After you crossed over the Bear Mountain Bridge to the right would be Peekskill and the military installation Camp Smith. Texas BBQ is worth the ride, finger licking good and right off the bone.
Hey John, even when you have a good view of your gauges on your camera it's impossible to see a white needle on the white 🤍 background!!!
I'm looking at the white face of the gauges and it looks like a good contrast!! White needles, NO WAY!!!

Black gauges, yes. I too prefer the black face over the white face for the same reason...when the sun is shining right on them.

With My Old Road glide 2017 it was chrome on Black the chrome irritated me so bad with the reflection of the sun. My eye could never focus. Now I have all black and its great . I would also ditch the Gas cap as a lot of sun reflects into your eyes from it as well as your gages. Awesome ride been up there many times !!
John the clarity in your drone footage is just amazing . It adds so much quality to your video's. CYCLE FANATIX knock's it out of the park again!👍I have the black face gauges on my Road Glide Special and have no issue with sun on them. Black mirrors and gauges will complete the look!

You’ll get a vin error code using gauges from another bike. You can send ur gauges off to have the back plates and led colors changed. Ohio custom gauges did mine and they came out sick. There are several companies that customize gauges. You can also add emblems to back plates. I have the HD bar and shield on mine.

I have the white gauges on my Road Glide, and yeah, it's a pain in the ass when the AZ sun hit's directly on it.... I want to see how the black ones look once you make the switch. Great video, beautiful ride John. Peace.

Yes sunlight reflecting off my gauges blind the shit out of me too. My 06 has the silver-faced gauges also. One day I’ll have them worked, have leds & face-plates swapped out. Have other concerns to address before that tho lol…. Cool video, bike is looks/sounds fukn awesome, ride safe dude! 🤘🏻

Awesome ride video John really enjoyed watching. I think it would look better with the black because the top part of the bike with the rider sits is all black, so I think it would look better with the black gauges

Just silicone sprayed the cables on my ZX14 like you suggested and tinted my double bubble screen too. Also have been doing the back pulls for the past week getting strong like bull! Thanks John

Great video mang. You’re going to love those black faced gauges. I have them on my RG limited and they make seeing them in the sun much better. It doesn’t help that the “reflection” if you will is whiteish and the face of your gauges is also “whiteish” swap em you’ll be happy. Unless you find some cvo gauges lol

Hopefully, I can do a group ride with you guys this year. Also, I think the dark gauge set is better for viewing and looks great with the console it will just flow better.

Just ordered the S&S 475 for the RK. I was torn between the S&S and the Star 3030. I've always used the S&S so went that route. Looking forward to it! Peace.

I'm a big fan of the S&S. But a lot of people have been telling me the Star 3030 is better. I'm going to try it out on my new 2023 Road Glide.

Hey Big John, thanks for taking us on your ride. Hudson Valley is beautiful, and those roads look inviting. I have the Thrashin bars and gauge set up similar to yours on my '22 RGS and my gauges are black. I have no issues with the sun glare, you will like the color change. Can you please share the info on the silicon spray? I want to do the same on my clutch line, thank you. Go Navy!

Hey John let me know when you're coming up towards Jessica waiting and relaxed at so me and emain't everything like that so I could show you around all the different falls and I'm really like that as you're coming in and ethical there's 2 falls when I once saw you one on the other 2 state parks and then we go into escape there and there's gunshot falls and uh go down down in a lot of others and other falls that's where Hollywood started the lady would jump out the falls at the end of every 1 of her movies

have a question.. Do you ride in 5th gear most of time unless on interstate. ive notice your RPM stay alot higher alot of the time. i have 114" as well
I like to stay a little higher in the rpm range, my bike rev limiter is set at 6500 RPM
@@CYCLEFANATIX I’ve noticed that when I ride on rides even 2 up if I’m running 60mph it less power in 6th but if I put in 5th gear rpm is 2600 or so and feels much better
