Amid thousands of doctors protesting on a global scale, The Supreme Court today heard the suo motu case related to the rape and murder of a doctor at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. A Bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) D.Y. Chandrachud ordered the protesting doctors to resume work by 5 pm tomorrow. This directive followed senior advocate Kapil Sibal’s submission that 23 individuals have died due to inadequate medical treatment.

Cisf forces arrived around 22 last month , its more than over 15 days , yet they are not given accomodation , 3 company of cisf , which means 270 personels , yet only 90 are given accomodation , yet cji never asks what was the state government doing for 15 days , but repeatedly stresses doctor should do his duty , we dont care if every other department is sitting idle

They found that they started making doctors feel guilty, even CJI said that. So, basically they think they have won. Everyone will go back to jobs and they can threaten and control them as required.

RGkar case is a case of rape and murder where govt is trying to hide and destroyed the evidence..... Not only the doctor s.... Public of every class of WB is protesting. The CJI seems to have little respect or care about every citizen's fundamental right to protest, even go on strike... strange!! Why did he wrench the case from the Calcutta HC on his own in the first place? Is he afraid that Calcutta HC might really bring down the whole corrupt edifice of TMC?

This lawyer has been on most Barkha’s shows and he is a --hole of the No 1…does not have ears of the cartelization of politics in Bengal and its effect to the common people of Bengal.
This was the case that gives cji the golden opportunity to tell the people of india how neutral he is but sadly whatever so far seen its highly unlikely 😮. He can give ultimatum to doctors but not to mamata how wierd it is . Sadly we will never know what happend with that poor girl on that night . Its history now .
CJI loses his cool when the victim doctor's lawyer starts asking uncomfortable questions whereas on the other hand he is patiently listening to the constant poking of Kapil Sibal's irrelevant talks right from day one. Shame on Indian judiciary.
This is not simply another case before the Supreme Court; the entire nation is looking to the highest court to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident. Everyone is hoping for an exemplary punishment, not only for the individual responsible for the crime but also for those who misrepresented the facts and covered up the incident. The court must rise to the occasion and restore public faith by ensuring that justice is served, regardless of the clout or position of any individual. The fact that the girl came from a very humble background and had her life cut short just as the rewards of her family's struggles were beginning to bear fruit makes the tragedy all the more poignant.
CJI seems to be not bothered what has happened to hapless victim. He doesn't seems to give justice. He is scared of CM, PM & Poloticians. What kind of Judiciary this is ??? What the parents may be going thru with this casual attitude of giving thariq pe thariq ???

I think in whole West Bengal we have only one government hospital that is R G Kar hospital. That's why people are not going anywhere for treatment during this period knowing that protest is going on.
