but not see all of it. Our recommendation is a week!
