If thats water, you are more likely going to have to replace the intake manifold gasket. 07-10 with 3.8l have these issues i believe. Reason is the gasket goes bad on some corners which causes to leak out coolant and cause it to look like its seeping from in between or begind your coolant temp sensor👍 goodluck.

Jay Guevara mine is a 2011. I still haven’t figured it out. The problem hasn’t made anything worse, and she’s still running great. So i think I’ll just have to keep searching

@@developmentdivision122 what i actually ment to say was that it is common for the 3.8 motors, hmm thats weird. Mine kept smelling like burnt coolant everytime id check under the hood. I spotted it just as you did @3:45 Wipe everything clean so you can look closely and pin point where its coming from.

You don't need to change the intake gasket. It common these leak around the sensor.

If you've got things apart, it's a good time to replace the belt too.
    Sucks doing the job twice.

Hey chris thank you for this. I googled for 2012 Jeep Wrangler sport and your video came up...is this same setup for 2012&reason I’m thinking I need that assembly is my Jeep makes a funny sound, was louder this last Winter in the cold, took it in to mechanic and they replaced the harmonic balancer and Summer before that was the Serpentine...I’m not sure how the heck they missed this tensioner unit-do you? I’m no mechanic but last Winter the mechanic called me after taking a look see,he said I hope you’re sitting down cuz you’re never going to believe this.... “it’s your harmonic balancer&Ive never worked on one until your Ford Explorer last year”. I was shocked& in a bit of disbelief...how unfair and why did they not just do all the belts LAST Winter? Funny story is a few months before my 2005 Ford Explorer’s transmission took a dump (4mechanics told me it was trans, one guy who a friend referred said NOT transmit.. and bring it in for a $400 part&$300 labor job drove it 60ish miles and same shit, texted with video, mechanics response was bring me the part and I’ll refund but I was heading 350 miles away, took explorer to dealer where I purchased in ‘08 with only 30k miles on it)”It’s now 2015 with about 55k miles&a shot transmission&the used car salesman who didn’t sell me that truck& was a friend of a friend told me It was a. rebuilt trans!!! So they originally sold that explorer with a damn REBUILT Trans WITHOUT TELLING ME-the buyer....WTF that shit should be illegal because they sold it to me without my knowledge....who would’ve thought a newer/3isbyears old already needed a news transmission at less than 30k miles then at 55k it needed another%?!? What was up with those Ford Explorer transmissions from like 1998 thru 2010 it’s all over the web those years worst trans built ever!!! Do you know about those pieces of junk? Ok back to Jeep tensioner pulley and belt...what sound was your Jeep making? Than you!!!
