- One of the key challenges for the security agencies and government in Manipur is to disarm the civilian population. An estimated 4000 weapons are in circulation, many of which were looted from armouries. Especially in villages which border Kuki and Meitei communities, male volunteers in the villages, take turn to patrol the fields, armed with guns. Barkha Dutt reports from Village Phayeng on the language of battle- bunkers, patrols and guns- where the conversation was once about pineapples and vegetables.

There is full evidence even in videos where kuki mob is joined with kuki militants armed with automatic rifles started burning houses and shops of meitei civilians by taking cover of the so called peaceful rally. This news spread to all of Manipur mostly through social media and the retaliation begins. And the question is if this really was the issue of ST, why other tribes didn't join in this fight? The answer is NO ! It never was about ST but about realising their dream of forming kukiland in reality at any cost. This is just the tip of the iceberg anyone can see their true intentions even in their new so called peace rallies where they are seen walking with full combat dress with weapons shouting about separation and destruction.

@@sachilkhuman1947 The real reason of this violence is to get separate administration or separate state so they can continue their drug business and bringing in of illegal immigrants like Mizoram which are the main components of realizing their long term dream to form KUKILAND which they (kukis in Manipur, in Mizoram, in Myanmar and in Bangladesh) all have in common.
But why now? Because Manipur government started -
1. Destroying poppy plantation - The main REVENUE of funding their fight against Myanmar, Bangladesh and India.
2. Identifying illegal immigrants - This is their main man power to plant poppy and fight against other.
3. Eviction from the reserved forest lands - The place to plant poppy and settle illegal immigrants.
And if all these 3 continues there will be no more dream of Kukiland.
Why here?
1. Safezone - Out of Myanmar, Bangladesh and India, India is the safest place because there are already chin kuki mizos residing here with privilege of ST in Mizoram, Manipur and other parts of India.
2. Protection - SOO agreement with Central and State Govt. which is put under the Assam Rifles and only the state government withdrew from this agreement recently.
Why Meitei?
1. Because our CM is Meitei, he is the one who is obstructing their road to kukiland and other non-informed person including media and social media will blindly believe him as the perpetrator of this violence.
2. They can play their victim card and blame game because everyone sees Meiteis as the majority, Hindu and a community of power.
3. Demand of inclusion in ST by Meitei and there, they saw their perfect window to execute their wicked plans like killing two or three birds with one stone.
4. And knew we would react when they kill our people and burn our houses. Well anyone and everyone would react when their family is killed and their house are burned.
5. We were their perfect scapegoat for their path to forming a separate state.
This is just the tip of the iceberg and I hope anyone who still believes in truth and want real justice to be served will help us. Please keep on asking questions and search in the past because this does not happen in a day.
One important point is they will use any means I mean any means necessary to get to their goal. Stay safe. Hope peace will be back in our beautiful land soon.
